It was about this time that Nathalia rolled her eyes and decided to get back to the dance floor. The guy was nice, but hadn't held her attention near enough to constitute fighting this woman for his attention.
She winked at him from behind Shawna's back, and disappeared into the crowd.
There was an older man there, just coming inside with a girl with him, and he was... well, breathtakingly good looking. He had a commanding presence that a few people seemed to notice, and Nathalia was intrigued, but she stayed where she was for now.

Augustus was not in a good mood. He had been sent out to investigate a tip from Voldemort, or from someone in his ranks, he wasn't entirely sure. But it was at a club, and if he'd been demoted to doing things like this... well, he was not happy.
But on a whim, to keep Fiona at his heels because he liked someone in the office that he knew would be loyal to the end, he had told her that he wanted her along... on Department of Mystery business, of course. He fed her some story about what he wanted her to watch for, and here they were, walking into a room with oversexed, immature people and music loud enough to make a person go deaf.

Fiona was shaking like a lamb being led to slaughter. She hadn't even been out of the Department of Mysteries in more than two weeks. She had literally been eating, drinking, and sleeping at work. She couldn't remember what the inside of her apartment looked like anymore.
So now, standing at Rookwood's elbow (which in itself was more than enough reason for nervousness), the atmosphere around her was too bright, too loud, too... stimulating. It confused her. Not only had she never been to a club, but she hadn't been among other people, other than those who worked in the department, in a frighteningly long time.
But when Augustus Rookwood asked her to do anything, Fiona's response was always the same. "Yes, sir!"
And so, here she was. "Now... what are we looking for?" she asked in a breathy voice, fluttering her eyelashes up at him uncertainly.

Shawna laughed devilishly. She was definitely intrigued now. He appeared cool and rakish, but he was almost painfully awkward. And then he pulled out a comment like that... Oh, yes... she was intrigued. "Oh, my... not so shy anymore, are you, pumpkin?" she cooed. "If the lace of my bra is bothering you, I could always take it off...." Arystar laughed coolly and said "Doesn't take much does it?" he looked at Nathalia's retreat, and farewell wink and felt the twinge of something like regret, only not nearly as deep. Shawna was wicked, she seemed to ooze the word. He wondered why he didn't feel so shy anymore, but shrugged it off "I guess shyness isn't the mood for the night, and I'm far from pumpkin..."he looked at Shawna's eyes, a soft blue "Oh, Pillar of my heart." he added with a smirk. He could of kicked himself! why hadn't he decided to get smooth with Nathalia? He pushed the thought away, He simply thought It wasn't meant to be and he felt a new determination to take the night by the hand and follow it till morning! he wasn't going to go back to his room to wonder how the world was anymore, although even for himself he thought that last thought was too bold for the usual him.

Shawna made a low, purring sound in the back of her throat. "Well, then," she said in a sweet voice. "Now that you're showing me your moves off the dance floor, how about you show me what you can do out there?"
Her smile was brilliant white in color and seemed to give off a sort of sparkle in the light. Tugging on his hand, she led him out to the dance floor, where she began to move seductively. She rather resembled a stripper only without the actual stripping.

Augustus smiled. "You tell me, Fiona," he said, nearly laughing at the easy explaination he just came up with. "Consider this a training exercise... there is something unspeakable in every situation... I want you to find what you can here... it should be a hot bed of emotions, at the very least." Unspeakables worked with ideas sometimes, those unattainable things like love and lust and guilt.
He lead her to the bar and sat her down, staying with her for the moment. "Would you like something to drink?"

Arystar's brain flashed in warning, it was no good! thinking quickly he stood up to follow her and took hold of one of her hands, then he bumped the heel of her shoe which slid on the club floor and he turned her gracefully back toward him. His heart skipped a beat, and he took a breath when he realized he had actually done something so outrageously smooth! after his mental high five to himself he smirked again and said "Or we could find out how well we move before we go dance." He wasn't exactly sure what he just said, but it sounded cool and gave her a smile "Dancing isn't my thing... I'll gladly watch if you like." he offered giving her a smile that bordered on seductive, not that he knew it of course.

Fiona looked around nervously. Her first thought was that everything that went on in this place was Unspeakable. When it came to love and romance and sex, Fiona was not exactly a prude... she was just pathetically, woefully inexperienced. That didn't mean she couldn't spot these things when confronted with them.
"No... I don't really drink, Mr. Rookwood," Fiona said. "Maybe... a club soda."

For a night that had started out so unremarkable, it was suddenly taking a much better turn now. Arystar was different, a cross between awkward innocence and bold flirtaciousness. It was an unusual and intoxicating combination, and she wasn't sure what to make of it. And yet, she was more than willing to try.
"I adore being watched," she said, winking at him as she tossed her head aroud, allowing her hair to sway around her face.

Arystar smirked, mentally he was cheering, he wouldn't have to try dancing! He realized that he left his drink at the bar, but decided against getting it back. He had to watch Shawna dance after all. He took in her appearance and thought she was like some sort of poisonous flower, appearing only to have a pretty appearance, but with something else lurking just under the surface. It made watching her dance a bit more exciting. He wondered if he should worry about the dangerous feeling he got from her, what did he really expect out this night? It all seemed too much fuss to really think about at the moment, especially when He was watching a pretty woman dance, seemingly for him, but he realized for anyone willing to look. He wondered if she was pitiable for that? He shook his head trying to get annoying thoughts out of his head and to pay closer attention to her hips or anything else his eyes happened to land on.

Shawna knew all too well the effect she had on men, and she exploited it mercilessly. She almost enjoyed it more than the actual act of having sex. While the act was fleeting and the excitement faded, this boosted her ego endlessly.
She was currently gyrating in an extremely indecent manner, and appearing to enjoy herself a little too much. It was a shocking display, really, even for the club. And if any of her prissy society friends saw her going on the way she was, she would have been an outcast. But that never stopped Shawna... very little ever did.
The song she was dancing to had ended, and a slower song came on next. "Come on, Pumpkin," she said, using the nickname she had given him once again. "I'm getting lonely over here. Won't you keep me company?"

Arystar smiled and took a step toward her, he was taller than her. He took hold of both her hands and got her to stop moving, she seem less attractive when spinning her body everywhere. He realized he wasn't a very base male, he was very sure he loved women, but she was aggressive and overtly sexual. In other words he couldn't take anything she said seriously...which given his nature was very disconcerting. he might as well enjoy the night he thought and said "You tell me want you want me to do, and I'll think about doing it." he leaned his head close to her ear to ask her softly, as the music was too loud just to talk normally.

Shawna smiled at him; he was standing quite close to her and she rather liked it. She pressed closer to him, so that her body was touching his. Putting one hand on his waist and another behind his head, she leaned so close to him that their breath began to mingle.
"Just follow the way I move," she said simply, as her body began to move in a slow, seductive manner. She gave off the impression of a snake, curling and twisting around him.

Arystar didn't register shock until started to coil and uncoil around him, but his face didn't give the impression of shock, but more of interest. Which he was, very much interested, if he had to say truthfully. He moved his body at first awkwardly, not in time to the way Shawna was moving, but after a moment he managed to move with her. It wasn't the same kind of exaggerated dancing of his partner, but just a bit provocative and masculine enough. The alcohol he had drunk made his body and head feel a bit light, but moving made feeling of lightness swing in his blood. He decided he liked the feeling, as much as he liked the feeling of Shawna's body press against his own. He smiled at her and ran his fingers through her hair, running his short nails against her skin and he swooped in to say in her ear, "You're a very good teacher, you've sparked my hidden talents." however, his mind supplied, I'm not taking in another drop of anything! the last thing he wanted is to end up falling asleep or worse...

Shawna had an uncanny ability to tap into the baser instincts of the male species. She knew just what movements to make, just how far to push and how close to stand to get the reactions that she wanted. Arystar was being easily seduced by the power of alcohol and the lure of her poisonous movements. She was rather like a black widow spider--beautiful and deadly. The only difference was that the kind of poison she spread was a slow killing poison. Once a man had her in his blood, he would never be quite the same again. She would always be there, wrapped around a piece of his heart.
She sighed as his fingers brushed against her skin. "I can teach you other things as well, pumpkin," she whispered back, her breath warm against his ear.

Arystar really enjoyed the lure of Shawna's body, but being called pumpkin wasn't exciting at all. His mind supplied images of himself gourd-like and orange or with vines and that soured his expression. He was starting to really dislike the moniker. he sighed and kept dancing a little less enthusiastically, she was so sure of herself, and Arystar was not. Had it been gentler or subtle he would of fallen head over heels for it, but she just was making him feel bad and not so very male. He pulled away from her and smiled his usual bright smile then swooped in to her ear. "I have to go to the bathroom! I'll be right back!" and he quickly turned around and went toward the rear of the building, it was usually where they had bathrooms anyway. The music was a loud throb and he opened the bathroom door and as it shut, the music became muted and the lightness in his head became a bit too light. He went to the sinks and opened the tap and splashed water on his face. He had to clear his head a little bit he thought.

Shawna was displeased. She had thought him well and truly ensnared in her spell, and most certainly had not expected him to run away so quickly. But she did not think the matter to be settled, not in the least.
In his absence, however, Shawna was left alone on the dance floor and that simply would not do. This was not to say that she couldn't have merely beckoned a few willing lads with a single come-hither glance. But it was all just too easy.
Her eyes latched onto a man, standing not far away, who was tall and commanding, handsome and intimidating. He was the type of man who was really above all of this, and had only to snap his fingers to make women fall at his feet. He was magnetic in his appeal, and even Shawna, for all of her worldly experience, was not immune. She slowly moved closer to him, ignoring the pitifully insignificant whelp who was standing at his elbow.

Arystar dapped a towel to his face, which it swung out of his hand and rung itself out then into a bin of used towels. He had actually gone to use the restroom, but after washing his face a bit he felt better. He had decided that he didn't want to spend the night with Shawna...he didn't know where she had been. That thought had seriously disgusted him, she was just too provocative. He debated for a moment if it was necessary to tell her he wasn't interested or if he could just leave. Against the idea of just leaving without telling her seemed cowardly, which he wasn't, so he left the bathroom. He walked toward where he had left her, and was half way relived that she was already pouncing on new prey, and annoyed that she really was just out to find herself a warm spot for the night. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Just thought I'd put in an idea, I'm pretty sure Shawna has made her pounce on Rookwood. That brings into this potential fray Nathalia, Shawna and Fiona. Since I'm on the buzzin' thinking I'm still cool, I can go over there thinking Either I can get Shawna's attention back Or defend Fiona, either way I think it should earn me a punch to the face and a good hex for measure, which would either lead to a pity save from one of the stronger women OR a en mass kicking out of Arystar so someone can follow him out to either kick him while he's down or console him, for he is fail. That is my idea*s* So tell me whacha think!*

*Reply to idea, lol: I can totally see him trying to get Shawna back and getting ridiculed for it, both by her and Rookwood. I'm not sure where Nathalia would fit in... maybe she'd get bored and move on. Fiona will stand by Rookwood no matter what crap he dumps on her, but she could still talk to Arystar a little.*

Augustus considered ordering Fiona something alcoholic anyway... he was curious, to be honest. He had a feeling she would be quite a talkative drunk, and he wanted to know what she would say. But as he lead her to the bar and had her sit, he ordered a firewhiskey for himself and a club soda for her.
He was not oblivious to the two blondes, among others, whose eye he seemed to have caught, but he wasn't going to flock to them right away. The older of the two that interested him, however, was steadily making her way towards him, and it made it smile.
