Athena nodded. "Yes, that's right. One leg in each. You're doing very well!" she smiled as Coda pulled the pair of pants on. "Those are easy... since they're stretch pants, you don't have to do any buttons or zippers. I'm going to have to help you when you try on the jeans."

"Will I ever get use to it?" Coda asked as she stood up and pulled up the pants. She smiled as she did feel good in them, she bit her lower lip as she waited for Athena to answer.

"You will," Athena promised. "Soon enough, you'll get used to it, and you won't even have to think about it. And you're a very smart girl, so you'll start to figure things out pretty quickly. You're already doing very well."

Coda smiled. "So do I take these off now?" She asked gesturing to the sweat pants. She wasn't sure how long people was suppose to wear things just to try them.

Athena grabbed one of the tops from the hanger and handed it to Coda. "First, put this on, too, so you can see how they look together. Then you can stand up, so I can see how well they fit," Athena replied, standing up herself and looking at Coda. "You can look at yourself in the mirror and see what you think. How do they feel? Are they comfortable?"

Coda looked at the shirt then put it on like she would a dress. After putting it on she stood up and looked at herself. She tilted her head and thought to herself that it looked OK. "They do feel good... do they look good?"

"It looks good!" Athena said approvingly. She helped Coda change out of the first outfit, and tried the next one. Over the next several minutes, they tried the other two outfits, ending with the jeans and the wolf T-shirt. "OK, stand up again and let me know how those feel," Athena said.

Coda stood up and looked at herself in the mirror, she smiled at the wolf shirt and just for a second she thought she saw Tis in the mirror. "They feel good and I like how they look." She would make sure not to wear that shirt on a full moon. After a few more moments she changed back into the dress. "Is that all I'm trying on?"

"Yep," Athena said, gathering up the pile of clothes. "I think that's enough for now. We'll just take these things to the front desk and pay for them. What do you want to do next?"

I wanna go home.." Coda mumbled as she rubbed one eye with her fist, she was getting sleepy. She didn't say anything about it though.

"We can do that," Athena said. "I think we have enough stuff for now... next time I'll take you into town and we can look at books and stuff. But there's no need to do it all today." She led Coda out of the dressing room and up to the front desk. She handed the dress, as well as the pants, jeans, and shirts that they had picked out. After everything had been rung up, Athena handed the woman the correct amount of galleons. The woman bagged everything up for them, and soon they were back out on the street, headed back towards home.

Coda held onto Athena's hand as they walked toward home, she watched the ground as she tried to keep her eyes open. She looked up every few moments just to see how far they were from home. The last time she looked up she could see the house a little.

Athena walked quietly with Coda, fighting an urge to whistle a happy song. For once, it seemed like everything in her life was going well. She was in love with a wonderful man, she was safe, she had her two little boys and now she had a daughter. It seemed like nothing could go wrong. Hopefully, Alastor would be better from his illness soon, so that they could finally get married.
She was in such a good mood, that she didn't think anything was wrong at first when she approached the house and saw the door standing wide open. She figured that Colin or Nicky had just left the door open when they went out to play. But as she got closer to the door, she could see a terrible mess inside. "Oh, no..." she gasped. "Coda, wait right here," she said. "I want to see what's going on inside."

Coda looked inside the house and all sleepiness left, she sniffed trying to get a trace of her new fathers scent. Try as she might though she just couldn't seem to get it, she hugged herself as she thought something bad had happened. She hoped she was wrong though, she really hoped her not getting his scent was because of the other smells.

Athena took a deep breath and tried to swallow the fear that was already beginning to take hold of her. There was something very, very wrong here.
