Camp Opening Ceremony

[Bellatrix Black]

"Yeah, you too. Be nice to Severus," she called after him. She turned to Dean, who had gone back to being his quiet self. "You should come too, Hallowell." She flashed him a smile before turning to track down Elle, Blackia, and Aly.

[Dean Hallowell]

Dean nodded. "Yeah, I think maybe I will. It's not like I've anything better to do. Just about anything would be better than hanging out with a bunch of annoying little Gryffindors. By the way, isn't one of them your cousin?"

[Bellatrix Black]

"Sirius, yeah." She answered with disgust in her voice. "You'll have your hands full with him, filthy blood traitor." She muttered this last part to herself. She really couldn't explain Sirius, or her sister Andromeda. How could two apples fall so far from the pure blooded tree?

[Kris Lupin]

Kris went over to where Remus and Rori sat. She didn't say anything she didn't eat anything, she was already missing her father.

[Albus Dumbledore]

Dumbledore clapped his hands together. "OK, everyone. As soon as you have finished eating, you may all go to your cabins. Your team leaders will lead the way. Sleep well, chidren, for tomorrow will be a busy day!"

[Jon Thomas]

Jon had sat at the table with his group. He knew a few of them from being in the same house as him. He felt kind of bad that Gilderoy was in the group, but he would treat him fairly just the same. Jon finished up his plate. "Well boys, as soon as you're done, I will show you to your cabin. We're in no rush, so take your time," said Jon to his group.

[Narcissa Black]

Narcissa had slipped into the hall just as Dumbledore finished his first speech about the groups. She hung around in the back for a few more minutes and slipped to the table where the Doves where sitting. Narcissa took a look at her group. A sad bunch it was. One of the Wright girls was the leader, but the only other Slytherin as Anne Christian. Narcissa never really made it a point to talk to her. Of course, she had her reasons. She picked at her food, but she did eat some. Finally Dumbledore said something about they could go to the cabins once they were finished. Narcissa hoped the Wright girl would go ahead and say that they were heading to the cabins. This summer was going to be somewhat horrible, seeing as what group she was in.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius walked casually past where Narcissa was sitting as he was on his way to meet with his own group. He leaned in close to her and whispered, "Try to sneak out tonight. Some of us are meeting in the woods for a bonfire."

[Landon Travis]

Landon looked up at his own group leader, finishing up his food as he watched him, trying to get a feel for what he might be like as a leader. He seemed nice enough to possibly make up for the fact that he was going to be living in the direct vicinity of Gilderoy for the several weeks. "Well, good luck with Dean. We'll see who turns out to be more of an annoyance- Gilderoy or your leader. Maybe I actually ended up with the better side of the deal." He shrugged, grinning slightly at Rori and Remus. "I should probably go over and sit with my group, so I'll see you two later." He added, getting up and walking over to the table where most of his teammates were sitting.

[Lucie Wright]

Lucie ate some of her food and announced to the group, ''OK, guys. Once you've all finished eating, I'll take you to the cabin.'' She said smiling. She watched closely, but slyly, at Lucius walking past. She didn't think anything of it.

[Jon Thomas]

Jon stole another glance at Lucie, but then turned back to his table. "I take it that you know each other," said Jon. "I know these hufflepuffs here, but you're Landon right," he said to the Ravenclaw boy.

[Landon Travis]

"Yeah." Landon replied, nodding as he sat down at his group's table. "That's me. And I guess you're Jon then? I don't really know many Hufflepuffs." He admitted, looking around at his fellow teammates and trying to see if he could guess who was who.

[Remus Lupin]

"Thanks," Remus called after Landon. "Good luck to you, too." He glanced again at his team leader, who seemed to have no intention of walking over to them. He was sitting in hs chair, glaring over at them almost hatefully. "Why do I have the feeling this is going to suck?"

[Dean Hallowell]

Dean rolled his eyes. "Great. Well, thanks for the advice. Good luck with your group." He looked over at the group that was supposed to be his team. One of them, a scraggly looking kid with sad-looking eyes, was looking over at him suspiciously. Dean made a face at him, just to scare him, then sighed. There was no sense in putting it off any longer. The sooner he got these kids back to their cabin, the sooner he could get away from them. He got up and walked over to them. "So, you're my team, huh? I'm Dean. I expect you kids to listen to what say, and there won't be any trouble. Got it?"

[Gia Campbell]

Gia looked around at her group. She hoped maybe she'd have a better chance at making friends if she worked in a smaller group. There was at least one other Gryffindor, which was good. Maybe she could talk to Katie, at least.

[Jon Thomas]

"Yeah, I'm Jon," he said. "Well, I'm sure you know Lockhart." Jon leaned over and whispered in Landon's ear, "Who doesn't know him? I don't mean to be mean, but you could pick him out of anyone, right?" Jon leaned back up and coughed to keep from laughing. "And the other is Aaron Holmes."

[Justine Torrance]

Justine walked over to her group and saw a Gryffindor girl standing alone. She went and stood near her and said casually, "hey."

[Landon Travis]

Landon just grinned and gave a nod as his answer. "Right. OK, cool." He added with a slight smile. He was still kind of disappointed he hadn't been with grouped up with Remus and all of them. But this wasn't so bad. "Nice to meet all of you."

[Anonimus White]

Anonimus walked in very late...as usual. He walked over to the nearest table "Hey...um...could anyone please tell me what is going on."

"Oh, uh...hey." Aaron greeted the kid, recognizing him as a fellow Hufflepuff. Finally, he had an excuse to ignore Gilderoy. "Nothing much has happened yet. All I know is that we're teammates. You, me, a couple of Slytherins, and some other random guys. You're McAllister, right?" He asked in a slight whisper.

"Yeah but heverybody just calls me Mac." He grinned as the older teen eagerly talked with him. When Mac regognized who else was at the table he understood why. Sitting with them was gilderoy Lockhart, the most annoying being to have ever walked the face of the planet.

Peter shrugged. "Becuse being under the rule of a Slytherin sucks?" He suggested helpfully.
