Roy needed a drink. He always needed a drink, but lately he had been putting it off. Finally, the sorrow sounds from his guitar playing wasn't enough and Roy made his way to the fireplace to floo to the Three Broomsticks. His wand extended to a blind-man's pole and he worked his way to the bar and took a seat.
"Something strong please," Roy said to the bartender when he felt thier presence near. The people here knew him by now, it just took him a moment to lock in on their sences.

Caitlin was out for the day, looking around to see what was being rebuilt around Hogsmeade. If she needed to, she would travel over to London and see if she could get what she had to. It was still cold out, but today didn't seem like the normal 'bone-chilling' cold that it would get sometimes. Her scarf was wrapped around her neck and her coat was buttoned up as she walked through the rebuilding of Hogsmeade.
Before she started her day shopping, the Three Broomsticks was on her list. Quietly, she walked in for she was usually quiet anyway. She walked up to the bar and ordered a butterbeer before someone caught her attention out of the corner of her eye. A smile appeared on her face. "Hey Roy," she greeted as she waited patiently for her drink.

Roy smiled when he heard Caitlin, but only for a moment. There were two solid people Roy didn't mind hearing from, one being his sister and the other was Caitlin. "Hey," he said when he registered her voice. He faced the direction her voice was comming from. "What brings you to Hogsmeade?" Roy asked.

She moved down so that she was standing next to him. "Just a little shopping," she said. "I was just going to look around here and see what they had, then probably go back toward London to finish getting what I need there." Caitlin thanked the barmaid for her drink then turned back to Roy. "I thought that I would cook dinner and I realized I didn't really have anything. What about you?"

Roy took another gulp of his drink. "Nothing really, I was just in a drinking mood." he replied. "I got bored at home," he added, as if that was an excuse.

"Bored at home, hm," Caitlin said after she took a drink of butterbeer. It was good to see Roy out, even if he did just come down to the Three Broomsticks for a couple of drinks. "Well, if you want you could come with me while I go shopping. Its not going to take me that long since I actually have a list this time."

Roy considered going with Caitlin. He was sure it was better than his usual sulking at the bar or at home. He took a few more sips of his drink until it was gone and pushed the glass away.
"Sure, I'll go with you," Roy said with a hint of a smile. He reached in his pocket and felt the handful of coins, trying to pick out the couple of sickles needed to pay for his drink. He hated money. Knuts were easy, they were smaller, but Sickles and Galleons were close in size and Roy could never tell which was which.

"Great," Catilin said smiling. She was happy to be able to get Roy out and away from his place and the Three Broomsticks.
As Roy was reaching for coins, she instantly reached her hand out to stop him from looking for the coins he needed. "I'll help," she said gently as she picked out the coins needed for his drink, then used her own to pay for hers. Before she said anything else, Catilin finished off her butterbeer.
"Are you ready to go Mr. Evangeline?"

"Thanks," Roy said hallowly when Caitlin took the coins for him. It was embarassing to say the least, that he couldn't even distinguish money. But he knew she was only trying to help, so he didn't snap at her or say any snide remarks. Instead he sat back and waited for Caitlin.
"Ready when you are, Ms. Milton," Roy replied.

She didn't mind helping Roy whenever he needed it. After all, that was what she was there for, other than just to keep him company as he kept her company. Catilin knew that if anyone would ever say anything to tease Roy, she would be the first one to say something in defense.
"Alright, I'm ready." She sat her glass down on the bar and then turned to Roy. Catilin slipped her arm through his. It wasn't just to help him around, it was just because.

Roy knew how to get through Hogsmeade. Caitlin knew that. But he didn't exactly mind when she looped her arm through his. "After you," Roy said. The two walked out of the bar into the brisk cold of January winter. "So what do you need to get from the store?" Roy asked.

"Vegtables and that sort of thing," Caitlin replied. "I'm making vegtable soup. Of course I'll bring some over for you and Marina after its finished if you want any." She fixed her scarf with her free arm and then stopped for a moment. "You know what? We'll just go to London instead of making two different trips. I know somewhere I can get everything I need. Just hold on." She moved slightly closer to him and held on to his arm slightly tighter and apparented to the Leaky Caldron.
Leading him back outside, Caitlin still had her arm looped through his as they were walking down the street. "While we're in London, is there anything that you need or want?"

Roy thought for a moment, but there wasn't really anything he needed. Marina had brought some food by his place earlier that week, and he hadn't gotton around to eating it, so it was still there.
"Nope, I'm all set," Roy said. "But thanks for offering." London was busy and the loud sound of people bustling around to get their shopping done for the evening surrounded Roy. He stood closer to Caitlin, not wanting to run into anyone as they walked along.

"Well, if you happen to think of something, just let me know and we'll go get it." Caitlin didn't mind going out with Roy in public. She was not ashamed whatsoever and she had nothing to be ashamed about. He was a person too, and it used to get to her whenever people would just stare. She got to where she was about to just ignore anyone.
Caitlin also didn't mind that he moved closer to her. A light smile spread across her face, as she moved hair behind her ears. She led them through the London filled streets with ease and entered a store. "Do you like cabbage in your vegetable soup?"

"Yes," Roy said. "Sounds good." Roy could smell some of the foods in the store and realized how hungry he actually was. "What else is going in the soup?" he asked curiously as they walked through the store.

She picked up a small basket with her free hand. "I was thinking about peas, butter beans, green beans, potatoes, maybe tomato, and then of course tomato juice," Caitlin said as she led him over to the cabbage. Picking up a head of cabbage, she put it into the basket. "And I even thought about maybe putting a little bit of stew beef in there."
She was hungry as well and talking about it just made her even hungrier. "Of course, I can always add and take away whatever you like. It doesn't matter to me."

"Caitlin, its your soup," Roy said with a slight laugh. "I'm sure whatever you put in it will be good," He said. He heard her pick up a basket. "I can hold that for you," Roy said, offering his free hand.

She nearly blushed. "Well, I was wanting to make sure that you would eat whatever I put in it. I know some people are picky about what kinds of vegetables they eat, and I didn't know if you were like that." Caitlin also thought about putting a carrot or two in her soup, depending on how much she made.
After Roy held out his hand, she placed the basket handles in his hand. "You're a sweetheart," she said with a smile. Caitlin led them down a few aisles, picking up the items she put into her soup. "While we're here I just need to pick up some milk, and then I can go pay and we can leave."

"Alrighty," Roy said. He carried the basket and it got heavier as they walked through the aisles. They got the milk and then waited in line to pay.
"So how have you been," Roy asked.

Making sure that she picked up everything she needed from her list, Caitlin led them up to the register.
"I've been fine. Nothing exciting." Caitlin wasn't one to just go out to a club alone. It wasn't that she was shy, she just didn't really see the point in going alone and some guy trying to take her home and never seen him again.
"What about you?" The lady started to tally up Caitlin's items. She reached over in front of Roy and picked up two chocolate bars and added them to the other items on the counter.
