Yvonne didn't have many female friends. Other than Carley, there was her roommate, Penny, and that was pretty much it. Most of the rest of her friends were guys, which was fine... but sometimes she really did need to have a little girl talk. Carley was always good for that.
"Work's fine. You know, getting hit on by drunk guys almost every night... But I can take care of myself. Haven't had a date in almost a month... and Eddie's seeing a new guy."

"I'm sorry hon," Carley said with a frown. She knew all about the fact that Yvonne was pretty much in love with Eddie. A few times Carley had hung around the two of them and she could see what her friend saw in him but she felt bad that the feelings weren't exactly mutal. Since Yvonne was pretty much Carley's best friend, she had a duty to help her friend find someone else.
"We'll see if we can't fix that whole no date in a month." She smiled, trying to turn the conversation around to something that would be light. "If you'd like, however, we could have a few drinks talk about everything, then decide what we're going to do after that."

Yvonne gave her friend a grateful smile. They both knew that the situation was hopeless, having talked about it many times before. It sucked, but she was just going to have to figure out how to move on and find someone else... someone who felt the same way about her that she felt about him. Eddie was a great guy, but Yvonne had to accept that they could only ever be friends.
"Let's just drink and chat, and see what happens. Who knows? Maybe two hot guys will walk right up to us and sweep us off our feet. Stranger things have happened..."
She let out a little laugh as she took a sip from her drink. "Honestly, though... how is it I can get hit on by at least half a dozen guys each night and still end up dateless? I mean... You'd think there would have to be a good guy in there somewhere, right?"

"Well, most of the guys are drunk, so they probably wouldn't really remember asking you out," Carley said taking a drink. "However, there has to be a good guy in there some where. It may seem like we're waiting and waiting, but maybe it's when we think we can't wait anymore that they come along. Or maybe, it's also the whole thing of they come when we least expect it."
She rested her elbows on the counter. "But it will all work out eventually. Everything usually does, right? We'll have a little fun along the way."

"Yeah, that's true," Yvonne said. "And even if they did ask me out, I wouldn't say yes, anyway. The more drunk they get, the more unattractive they get, you know? I had a guy the other night--no lie--he actually threw up right on the bar, then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to make out with him. Ugh... please! If I ever get that desperate, please... promise me you'll Avada Kedavra me..."
She rolled her eyes dramatically at that, then began to look around. It wasn't long before her eyes fell on what had to be the two most attractive guys in the pub... and they just happened to be sitting on the opposite side of the bar from the girls. Yvonne nudged Carley. "Now, they're interesting...." she said, raising her eyebrows at her friend. "Turn slowly, and look casual."

"That I can promise you," Carley said with a laugh. "Although I don't ever see you getting that desperate."
When Carley turned around, it wasn't exactly really slow and her eyes looked around to find the two that Yvonne mentioned. Once she found them, she looked back to her friend and grinned. Maybe it was a little obvious that she had looked in their direction, but Carley didn't think to much of it.
"They are quite interesting." She picked up her drink again and took another sip before very casually, this time, looked back for one more glance then turned back around. "They're both pretty cute."

If Carley's abrupt turn wasn't obvious enough, Yvonne's response, a loud laugh that was significantly higher in pitch than the rest of her voice, was certainly enough to call attention to the girls.
"Way to be subtle," she whispered loudly, nudging her friend again before she buried her face in her glass.
Truthfully, she didn't mind... the guys were very cute, and if it was enough to bring them over to the girls, then it couldn't be a bad thing. She just didn't want to appear desperate.

Xander was the kind of guy that was drawn to fun and laughter. If someone was having a good time somewhere, he wanted to be part of it. And if the person in question happened to be a cute girl--or a couple of cute girls--well, Xander definitely wanted to be part of it.
At the sound of loud, feminine laughter, he looked up and, over Issac's shoulder, he spotted two girls laughing and looking down toward the two guys. It was a sheer stroke of luck that there were no other people between them, even though there had to be about 6 or 7 seats between Ike and the brunette.
"Well, don't look now, buddy, but we've got a couple of girls checking us out," he drawled, the corner of his lip curling up in a smirk. "What do you reckon we should do about it?"

At Yvonne's response, Carley let out a laugh. She wasn't exactly known for being fairly subtle. Where was the fun in being completely subtle?
"Sorry," she said in between laughs. "See, better night already right?" To ease her giggles, Carley picked up her glass and drank. She sat her glass back down on the bar and looked back to Yvonne. "They might come over here, you never know."

Issac grinned. "Really now," he asked raising on eyebrow. This was the point that Issac went along with Xander. If he remained quiet, then he would probably get looks from his friend. Feeling a little courage, which he could only have around Xander (or so he thought), he glanced over his shoulder. He gave a one sided smile behind him and then looked back to Xander.
"I think they need company, especially if they're appearing to have a good time already. I mean, it is our job to make sure everyone is having fun. It seems to me that we need to check on that, yes?"

If Xander was aware of the fact that Issac was at all nervous about approaching the girls, he did not show it. He knew for a fact that girls liked Ike, and if he was a little shy and quiet, so much the better. Some girls liked the "strong, silent" types. Xander, of course, was the exact opposite. He was loud, bold, and oozing with charm, humor, and charisma. So they balanced each other out well whenever they met girls. They each attracted different types of girls.
"Exactly what I was thinking," he replied with a grin. Under the guise of trying to flag down the bartender, who happened to be on the same end of the bar as the two girls, Xander leaned far over, waving his hand even as he focused on the two girls.
"So," he said thoughfully, as though it were a matter of utmost importance, "which do you prefer? Blonde or brunette?"

This was exactly what needed to happen after a long day of working. It never failed that the boys would have fun, with or without meeting girls. Putting all of his worries behind him, Issac grinned again in Xander's direction.
"I don't have a strong preference, so I'll just take the one that is fortunate enough not to fall over your ugly mug," he said with a laugh. Issac wasn't exactly choosey when it came to talking to girls. Everyone needed a little self confidence boost every now and again.

Xander rolled his eyes dramatically. "Oh, haha, very funny," he said. "You know, if you weren't here, I bet I could have both of those girls eating out of my hand, if I wanted to. Lucky you, though, I believe in sharing with the less fortunate."
He added a playful nudge, just to remind him that he was kidding. And of course, it was all just talk. He had never even attempted to pick up two girls at once... it was just one of those things that guys liked to brag about.
The bartender had finally responded to Xander's not-so-subtle summons, and was standing in such a way that he blocked the view of the girls. Xander frowned, then flashed a grin at the bartender. "Hey, listen," he began. "Tell those two girls down at the end that the next drink's on me."

Yvonne, never the shy type of girl, was also watching the two guys, sizing them up. At least once, she locked eyes with the darker-haired one, who was definitely checking out her and Carley. A grin spread across her face.
"I think we've definitely got their attention," she said to Carley, taking a sip from her drink and trying her best to appear cool and indifferent. "I bet they're buying us drinks right now. Just wait... I see this all the time at the club. Which one do you like? Or don't you have a preference?"

Once again, Carley looked over her shoulder and this time, casually looked back at the guys. They were both really cute, and she couldn't help the smile that spread across her face. As the bartender blocked their view, she looked back to Yvonne.
"I would agree with you completely," she said with a small laugh. "And I won't say no if they're going to pay for the next drink either. I don't really have a specific preference. We're just having fun, right?"

Sure enough, the bartender approached the two girls just then with a grin on his face. "The two gentlemen down at the other end say the next drink is on them," he said.
Yvonne let out another one of her loud, ringing laughs. "Well, you tell them that we don't accept drinks from guys who don't come over and introduce themselves first," she said, grinning widely as she peered across the bar at the two guys and beckoned to them with her index finger.

Xander was watching the whole thing in a very obvious, unsubtle manner. He was leaning far across the bar, and nearly lost his balance on the high barstool. Luckily, he was able to right himself before he fell back on the floor (which surely would not have been very cool). When Yvonne beckoned them over, he pretended to look around, as though he thought she was referring to someone else. Then he pointed to himself in mock surprise.
"Well, Ikey boy," he said, grinning slyly at his friend. "It seems we're being summoned. Why don't we go over and introduce ourselves?"

Xander's actions caused Issac to roll his eyes. Of course he wasn't the most subtle guy himself, but watching his friend caused him to laugh.
Issac grabbed his drink and stood up. "That would be the right thing to do," he said with a laugh. He never had to worry about stressing over things every day. Sure, at the beginning of the day, he may be a little stressed, but by the time he hung out with Xander, all stress and worries were behind him.
He followed Xander over to where the girls were standing. "Hello ladies," he said greeting them.

Yvonne had a tendency to take the lead in situations like this. She had expected the darker-haired guy to do the same, but was pleasantly surprised when the second guy spoke first. Up close, both guys were even cuter than she had thought. Grinning slyly, she shot a look at Carley before turning her attention to the guys.
"About time you guys made it over here," she said. "We were getting bored."

As they approached the two girls, Xander opened his mouth to speak, only to have Issac speak first. Closing his mouth, he gave Ike a little punch on the side of his arm. Although, it was probably a good thing, because Xander probably would have come out with one of his cheesy pickup lines... Not that anything would stop him from doing that.
"Well, if you wanted to talk to us, all you had to do was Summon us," he said, winking. "You know, Accio the man of your dreams... I'm sure that would have worked."
He winked at this comment, then leaned against the edge of the bar.
