Emily went by Hogwarts to pick up Vincent for lunch. As they entered the Hot Panini, she noticed that weren't many people in there. Emily pushed him up to a table and sat across from him.

Vincent smiled at Emily. "So you really haven't been here yet? It's really good... although I really hope I have a better time this time than I did with Voltaire. Watching Isabella have a hormonal meltdown over meeting Voltaire's ex was not too much fun..." He picked up a menu.

Emily laughed. "I don't think I would have liked to see that," she said. Emily looked over the menu. "I guess I would have felt bad for Voltaire's ex, if Isa went totally crazy on her."

"Well, nothing happened. Voltaire managed to get rid of her before Isabella could do more than scream at her. But then she started yelling at Voltaire... I had to save him by telling how the crazy ex-girlfriend tried to strangle Voltaire right in front of me. Then Isabella started to cry about being fat." He shook his head. "I hope you don't get like that when you're... uh... hormonal." He'd almost said "pregnant," but since they really hadn't discussed children, he didn't want to freak her out.

Emily raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything at the moment. She scanned the menu again. "Well, I'm not as worried about how my body looks as Isa is. But a girl's hormones can go crazy at times and we can't really do anything about it."

Vincent reached across the table and took her hand. "Well, us guys can get moody sometimes, too. And sometimes we do stupid things like chase away the women we love just because of a misguided attempt to protect them. So I'm sure I can deal with your hormones if you can deal with my 'stupid male pride,' as Isabella called it."

"Well, I guess I can handle your 'stupid male pride'," said Emily laughing. "If we do have children, I honestly hope I don't turn as moody as Isa," she said frowning a bit. "I love Isa to death, but I have to say I hope I don't turn out like that."

Vincent laughed. "Yeah, me too. Voltaire seemed like he didn't know what to do about it. But I guess we can deal with that when--or if--we come to it, huh?" He looked at her seriously. "Do you want to have children? I mean, eventually? I know we haven't talked about it..."

"I mean I'd like to have one or two some time. You know, not right off, because we've still got the whole Dark Lord thing going on big right now, and I wouldn't want to endanger our child," said Emily.

Vincent nodded. "That makes sense. I agree. It's kind of a dangerous time to be having a child." He looked down at the menu. "So what do you think you'll have?"

"Well, the South pork chop is really good, but I don't think I'm up for something so heavy right now. We should come here for dinner sometime. I think I'll just get the potato soup and the classic ham and cheese sandwich," he said.

Becky had finally finished dealing with a particularly unpleasant customer, and she hurried over to the couple. "Hi, I'm sorry about the wait," she said. "Are you ready to order?"
