"I don't think a little terrified even covers it," she said with a laugh. "And you can be pretty intimidating yourself Mr. Martin. That was what the last guy thought anyway. He was too scared to even walk me to the door." Gabriella rolled her eyes. It was near impossible for her to ever have a normal date, let alone an actual boyfriend. Her father was intimidating and he would send someone out to follow them. Of course, she knew that it wasn't because he didn't trust her, it was because her father didn't trust the guy.
"But I don't mind not really dating, because we can go grab something to eat, or go do whatever, and not have to worry about anyone following us. Plus, you don't have to sit at the table near us, and make faces at me behind anyone's back," she said giving him a teasing smile.

"Me? Make faces?" Declin said innocently. "I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about Miss Santino," Declin chuckled.
"And I hear you on the not dating thing, those convorsations are never fun. The small-talk, you know? 'Oh, so what do you do for a living?' 'Well, Betsy, I'm a body guard for a well known and strictly business mob boss and his family. We deal with a lot of illegal business and...wait, why are you running away? I haven't even talked about the insane hours and vitally dangerous stuff we do...'" he mimed a person running past him with a laugh. "Yea, I think I'm happy with spending the day either with you or my empty fridge thank you very much." Declin grinned at her, poking her in the side.

Declin's example of small talk made a laugh escape Gabriella. It was difficult telling anyone that you were in with the Santino's. Of course, her last name gave it away for her, but still. Maybe she would be able to start dating again whenever she finally moved out of the house. Although, her father might still find some way to send someone to follow.
"Hopefully I'm more entertaining than you spending the day with your empty fridge," she said looking at him teasingly. When his finger met her side, it made her jump. She shot him a look. Gabriella was extremely ticklish. "Don't even think about it." Her tone still had a teasing tone to it as she looked at him.

"Oh yes, much more entertaining," Declin grinned. Looking at an empty fridge was never exactly that much fun, until he tried to convince himself it wasn't empty and he was just full, or he knew he was going out with Gabriella later, or he was eating at the Santino's. Otherwise, he much prefered either being with Gabriella, or reasearching the last where-abouts of his father... But Gabriella didn't need to know that last little bit.
"Think about what?" Again with the innocent facade. "This?" He poked Gabriella in the side and when she jumped again, Declin couldn't help but laugh before attacking her by tickling.

"Good," she said with a laugh.
At Declin's innocent facade, Gabriella looked at him pointedly before jumping again because his finger met her side. "No," she barely got out as she let out a squeal of laughter. She didn't mind him tickling her, and she knew that he knew that. As he couldn't to tickle her, Gabriella tried to wiggle out of his tickling but she knew that it was useless.
"Declin," Gabriella got out between laughs.

"What, sorry Gabriella, I can't hear you," Declin laughed, as he tickled her mercilessly. He laughed as well and when he decided enough was enough and that Gabriella needed a chance to breathe again, Declin stopped. Still laughing he slid down to sit on the floor, leaning against the sofa with a big smile on his face.
"Oh Gabs, what would I do without you," he asked, finding he askes himself that question alot. He grinned up at her, seeing her upsidedown from his position on the floor.

She was laughing so hard tears were clouding her eyes. Gabriella attempted to say Declin's name but failed because of her laughter. Once he stopped tickling her, she took in a deep breath trying to calm her heart rate from all the laughter.
When Declin slid off the couch, Gabriella looked down and smiled. "I don't know," she replied. "I think we'd both be completely lost." It was true. If he wasn't for Declin, she wouldn't have had as much fun as she did. He did a lot of things to amuse her and had fun doing them, rather than being a stiff about it. "You're my most favorite person in the world with the exception of my parents, you know that, right?"

Declin nodded his head. He agreed, as he always did. Declin would be no where without Gabriella. Not only did she introduce him to her father, who not only accepted him as family but promiced to aid him in his search for his brother and sister, but she became his best friend, which was the greatest thing he could ask for because there was no friend like Gabriella.
"And you mine," Declin said. hi mind wandered to Kendra, wondering if he would be as close with his sister as he was with Gabriella. Would he even have MET Gabriella if his father hadn't kidnapped his siblings? Was all of this just some twisted course of fate?
His mind began to travel deep into these questions and he became very contemplative.

A smile appeared on Gabriella's face again. She moved to lay down on the couch and moved her hands underneath her chin.
Gabriella did have to admit that she was glad that she ran into Declin. Sure, Sedona was her best friend too, and they were going to defy their parents together by opening up their own store; however, the time she wasn't spending with Sedona would have been a little too quite. She would have worked on making new clothes of course, but going out wouldn't be no where near as fun if she wasn't with Sedona. Going out with a bodyguard was actually fun, and needless to say she didn't ever really refer Declin as one even though she knew that if she ever needed him to, he would jump into action.
"Hey, Dec," she said softly as she saw the look that crossed his face. "Are you alright?

"Wha?" He had zoned out for a minute, which happened when he got ahead of himself, He looked up at Gabriella, who was looking back at him and seemd concerned. "Yea, i'm fine." he said honestly, brushing it off. "I just zoned out there for a minute, I'm all good." he smiled at her sincerelly.
(sorry that was a shorty)

Gabriella knew that it wasn't any of her business as to why Declin zoned out. She did know that a reason Declin joined her father was because he wanted to find his brother and sister and she supposed that whenever he zoned out, his thoughts went there. Like her mother, Gabriella was kept in the dark about all the little things that her father did but she had no doubt that Declin would find his siblings again.
Sometimes she wished that he would talk about it, but she wasn't going to push. If he wanted to talk about it, he would, right? Gabriella looked back at him, half unconvinced that he was fine but after a long concerned look, she put on a light smile. "Alright," she said. "Just checking that you were still here."

He knew that his occasional zoning off would sometimes cause an awkward situation between he and whoever he was with, but being that he was with Gabriella, he didn't feel awkward. He saw the look of concern on her face for only a moment before he replaced it with a smile.
"Yea, I'm back, I'm good," Declin said, putting it behind them and making a note not to dwell more on his brother and sister for the time being. "Okay, well, we talked about work and our last couple of days and family..." Declin said. "And fears of scarry movies and ice cream for lunch, what's next Gabs?"

Resting her chin on her hands as she was at eye level with Declin, Gabriella gave a light shrug. The movie that had been on was completely forgotten as she attempted to rack her brain for something else. "We could go out to dinner one night," she offered. "You could actually have fun at dinner instead of having to worrying about following me if I was with someone else." Gabriella smiled wider. "We could go to those little places that has all those games you can play. I've always wanted to go there. That could be fun, right? Plus you wouldn't have to worry about making anything from the freezer." She winked and smiled teasingly.

"Dinner would be fun," he said. "Beats babysitting you," he smirked, winking at Gabriella. "Or basically stalking you, or making faces at your dates behind their back because I am obviously[/] more entertaining," he chuckled.
"Yea, I know a couple game-and-food places in Muggle London we could go to," Declin added. "When should we go?" he took out his wand and flicked it at the TV, turning it off. Neither of them were watching anyway.

"Okay, I admit, they weren't the most entertaining lot but that is one reason why they never made it passed the first date," she said with a laugh. Of course another reason why they never made it passed a first date was because of Declin keeping an eye on them. Gabriella never blamed him for ruining anything; there was no reason to.
"We could go tomorrow or something, if father is not working you too hard." She looked at him teasingly. "Doesn't matter what time we go." Going out with Declin was always fun because he wasn't scared to let loose in front of her and she didn't have to worry about anyone following them. "And we have to play billards, if they have it because we never finished the game we started here. If I remember correctly I was beating you," she said with a playful smile.

"Don't lie, you know they never get to the first date cause you always compare them to the number one most amazing guy ever," He smiled wisely and poked his chest with his thumb. "What can I say, I'm just that awesome!"
"I'm working this weekend," rarely was he ever schedualed to work. Usually, Mr. Santino just called on him to show up. But this weekend he was supposed to be checking in on the new guy Mr. Santino found in a bar. "But tomorrow's what? Friday? I'm free," because, besides hanging out with Gabriella and working for her father he HAD a life? "And know, i believe your memory is faltering Miss, because i was deffinatly kicking your butt in billards."

Declin working this weekend meant that Gabriella wouldn't be seeing him. It would be alright because maybe that meant that her father would be busy too and she could sneak off to meet Sedona if she wasn't too busy.
A smile etched its way across her lips. "Good. Maybe we could go around seven tomorrow?" Hearing his rebuttle, Gabriella gave a gasp hiding her smile. "Were you now," she asked raising her eyebrows and tilting her head to the side. She reached down and poked him gently. "I believe your memory is faltering kind Sir, because I was totally kicking yours, you just don't want to admit it."

Declin wondered slightly who Mr. Santino had watch out for Gabriella if he was working elsewhere. Did he let her go out on her own? Or did she have to stay home? He hoped she got to get out and about, she really was capable of taking care of herself most of the time.
Declin was laughing now. "Okay okay, so you were winning, so you say but I'll let you in on a little secret." He leaned forward to whisper in her ear. "I was totally letting you win," he smirked.

She leaned forward so that he wouldn't have to stretch awkwardly to whisper in her ear. Hearing his 'secret' Gabriella pulled back and looked at him with a shocked-like look on her face. Attempting to hold in her laughter, she reached down and poked him again playfully. "If that's what helps you sleep at night," she replied with a teasing smile.
"And the next game we play, you don't have to let me win. I won't go easy on you either." There was a playfulness in her voice. "I don't just design clothes or go shopping."

"It does," Declin said very matter-of-factly. "And if you REALLY insit on me kicking your butt, then fine, I'll make it happen," Declin grinned, flexing out his arms and cracking his knuckles. "I don't just follow around beautiful mob-daughters and eat yogurt out of my fridge you know," he laughed, poking Gabriella's nose.
Still on the floor, Declin sprawled out and lied there on the floor, relaxed. He put his hands behind his head.
