Camp Opening Ceremony

[Albus Dumbledore]

Dumbledore arrived at the camp and began preparing for the opening ceremony. He felt that the camp was beginning on a dark note, and he regretted this, but he had no choice. The important thing now was to make sure that everything was secure and safe for the children.

[Lucie Wright]

Lucie arrived in the camp, she looked around, no-one was here yet apart from Dumbledore, she smiled and walked upto him, with her things. ''Hello Professor.'' Lucie said happily, ''How are you today?''

[Jon Thomas]

Jon heard about everything that had happened and he felt bad for it, but at camp, he was going to try and not think about the war starting. He entered the near empty dining hall. "Hello Professor, Lucie," said Jon with a smile.

[Lucie Wright]

Lucie turned around and grinned, she wrapped her arms around Jon, ''Hello!'' She said smiling.

[Jon Thomas]

Jon laughed and gave Lucie a hug. "Well, someone looks happy to see me," he said with a smile. "You know, after camp, I'm taking a job at the hospital."

[Lucie Wright]

''Oh my god, Thats so great!'' Lucie said, ''So I'm looking at Doctor Thomas then?'' She said smiling.

[Albus Dumbledore]

Dumbledore smiled at both of them. "Good to see you both," he said. He looked at Lucie worriedly for a moment. Sabrina's death was bound to hit her hard. He hoped she would be strong enough to make it through everything that seemed to be happening. But then, he thought, at least she had Jon to lean on. Hopefully, that would help.

[Lucie Wright]

Lucie smiled at Dumbledore, she was happy her and Jon were together, this year had been one heck of a rollercoster... First Elle being kidnapped, then Ian being killed, then Latias death - Now her cousin is dead. Things seemed to have gone from bad to worse... Hopefully things would look better in the future...

[Jon Thomas]

Jon smiled at Dumbledore, then back at Lucie. "I guess you could say that," said Jon. "I'm excited to be working at the hospital, although I can't say my parents really approve."

[Lucie Wright]

''Oh... How come?'' Lucie said.

[Rori Logan]

Rori made it to Camp with no problem at all. She still felt bad about how Voltaire had changed, and that Conor was missing. Rori didn't really want to leave Isabella alone, but she had to go to Camp. So many things were happening, but hopefully things would be calm, or somewhat calm here. Rori saw Lucie, Jon, and Dumbledore already there. She gave them a smile.

[Landon Travis]

Landon arrived at the camp shortly after Rori did. He saw Dumbledore off to the side with Jon and Lucie. He couldn't help but wonder what Dumbledore thought about what had happened. He didn't seem to be all that worried, but surely he was a little uneasy about the situation. Landon continued over to a table and sat down without saying anything.

[Rori Logan]

Rori glanced towards Landon, and followed him to the table that he sat at, and took the seat next to him. "Hey Landon," said Rori. "You okay?"

[Landon Travis]

"Oh, hey." Landon replied, giving Rori a slight smile. "Yeah, I think I'm OK. Its just that- well, nevermind. Its nothing." He said, smiling again. Ever since he had seen Rori and Voltaire helping each other out with their emotional problems at Sabrina's funeral, Landon had been dwelling on thoughts and memories of his parents- particularly about his dad. He had never really given any thought to why his dad had suddenly decided to take his own and his wife's lives. Why would he leave Landon all alone? "How are you doing?"

[Rori Logan]

"Worried about Conor and Voltaire," said Rori. "But other than that I think I'm alright." Rori studied him for a moment. "Tell me what you were going to say. I don't care if you think it's not important. It's important to me," she said.

[Landon Travis]

"Its not a big deal." Landon repeated, shaking his head. "Its just that I've been thinking about my parents a lot lately. Mostly about my dad and about the night he killed my mom and then himself too. I just don't understand why he did it and why he would want to leave me alone with my aunt." He sighed, looking down at the ground. "I don't know if I did something that really pissed him off to the point of no return or what. I'm not going to lie to you. Seeing you with Voltaire the other day and how you both seem to help each other through everything so easily just made me kind of jealous. Not jealous like the "you don't deserve him" kind, it just made me wish I had had a different dad to begin with." He frowned, looking up at her.

[Rori Logan]

Rori frowned. "It's not your fault," said Rori. "It's his. Maybe he had some kind of mental breakdown, maybe he was drunk," she said. "Don't blame yourself for other people's decisions."

[Landon Travis]

"I guess you're right." Landon shrugged. "But I just don't understand why he did it. I know he was always kind of a little bad with managing his drinking problem, but nothing major had happened before. As far as I knew, things were going pretty well between my parents. And then...it just randomly happened. I've never really invested much thought in it." He frowned. "But, nevermind. I suppose we can talk about this later. I don't want to ruin the whole ceremony for both of us. This is supposed to be a vacation from our troubles." He added, forcing a smile to spread across his face.

[Rori Logan]

Rori gave him a smile in return. "Yeah, I guess it is supposed to be a vacation from our troubles," she said. "I hope Camp turns out to be alright, you know, no problems or anything like that. But then again who knows?"

[Landon Travis]

"With all that seems to be going on lately, its kinda hard to believe that we're not gonna have any problems. But, you know, I'm sure Dumbledore will make sure plenty of precautions are made and that the whole place is guarded. But hopefully they won't be needed." He added with a real smile this time. "We should probably enjoy our peace and time away from school as much as possible while we still have it. You never really know what could happen."
