Hogsmeade Under Fire (THE ATTACK)

[Dean Fisher]

Everything with Jackie was a mess. It wasn't his fault what happened. He didn't even kiss Zoe back, he pushed her away. Dean had attempted to explain this to Jackie, but she wouldn't have it. She wouldn't even listen to him. Reese and Sin wouldn't even let him talk to her. He even tried to explain to them but they wouldn't listen to him either.

Dean did fuss at Zoe for doing what she did and he was doing what he could to avoid her. He was a wreck and it was evident. Dean hadn't really eaten that much nor did he really sleep. Dark circles were starting to become evident under his eyes from lack of sleep. Deciding that fresh air and away from the common room would probably be the best thing for him.

He put on his jacket, feeling thinner and tired, and started toward Hogsmeade alone. Maybe a few butterbeers would be alright, but it wouldn't cure anything. Dean sighed and seemed to walk like a zombie as he walked to the Three Broomsticks.

[Samantha Montgomery]

Samantha stepped out of one of the shops, she wasn't nervous but she realized she should have brought her brother with her or someone else. Even Lyra would have sufficed, but completely alone was untold danger. What if her "secret admirer" was Rafe? Now she was alone and she would be at his mercy. Not that she really wanted to get involved with a "secret admirer" in fact she was beginning to secretly admire someone herself so she was indeed here to let the man down gently. She was waiting for him just in front of the tea shop when a chill reached down her spine. Something in the air didn't feel right and she couldn't help but sense what it was.

[Ted Tonks]

"I know what you mean," she answered, turning to look at Ted. He was sober, and seemed better than he had been. It was a relief. "I get this feeling we should be calling for backup right about now. Isn't today a Hogsmeade weekend for the students?"

Ted looked over his shoulder, for probably the hundredth time. He just felt on edge, he felt like he was going to need to be ready on a second's notice.

"You know what, Veronica, maybe we should ask for another patrol. I know we've got a couple guys from The MLE... but I'd feel safer if we had a couple more Aurors."

[Rebecca "Bek" Caldwell]

Bek walked, hands in her pockets, through the villiage on the way to the Three Broomstick to meet up with her friends. She found them sitting on a bench talking to each other and decided to join them.

"Hey guys, whats up?" Bek said, taking a seat on the other side of Maxi.

[Maxi Borale]

"Seth, really, its okay, you've told me a million times that your dad is an arse. I was prepared," she smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Hey Bek," Maxi said as the Gryffindor of their quartet came and took a seat next to her. "Nothing, just talking," Seth and Maxi had both agreed not to mention the Inophen's to their friends. "Have you seen Gaget?"

[Jaquelyn Frazier]

Jackie had refused to see Dean, or speak to him, and Reese and Sin, bless their hearts, had been her buffer against him.

She missed him, though. Part of her knew that it was probably all Zoe... she had been so upset when she saw Jackie leaving his room, and she knew that Dean wasn't like that. But she was still a girl, insecure and upset behind it all. She had cried a lot in the beginning, and then she just acted like nothing had happened at all, like she wasn't even friends with Dean.

It was Reese that convinced her to come to Hogsmeade this weekend, and she agreed. She needed to get out of the castle, so she agreed.

She and Reese walked into the Three Broomsticks, where they had told Sin to meet up with them if he was in the mood.

[Sin Savira]

Sin, to perhaps his shame, was avoiding Alyx and thought to do so by hanging out more with Jackie and Reese. He was hugely annoyed and angry with Dean for hurting Jackie but it also gave him an excuse to be away from Alyx. He just needed time to figure out what he was doing, what he was going to do. He felt bad of course for "abandoning" his best friend, but it was better than fumbling around awkwardly because he knew she had feelings for him. Or hell, perhaps he was just an ass.

He was going to meet up with Jackie and Reese now. They had gotten closer in the past few days and he could almost feel himself leaving Alyx behind, as he forced himself not to think of the matter.

He put on a happy face for his friends as he entered the Three Broom Sticks, shortly after they did.

[Alyxandria Rye]

Alyx was beyond miserable. She didn't know what she did to cause Sin to ignore her, but whatever it was she was infinitely sorry about it. Alyx didn't have many friends, she was a solitary creature by habit, and not knowing where she belonged in the world was a huge detriment in trying to befriend anyone. But she had reached out with Sin, and for the past five years it was a good friendship, what the hell had happened?

That morning she decided to put it behind her and go into Hogsmeade she needed to sort a few things out and simply try to come up with a plan to regain Sin's favor. She found herself at Honeydukes picking out his favorite candy. It was a small step, certainly not a bribe for him to forgive her, but rather perhaps something that they could talk about. She was so lost without having her best friend around, and she realized how few friends she really did have.

"Who? Me?" Gage said, running to his friends. "Hi guys, sorry I'm late." he said excitedly. Gage had never been to Hogsmeade before, and Seth promised that it'd be a lot of fun. "So, what are we going to do first?" he was nearly jumping up and down.

Jackie saw Sin come in, almost directly behind them, and she turned.

"Hey, Sin," she said, nodding towards a table in the back. Her eyes had swept past Dean, but she didn't really see him. She didn't even know he was there.

"What do you guys want, butterbeers? You save the table and I'll get us the drinks."

[Sin Savira]

Sin was rather oblivious himself to Dean's presence, "I'll go with you. Reese can save the seats." he said with a smile as he took her by the elbow and led her to the counter to order. He didn't feel like leaving Jackie alone, and hoped that she'd be occupied enough with her own troubles to notice his.

[Veronica Massey]

Veronica nodded slowly. Children from the school were starting to fill the streets and she felt a nervous twisting in her stomach. "Yeah... I think that would be a good idea. I don't even know why, but I feel like something's about to happen. I'll send a message to Roland and Riley, I think I heard they were heading this way this morning."

She took a breath and summoned a patronus, giving it the message to get into Hogsmeade right away.

[Reese Denton]

Reese rolled his eyes. "Thanks, leave me alone, hm?"

He waved them off towards the counter. "A butterbeer is fine, Jackie O." He knew he had to save the booth, or the other students would arrive soon enough and take it. He went and sat down, waiting for the two of them to come back.

He slid into the seat by the window, watching the rest of Hogwarts filing down the streets.

[Ted Tonks]

"Andromeda should be coming with the students, too," Ted said, and he paused slightly over her name. He tried not to think of her in any other capacity than as an Auror right now.

"That will make five of us. I'd feel a lot better about that." He wondered if they should alert Angelique. Granted, it was just a feeling, but they had all been trained to trust their instincts. He shook his head. "I don't know, though."

[Alyxandria Rye]

Alyx finished her shopping and decided to stop for a butterbeer instead of heading back to the school. Upon entry she didn't even see Sin or Jackie, but Reese rather as she was looking for someplace to sit. She didn't have a great relationship with the guy, in fact they hardly talked, but she knew that Reese and Sin were becoming fast friends and thought perhaps she could pick apart his brain.

"This seat taken?" she asked not knowing that Sin and Jackie would be back.

[Veronica Massey]

Veronica saw him hesitate over Andromeda's name, but didn't say anything about it. At least he was able to say her name without looking ready to kill himself. "There's probably a patrol over at Hogwarts, too... maybe we should summon them, just to be safe. Maybe we're just being paranoid, but if we both feel it, I don't want to take any chances."

[Reese Denton]

Reese looked away from the window, expecting to see Jackie and Sin back, but they were still at the bar.

"Oh, hey Alyx. Actually, Jackie and Sin are just up at the bar, but I'm sure we have room for one more." He didn't know any of the drama between Sin and Alyx, and all he knew was that the two were friends.

"Have a seat, doll."

[Alyxandria Rye]

Alyx was surprised that Sin was there. He told her he had to study for something. She knew he was lying right off the bat because Sin never studied, but she figured he was simply trying to get away to think for a while same as she, she didn't think he would lie to her so he could hang out with someone else.

The knowledge stung and she was bitter enough to thank Reese and take the seat. She wanted to watch Sin squirm at least a little or give her *some* explanation before she forgave him, of course forgiveness was on the list anyways.

"It's a nice day to be out." she commented.

[Sin Savira]

Sin helped Jackie place their orders or rather simply stood with her in line keeping her company until they could order then let Jackie order for them, he of course would pay for his own drink, and Reese's and Jackie's if she would let him, but would never allow Jackie to pay for him some honor code of ethics or something like that.

He waited for their drinks to be put on a tray and then took the tray so he could bring it to their table, he stopped in his tracks as he saw Alyx and almost got hit by another student passing by. Willfully he continued and tried to suppress his irritation at her finding him.

[Jaquelyn Frazier]

"What?" Jackie asked, nearly running into the back of him when he stopped. He stood inches taller than her, so she couldn't see what he stopped for. When there was room, she stepped around him and caught a glance at the table. She looked at Alyx, then back at Sin curiously.

"Well, come on," she said, taking two of the three drinks from him and walking to the table.
