Sin muttered something under his breath but continued to walk forward dropping the tray off and simply taking his drink before joining them at the table. He sent a look towards Alyx that mixed annoyance with mild disgust, but there was no trace of guilt in his eyes, or in his frame, even though there should have been for the lie he told her.
To him he wanted space, needed it to sort things out, and she simply refused to give it to him. In fact he was halfway convinced that she had followed him there, and he was drawing a line mentally.
"Sorry we didn't know you'd be joining us." he said in reference to the Butterbeers, but through his tone subtle as it was he was almost telling her to go away.

Alyx smiled at Reese however and for a few moments it was an easy going relaxed feeling. Reese was nice and comfortable, and Alyx could understand why Sin enjoyed hanging out with him. Perhaps she would hang out with them as well, if Sin would let her, or if it wouldn't terribly upset him.
When Sin and Jackie joined them, the fact that Sin had lied to her disappeared and she was simply happy to see him, she smiled, but quickly recoiled at the look he directed her way. She remembered then she was supposed to be angry with him for not studying when he mentioned the drinks.
"I'm not all that thirsty." she replied with a shrug. She turned to Jackie then and smiled, "Hey." she could pointedly ignore Sin just as well.

Jackie just watched them for a moment as she set a drink in front of Reese, and she gave him a questioning look. He shrugged.
"Hey," she replied, and pushed her butterbeer bottle across the table. "You can have mine. I'll get another. It's not a big deal." Sin may be acting weird, but she wanted Alyx to feel welcome with them.

Sean was just stepping onto the streets of Hogsmeade, his wand in his hand and in the open. His own day off had been the day before, so he was bright eyed and bushy tailed, so to speak.
"We were here not so long ago," he mused, remembering when they used to sneak off to Hogsmeade evn when they weren't supposed to. "You know, for being Law Enforcement now, you and I sure broke a lot of rules."

Daniel was wide awake and alert like Sean. Even though he worked yesterday, he made sure that he had enough sleep to get him through the day.
"I know," he said. He chuckled. "Ironic is it not?" The memories of sneaking away made him laugh. "Although you know, I think that makes us good at our jobs. We know what we should look for. Besides, I think we could surprise a few of our old professors, don't you think?"

Sean laughed. "Oh, you mean you didn't put that under 'experiece' on your resume?" He shook his head, wondering how they had come so far in just a few years. There was a lot of growing up between graduating and where they were now.
"Actually, our teachers are impressed with us now. McGonagall says hello, by the way." He smiled almost sheepishly. He had been back to visit once or twice, always more sentimental than Dan.

"It's the Ferreras at Hogwarts, isn't it? I don't know if we should call them... their kids are probably here, and we'd just be worrying them now. But we should ask for more help."
They hadn't heard back from Riley or Roland yet, but he wasn't worried about that. He just hoped they could make it to help them.

Molly was already working when the students started to arrive. She was used to some of the richer students coming in during the lunch rush, which was always a pain, but she didn't mind. She usually got some pretty nice tips when that happened.
Putting on her apron, she went to her first table.

"Oh I thought about putting it under my experience on my resume, but I didn't know how well 'past troublemaker' would go." Daniel laughed again. It was true, the brothers had matured a lot since graduation.
"I should stop by and see them myself. Its been a little while since I've seen them. At least we have impressed them and not disappointed them."

Sas had survived her first week of work at the department, and she was glad that she seemed to get along very well with Krushik. He made her laugh, and she had already learned quite a bit from him.
She took her first day off to visit Hogsmeade, deciding just to get a butterbeer or something, a private celebration for finally getting into the department. Later, she would go back home and clean up a bit. She also eyed the Owl Emporium, wondering if they had any cats in. All in all, she would just take her time and enoy herself today.

Seanjust shrugged, his eyes on the streets. "I put it on mine," he lied, teasing. "And we both got the job. Who knew?"
He considered their reign at Hogwarts. Sean had been extremely well behaved in his first couple of years, but he loosened up considerably when he learned the ropes. Soon enough, he was causing chaos with his brother.
"You know, I think there was very little we could have done to disappoint them, actually."

Post by Scarlette Meyers on Dec 30, 2008 20:56:30 GMT -5
Scarlette was coming into Hogsmeade with a group of girls from Gryffindor. She had planned on coming with Gwen, but her parents pulled her home at the last minute, leaving Scarlette without plans. She was fine with it, and figurd she would tag along with whoever she wanted. Jamie had hinted that they might meet up later, and she found it a little surprising that she was kind of looking forward to it.

Nolan was waiting by the entrance on the school, bouncing on his heels, bored. He was waiting for Jeremy, though he suspected that perhaps Alenna might be joining them. He didn't mind at all, of course. He had also extended to invitation to Julia, a good friend of his, but he wasn't sure if she would take it or not. He would find out there.
"Come on, Jeremy. You're killing me," he said out loud, to no one in particular.

Rhianne bounced past Nolan, barely even giving him a glance as she tried to catch up with the rest of the students.
When she found herself in the village, she made her way to the front of Honeydukes, where Scarlette said she would be. She hoped that while she was out, she would see one of her two brothers. Jacob seemed the most likely.

Post by Roland Ferrera on Dec 30, 2008 22:47:28 GMT -5
Roland and Riley had been close by when they got the message, on their way to Hogwarts. Although the message was cryptic, they agreed it would be a good idea to go back to Hogsmeade and see what was going on. They dodged the first wave of students who had burst into the town with all their energy and enthusiasm and made their way over to Ted and Veronica.
"Hey, we got your message," Roland said, looking at them seriously. "What's going on?"

Alyx smiled, " No really, I'm fine." she nodded then again because she didn't have much to say and did feel awkward, "It's...a nice day to be out." she muttered then lowered her eyes to the table, she was rather subdued by Sin's apparent anger at her. She wanted to take him aside and shake the answers out of him. Why was he mad at her? Why was he avoiding her?
After a few moments of silence she began to feel uncomfortable.

Christine needed things to do to keep her busy. She was not a creature of idleness and decided to take a walk, her feet guided her to Hogsmeade where shops were interesting enough but something else hung in the air. She was at the edge of suspense expecting someone or something to jump out at her and her hand tightened around her wand. She wanted adventure but she would also be prepared for whatever came her way.
Still after a few minutes of finding nothing she headed toward the three broomsticks. She glanced inside and around a bit looking for a familiar face. Smiling there were a few people she had been introduced to and made the small trek to that booth. Oblivious to the tension between Sin and Alyx she came up to their table personable as ever.
She had met Reese when she first arrived and liked him straight away, she had later been introduced to Sin and Jackie, but she didn't know Alyx. She liked Jackie from what she could immediately tell the girl was down to earth and easy to befriend which was nice. Sin was like his name, and that meant temptation, but she was safe from his attentions since she could tell he was an easy flirt but didn't mean anything by it.
"Can I join you?" she asked glancing around for a chair to put at the end of the table if there were no objections.

Natasha and Ashton had made the trek to Hogsmeade to do nothing more than browse. Although she had been warned against going to Hogsmeade today by a few people, she never cared what others thought or said and she would do as she pleased. It was almost a dare to her that she go into town then. She dragged Ashton from store to store as she often did and he didn't complain which she was grateful for.
Their relationship was a strange one but a beneficial one for the both of them. She couldn't deny that she was happy for the extra muscle during whatever was going on lately, but aside from that he provided stimulating conversation, and...he was the only one who knew what she really felt for her brother, and was sworn to secrecy.

Ted looked up gratefully when Riley and Roland joined them, and nodded to thank them for coming. They arrived a lot more quickly than Ted had suspected. He also thought he would feel better when they showed up, or when the students arrived and the streets were busy again. Both of these things had happened andhe still had the same feeling in his gut. He glanced at Veronica.
"Actually, we were wondering if you two were able to take a break from your assignment. We just feel like we might need some back up today."

Reese's eyebrows went up and he almost laughed, but he did roll his eyes. The tension was so thick he wasn't even sure a knife could cut it.
He sat up straighter when Christine joined, thankful for the new distraction. "Please, join us," he said, smiling when she was already grabbing another chair. Jackie scooted over, making room for her.
He looked back at Alyx. "And yes... it is a nice day."
