Becky walked up to the table, carrying a tray with their drinks and Vincent's soup and bread. "Here you go," she said pleasantly. "I'll be back soon with your sandwiches."

"Thank you," Vincent said to the waitress. He laughed. "Yeah, that would be a bit weird. You know... since I'm a Metamorphmagus, how do you really know that this is how I actually look? Maybe I really look like George." He laughed again and shuddered. "I just hope that's not how I'm going to look when I'm old..."

Emily laughed. "Yeah whenever you get old, you're going to have loss of hair, and a beer gut belly. Yeah buddy," she said smiling. "Nah, I don't think you're going to turn out like that, probably more like Evil McGee," said Emily with a wink.

"Ah!" Vincent gasped. "Yeah, I'm not sure what's worse--being fat and bald, or being stooped over and bony!" He shuddered again. "Will you still love me, even if I end up looking like either of them?"

"Of course I will!" said Emily seriously. "I can't stop loving you for anything!" she said giving him a grin. "I don't care if you do end up fat and bald or old, boney, and stooped over, it doesn't matter to me, because you're still the same, and you'll always be the same to me."

He smiled back. "And I feel the same way about you," he said. He wheeled his chair over to her side of the table, and with great effort, leaned up to kiss her.

Emily closed the space between them and kissed him. Normally she would sort of be kind of shy about showing affection in public, but now, she didn't really care. Emily pulled back and smiled at him. "I'm glad," she said putting her hand in his.

He smiled and began to rub the back of her hand with his thumb. "I should go back over and eat my soup, but it's nicer over here with you. I just can't wait until I can come back home with you. The hospital wing is getting really old..."

Emily laughed. "Well, I would imagine the hospital wing is getting old. I'll stay at the hospital wing with you, until either Poppy kicks me out, or you get out. Whichever is first," said Emily with a smile.

Becky walked over to the table, carrying a platter with their sandwiches. "Here you go," she said cheerfully. "Let me know if you need anything else." She smiled at them both and walked away to give them their privacy.

"Thanks," Vincent said to the waitress. He turned back to Emily. "Well, if you're staying there with me, it won't be so bad. I'm sure Poppy won't mind... too much." He grinned and took a bite of his sandwich. "Mmm, not bad. How's yours?"

"Good," Vincent said with a smile. "I'm glad we got out, too. I really do need to get out more often. Of course, any time I'm with you, it doesn't really matter where we are..."

Vincent took another bite of his sandwich and thought carefully. "You know, I really could go for some chocolate," he said. "It's been ages since I've had any; Madam Pomfrey makes the house elves make only healthy food!"

Emily laughed. "Well, we can go get some chocolate after lunch then! I mean most healthy food is good, but after awhile, I guess it's really bland. I can't blame you. I'm wanting some Bernie Bott's Every Flavour Beans."

Vincent laughed. "OK, that sounds good," he said. "I'll tell you what, I think by the time I'm able to walk again, I'll be in the best shape of my life! Between the healthy food, and all the physical therapy, I'm really getting into shape... not that I wasn't before, but you know what I mean."

Emily grinned. "That means, you can 'try' and catch me," she said teasingly. "I'm just kidding. I know what you mean. Oh, at the meeting, did you notice that Jackson was acting just a little strangly? Or is that me just being a little bit paranoid?"

Vincent laughed. "Well, it will certainly be fun to try..." he teased, lifting his eyebrows suggestively. He ate a little more of his soup. "Jackson... yeah, I don't know him very well, but I guess now that you mention it, he did seem a bit... out of it at the meeting. I wonder what's going on there."

"Well, I know the other night whenever I went back to the Hog's Head to check and make sure Zander put everything away, I heard someone around there, and then Jackson comes out of nowhere whenever this man in robes and hood appears. Well the man seemed just a little nervous about it, and didn't sound really convincing. I don't know what's up with Jackson, but I guess we'll find out soon," Emily said.
