The song ended all too soon. "Yea, sure, why not?" he said, liking that he was getting the hang of this whole dancing thing. He could almost feel her smiling and it was contagious. Roy started smiling too.
(sorry, short)

She was pretty happy that Roy decided to continue on. Caitlin was happy while she danced, or well she could just say that she was happy whenever she was around him. Roy was really the only person she would go out and do things with. She would go out with Marina too, if Marina wanted whenever she wasn't working.
Caitlin decided that she was going to let Roy take the lead of this song. "Alright, you have control of where we move this time. Just remember to focus only on the music and you'll do perfectly."

"Um...well..." Roy wasn't sure how comfortable he was about the whole "blind-man-leading" thing. But Caitlin obviously had some faith in him. "Alright..." he said hesitantly, and he stepped forward and around. He faced his feet, though he couldn't see them, he pretended he could, tryi9ng no to step on Caitlin again, or run her into anything.

"Aw come on Roy, don't think that you can't do it. If you can follow, then you can lead." Caitlin could understand him feeling a little nervous about leading, but she wasn't going to judge him in anyway.
Seeing that he started to tilt head downward, Caitlin moved the hand that was on his shoulder and put it under his chin, bringing his head up. "Don't look down," she said. "You're not supposed to. Just go with it." She followed his steps after she put her hand back on his shoulder.

Roy's hand clutched Caitlin's a little tighter when she lifted his head. "Okay, sorry..." he muttered. Dancing, Roy thought, it's fun, but he was no good at it.
Prime example, the second Roy faced upwards again, he slightly lost focus and tripped over his own feet. Unable to catch himself, he collapsed to the ground, bringing Caitlin with him. "Oh hell..." Roy sighed. "I warned you..." he laughed, suddenly finding all of this very funny.

"You don't have to apologize everytime," she said smiling.
Naturally she wasn't expecting to fall but nevertheless, she was brought down with Roy. After they hit the ground, she realized that they way that landed at first, made her blush a deep shade of red. Caitlin stared down at him for what seemed like forever, but it was only a quick moment and then she moved off of him to where she was laying beside him with her head rested against him and then started to laugh as he did. "Well, that was an adventure," she said still laughing. "You'll get better, I promise. And you know that I'm not going to give up teaching you how to dance, even if we have to fall a million more times."

"Yea, but before I injure either of us any more, its probably best that we stop for now..." he said. He would have stood up, but her head was resting on his shoulder and Roy found he was comfortable where he was, lying on the floor. So he smiled and put his free hand behind his head, relaxing on the floor.

"Alright, no more dancing for today, but tomorrow could be a good day to start back slow. Don't you think?" Caitlin looked up at him with a light smile. She rested her head on his shoulder again as they remained laying in the floor. "And I promise after you have a little bit of practice, you'll be the best dancer out there. You just have to relax a little more."
Caitlin let slience fall between them as she looked for pictures in the ceiling. "I appreciate you coming over today."

"Oh great, more dancing tomorrow?" he laughed. "Alright, if it'll make you happy. But if we- and by we I mostly mean I- break something, I reserve the right to say I-told-you-so."
They lay there quietly, facing the celing and enjoying the comfort of one another's company. Roy couln't really help but smile, a task so simple, but so uncommon to Roy that it felt strange on his face. He was used to not really finding any reason to smile. He had been bitter that was ever since the accident. But Caitlin had a way of bringing out the better in Roy, and he truely appreciated her for that.
"It was my pleasure," Roy replied quietly, not really ready to break the spell they were in.

Roy really was a sweetheart. "You're not going to break anything. After all, I don't really have anything that would be really breakable around. There's an old vase on the shelf on the wall, but you won't be able to break that one, I promise. And I promise by the time you leave tomorrow, you'll be able to slow dance."
Seeing him smile only made Caitlin's remain. She continued to lay there. Music was still playing, but she wasn't really focused on what it was.
Caitlin wasn't sure how much time had passed while they just laid there, but she knew that she had to go check on the soup, even though she didn't want to move. "I've got to go check on the soup," she said finally. She slowly started to get up. Once she was on her feet, she reached down and took Roy's hand. "Let me help you up."

"Oh yea," Roy said. He had completely forgotton about food. "The soup."
He gratefully took her hand and stood up, stumbling a little but regaining balance quickly. Stupid Ravenclaw stereotype about being clumsy...too bad it was true. He coninued to hold Caitlin's hand as he followed her to the kitchen. The aroma of the soup had taken over the normal smell of the kitchen. It smelled delicious. "Smells really good Caitlin," Roy said.
Roy liked smells; especially the sent of food. It was the strongest sense he had since going blind.

She noticed that he didn't let go of her hand as they walked into the kitchen. Caitlin led him to the stove, but made sure he was standing where he wouldn't be able to get burned.
Opening up one of the drawers beside the stove, she got out a wooden spoon and stirred the soup. "Thank you." Caitlin was a modest type of person and any kind of compliments always made her blush. "I think that it could go for a few more minutes. The potatoes are almost done. Do want a bowl of it whenever its finished or do you want to wait and take it back to your apartment?"

Hmm. Tough decision. Roy couldn't POSSIBLY decide between eating with Caitlin, or bringing it home to his empty apartment. "Only if you're going to eat as well," Roy said. It smelled too good to pass up. "Is there anything I could help you with till it's done?" he asked. Usually, there wasn't, but Roy always offered.

A laugh escaped Caitlin. "Of course I'll eat with you." She gave a small shake of her head and stirred the soup again. "Actually, you can help me. You remember where the napkins and spoons are, right? You could grab two of each and put them on the table." Caitlin always wanted Roy to feel some kind of normalcy, even if was something just as simple as getting napkins and silverware on the table. She never wanted him to feel different.

Roy smiled. "Yea, no problem," he said. He took a few steps to the left, feeling for the drawer with the silverware. He opened it, grabbed two spoons and napkins out of the drawer. A few more steps to the left, he was at the table. Roy placed the settings down bt the chairs. He had a feel for Caitlin's apartment, and he was glad he didn't need to transfigure his wand into a walking stick anymore around her place.

She grabbed two bowls from the cabinet and put a little soup in each before turning the burner off. Walking over to the table she sat them down. "You can go ahead and sit down. The soup's on the table." Caitlin looked back and picked up a couple clean glasses. "What can I get you to drink," she asked getting water for herself.
Caitlin as glad that Roy didn't feel like he was too much out of place, here at least. She had made it easy to get around her apartment, but then again she didn't really have a lot of things to fill it with.

He pulled out a chair and took a seat. "Whatever you're having," he replied. He waited patiently for Caitlin to take a seat with him. He grinned when he heard her chair scoot out and she sat down. "Alright, moment of truth," he teased lightly.

One of the best things about Roy was that he wasn't that hard to please. Pouring water into the other glass, Caitlin sat it in front of his bowl. "Your water is behind your bowl and to the left." She just found that it was second nature to tell him where she put things so he could easily find it.
After she took her seat, she gave a laugh. "I promise I didn't add any poison or anything in it," she said, her smile evident in her tone.

He could tell she was smiling. Everything around them felt lighter, more cheerful when Caitlin was smiling. "Thanks," he said, reaching out and grasping his glass of water. He took a sip before grabbing his spoon and scooping some of the soup out of the bowl. He smiled toward Caitlin before taking a bite.

She had always been amazed at the fact that once one sense was gone, the other four heightened. Sometimes, Caitlin liked to watch Roy when he was sure what he was doing. He was usually pretty graceful from what she noticed.
"You know," she said after a few minutes of slience, "I think that we should make soup together more often."
