James couldn't help but laugh at Remus' comment to Sirius. He shook his head as Sirius headed out the door and followed suit with Remus. "I want to thank you Remus for attempting with Lily. I'm not sure that she'll listen or believe you, but it's the effort that counts. I just want you to have fun with her," he said as they walked to meet with the girls. "I can also tell you this, I promise I won't do anything wrong with Robin. It's just a friend thing going out."
The boys reached the place they all agreed to meet the girls. A grin started to spread across his face. "Hey," James said greeting them.

Robin stood waiting for the guys by the front doors of the entrance hall. She felt a little nervous, wondering what she and James were going to talk about. She didn't really know much about him, and she'd never been on a date before. What did people do on a date? Was this even a date at all?
She still had no idea why James had decided to ask her out in the first place. She was used to being the girl sitting quietly in the room, unnoticed by anyone. And now, here she was, going to Hogsmeade with a popular boy... one who got noticed where ever he went. It was strange.
As the guys approached, she smiled shyly, hoping that the fluttery feeling in her stomach would go away soon. "Hey," she said to James.

James stopped in front of Robin with a grin still on his face. He took in her looks for a second. She looked pretty nice today. James turned his head to glance at the other two girls. "Hey Kris, Lily," he said greeting them as well. Turning back to Robin once again, he spoke. "How are you? And by the way, you look nice. Not that you don't all the time or anything, but you know what I mean."

Robin blushed and looked down at her feet for a minute, then back up at him. He looked pretty good, too. Muggle clothes suited him well, and she liked the way his hair was always kind of messy. "Thanks," she said. "You look nice, too." She wasn't sure what else to say, so she didn't say anything else.

James noticed her blushing and he couldn't help but grin again. "Thank you," he replied. Robin's blushing as cute, he had to admit that, however, he knew that he promised Remus that he wouldn't do anything wrong with Robin, and he was going to try to keep to that promise. Robin was one of the ones he didn't really want to lead on. She seemed like she was going to be a really good friend, and he was going to try to aim for that. He gave a glance towards Sirius and Remus. "Well, I suppose we should be heading off, don't you think," he said to the guys. James extended his arm to Robin. "Shall we?"

Robin laughed and looped her arm through his. "Yes, let's!" she said. She decided in that moment that, even if he didn't really want to go out with her or if things didn't work out, that at least she could maybe get a good friend out of it.

Remus turned to Lily with a shy smile. She looked really pretty today, with the sun shining on her red curls. He could understand exactly why James liked her so much. The fact was, she was easy to like. "Hey, Lily," he greeted her.

Lily glanced over in the direction that she heard a voice after speaking with Robin. Of course it was James, Sirius, and Remus. "Hey Remus," said Lily with a smile. Today maybe fun. After all, it was just going to be her and Remus, or so she hoped. No James or Sirius today, hopefully.

Lily thought that Remus looked cute whenever he put his hands in his pockets like that. Whoa, what made her think like that? She shook the thought away. "It doesn't really matter. We could go for a butterbeer if you want, or we could just walk in and out of the shops."

Lily reached out and took Remus' hand. It felt a little strange to hold his hand, but she didn't mind it. She had to admit she was excited about today, but then again she was always excited when she went to Hogsmeade. It was peaceful there and it was a chance to get out.

Remus walked with her, not saying anything for a few minutes. It felt nice to be outside, enjoying the fresh air. It was unusually warm for fall, and the leaves were starting to turn pretty shades of red, yellow, and orange.
Realizing that it was getting very quiet, Remus tried to think of something to talk to her about. "So, uh... what do you think of our classes this year?" he asked.

Lily wasn't sure what to say, so she just kept quite. She just admired the leaves changing. "The classes? Oh you know. They're pretty interesting this term, as usual. New stuff being taught as well as the old stuff. It's always so interesting. What about you? What do you think?"

Remus shrugged. "I guess they're OK. I'm just a little disappointed that some of our old teachers aren't here. I miss having Lucie for Charms. Not that Ms. Alchemia did bad or anything. I just liked Lucie. She let us call her by her first name and everything." He blushed slightly, not wanting to admit that he'd also always had a slight crush on her. After all, she was Sabrina's cousin...

Lily nodded in agreement. "Lucie was fun. I wonder what exactly happened to her," she said. "Well, I wonder what happened to our other professors. The new Care of Magical Creatures professors seem, well, a bit odd. Although, I guess that's just me." Lily have a slight shrug. She didn't notice Remus' blushing. "Maybe she'll come back sometime soon."

"Yeah, I guess they're all mostly OK," Remus said. "I heard there was a new Astronomy teacher, but I'm not taking that one anymore, so I don't know anything about him. But yeah... the Care of Magical Creatures professors are definitely strange..." he grinned.
