She couldn't give up, not like that, not so soon. It was only the fever that was making her think so negatively. Pushing herself up again she wandered through the crowd now asking people, it didn't matter if she knew them, or if they even knew her brother she asked for Ethan."Have you seen Ethan Drake?" she turned without hearing an answer, " Ethan?" hope was fragile but at the same time hard to destroy completely the alternative was life without her brother, perhaps if she willed it hard enough he would just appear.

Ama looked at Collin for a moment before nodding, "Okay," she said quietly. She looked around wildly for any sign of Jamie, or even her cousins when suddenly she heard a voice calling that had to be Sheena's. "Neena!" Ama called, running toward her cousin's voice. When she got to Sheena, Amandine latched onto her cousin with the strong intent of never letting go. "Oh my Godric! Sheena you're okay!" Mathieu and Cara were moving into the entrance hall with Cyrus when the children began to spill into the hall from the courtyard. There was a brief moment of chaos, and then Mathieu spotted a couple of familiar faces. "Amandine!" he called. "Sheena!" He waved them over, even as he continued to scour the crowd for Jamie, as well as Liam. "Daddy!" With Sheena in tow, Amandine ran over to her father. "Oh my goodness thank godric you're okay! Were you at the attack! Did you see Jamie or..." She just then noticed her mother and unconscious brother. She took an involuntary step back at the sight of a levitating Cyrus, her eyes wide. |

In the midst of everything, Lyra kept watching Ethan's little sister. She looked like she was going mad, asking everyone and anyone if they had seen Ethan. Usually Lyra wouldn't have given a damn, but it was Ethan's sister. Ethan who had been more than kind to her when she needed it. She felt obligated to make Lilac feel better. And finding Ethan would also make her feel better.
Lyra pushed through the crowd to reach Lilac. "Lyla, wait! Get out of my way," she added to a group of crying fifth years. "Lyla!" She finally reached the girl who looked like she was about to cry. "I want to find Ethan with you."

Lilac didn't notice Lyra until she mentioned Ethan and then her eyes were suddenly in tune. She nodded and her heart calmed a little. She hardly knew Lyra, but she knew her brother was cultivating a relationship with the girl so her desire to find Ethan was candid and there was a small weight lifted from Lyla's shoulders, " Thank you." she muttered looking around her. She gave Lyra a sheepish look as if to say screaming for her brother was the only thing she could think of in her panicked state.

Julia ended up caught in a crowd of people. The teachers seemed to know what was going on, which meant Dumbledore did. Now all Ju had to worry about was finding her friends again. "Nolan!" She called out, still angry with her friend for going back to the villiage. "Jeremy, Alenna!" she called out, hoping that even if they didn't hear her, someone else had seen her friends and tell Julia where they were.

Sheena was dragged by her cousin toward her aunt, uncle, and seemingly unconscious cousin. "Uncle Matt..." she said. "Auntie Cara, what's going on?" she asked, now growing anxious that she couldn't find Liam.

Mathieu hugged his daughter first, then his niece. He was relieved to see that the girls were fine, but it troubled him that neither Jamie, nor Liam were anywhere in sight. "I'm so glad you're safe. We need to get Cyrus up to the hospital wing immediately. Where is Jamie? Is he here? You haven't seen Roland at all, have you?"

"I saw Roland..." Ama said. "In the villiage with his partner after a Death Eater threatened us..." Ama said quickly, feeling like she would soon be on the verge of tears. "And Jamie..." she paused, should she tell her parents that Jamie stayed back? Forced her to run back to school on her own?

"He made me go back to the castle and he went back to the villiage, he...he wanted to help...I think..." she stuttered. "He said he'd meet me back at the castle, but I haven't seen him and neither has anyone else..." She was in hysterics now, the terror from earlier finally hitting her. |

Mathieu was gripped by fear. Jamie was still out there? It was bad enough that Roland was still out there, and he was a trained Auror. Jamie was still a student. He gathered Amandine up in his arms. "It's going to be OK..." he lied hopefully. "I'm sure Roland will find Jamie and bring him back safe and sound. Come on, we have to take Cyrus to the Hospital wing...."
He could only worry about so much at one time without imploding from the weight of it all. Right now, Cyrus needed them. His heart was pounding as he led the procession up the stairs to the Hospital Wing.

Lyra ignored the girl's pathetic look, it was to be expected in this sort of situation and had she been worried about Aubrielle she probably would have been doing the same sort of thing. "Where have you looked for him?" " I was taking a nap in his room." she had a small cold and her brother, being the sweetheart only Lyla knew he was, was taking care of her. She supposed he didn't like it when she was sick and became more autocratic than usual ordering her to bed and ordering her to eat, but she loved the attention. "When I woke up he was gone. I looked for him in the Common room, great hall, kitchens, library...and just about then I heard about the attack. I went out to the courtyard to look for him and...that's all." she hadn't covered all areas of Hogwarts but the most likely and she thought that if there was trouble He would have come looking for her. That suddenly gave her pause, without letting Lyra know what she was thinking she turned and started running. She didn't mean to just leave the way she was but an idea of where Ethan might have been made her feet simply go. She was running back to the Slytherin common room to get to Ethan's room, maybe he had gone back to check on her. |

Lyra was making a mental checklist of where Lilac had already looked, although he could have gone to any of those places after she had left. She was about to suggest they try the hospital wing when Lilac just took off. "Lyla?!" Lyra pushed against the crowd in an attempt to follow her. From the entrance hall there were only so many options she would be trying, having gone down a flight of stairs.
The dungeon corridor was still crowded, but nothing like the higher levels of the school. There were no windows down here for children to gawk through, looking to see if they could see the attack as it happened. Lyra could clearly make out Lilac as she headed down toward the Slytherin Commons. What is she doing? Lyra wondered to herself as she raced after her.

Lilac rushed into her brother's room, "Ethan!?" she called for him, so full of hope that he would be around looking for her the same that she was looking for him. She missed him and needed him terribly this fear was not good for her sickness.

Lyra followed the girl up to Ethan's room, understanding now why she was going to the Slytherin dungeon. But as there was no one in the dormitory at the moment it was a fruitless mission. "Maybe he's in one of the other dorms with Ryan and Rystain." She was standing in the doorway of the sixth year dormitory, her back to the stairs.

Lilac sighed she walked into her brother's room and lightly fingered his things trying to think of where he could be. She drew a sweater from his closet meaning to have done so earlier before she went walking around a drafty castle when she was sick, she put it on now and it completely dwarfed her, but she was comforted wearing it. She met Lyra again in the hall and nodded, "Let's try the other rooms..."

Alenna had sent the letter off to St. Mungos and was on the way back to the Hospital Wing when she got caught up in a crowd of people. Te teachers were ushering the students inside and everyone was frantically looking for their friends and family. Alenna looked over the crowd, but didn't see her friends until she heard Julia calling their names. "Julia!" Alenna called out in responce. She couldn't move through the group of kids though. |

She heard Alenna call out and Julia jumped up to see her Ravenclaw friend a few feet away. Julia pushed through a group of larger student and made it to Alenna, giving her a huge hug. "Alenna!" Julia said, happy she found at least one of her friends. "Thank goodness, have you seen the boys?" Julia knew that Alenna, Jeremy, and herself had made it back from the villiage unharmed, but she'd feel better once the four of them were back together again.

Jeremy had just finished his task--alerting the staff to the situation in Hogsmeade. He'd banged on the staff room door until they let him in, and he'd breathlessly told everyone in the room about the attack. Then he'd had to take a puff of his asthma inhaler, because he was so close to panicking. He still couldn't believe Nolan had insisted on going back to Hogsmeade. He couldn't stop worrying about his friend.
Finally, once he'd calmed down, Jeremy headed back downstairs to look for Alenna and Julia. He found them quickly, and he ran over to Alenna and put his arms around her. "OK, the staff are on their way," he said. "Any word from Nolan yet?"
