"Good idea," Vincent said. "Well, Voltaire is definitely going to be my Best Man. I bet his speech will be interesting...."

Emily laughed. "Just like at his reception. Of course that was interesting, and basically almost every other thing he says is interesting."

Vincent laughed. "I still have no idea how he managed to get Isabella to fall in love with him, but I can tell she really loves him. They're both really lucky to have found each other... just as I'm lucky to have found you."

Emily smiled. "Well, I guess there's a lot of charm involved, but other than that, I dunno," Emily said with a little shrug. "I guess we actually have to think Delilah for that one," she said with a small smile.

"Yeah, I guess that's it. Don't get me wrong, though... Voltaire's a great guy. I just never would have pictured him with someone like Isabella. It's funny, though... you see them together and it all makes sense somehow." At the mention of Delilah, he raised his eyebrows. "You know, I'd almost forgotten about Delilah. I gotta tell you... watching you slay her that time... that was really something. You were amazing."

"But the sad thing is, I found out she was my aunt," said Emily frowning. "The last family I had left, and then I killed her, but then again it was necessary."

"Yeah, it was for the best. She was an evil vampire... and after all she put you through, you tw were never going to be close. There was no chance you could have reformed her. She caused those two kids to be murdered..." He sighed. "That seems so long ago, doesn't it?"

"It does seem like a long time ago," said Emily agreeing. "So much has happened over these several months, and everything seems like it happened so long ago, well, not everything, but you get my point," she said with a smile.

"I know what you mean," said Vincent. "It seems like time is moving so fast. Already it seems like I've known you all my life."

"And that's a good thing. Although, it could be a bad one, because you could tire of me. You wouldn't ever tire of me would you?" said Emily.

"Interesting answer," said Emily with a grin. "And, I feel the same about you," she added with a smile, but yet seriously. "Our wedding day is going to be one to remember. Before and after the wedding I think."

"I hope so," he smiled. "It's the only wedding I'm ever planning to have, so I'd like to make it memorable." He thought for a minute. "You know, speaking of memory, have you noticed anything odd about Voltaire's memory lately? When I saw him at the trial, he said something strange... has Isabella mentioned anything to you?"

Becky walked over to the table, carrying their dessert on a platter. "Here you go," she said, smiling. "One chocolate meltaway cake, two forks." She placed the cake on the table, and then set the forks in front of them. "Enjoy!" She walked back toward the kitchen.

"Thanks," Vincent said. "Wow, this looks... evill..." he said with a grin. He shrugged. Well, if Isabella's not worried, then maybe it's nothing. It's just something I picked up on when I saw Voltaire last... something was off, and I could tell he was concerned about something. But I'm sure if there was really a problem, Isabella would know about it."

Emily nodded. "That she would," Emily said taking a bite out of the chocolate cake. "This cake is really good," she added with a smile
