While it sounded interesting to have traveled so often, Lyra knew that she would not have handled it very well. "Was that hard, moving a lot? I would think it'd be terribly frustrating." And while Nicolas was attractive, he hadn't made an impression on her during the year he was here (she hadn't even noticed him!) and most any handsome boy made some sort of impression on her. She wondered if he had many friends, but knew that might sound like a rude assumption to ask.

"Not frustrating at all." he told her still relaxed, " I've upon occasion had to leave behind those I'd have rather stayed with, but in the mix of things I consider myself very fortunate to have had the traveling experience I've had."
He heard a mirthful sound escape his friend Julian and shook his head. Julian knew better about Nicolas, oh he could charm the pauper out of his clothing when he wanted, hell they both could, and so naturally Julian knew when Nicolas was being more flattering than honest.
The truth was Nicolas had before whilst traveling, longed for the stability a home might have offered him, although now he was more eager to do most anything and everything.

Lyra smiled. She would love to be able to travel, but not until after she graduated. She was about to play the part of the fiancee by telling Julian that he had better have plans to take her around the world after their marriage, when she heard a strange sound. It was distant, but loud and it came from the direction of Hogsmeade. Of course they were too far away to see any of what was going on, but everyone in the courtyard began talking all at once.
"What was that?" She looked to each of the guys she was with, a worried quizzical look on her face. A small tower of black smoke appeared in the distance, billowing from where the attack had started, unbeknown to Lyra or her companions.

"What in the world?" the ground shook along with the sounds of explosions. All around the courtyard, younger students were panicking and running amock. Collin looked up to see a line of smoke rising from the distance. "Holy..." he swore. "Is that..." it couldnt be the villiage, could it?

"Samantha!" he whispered under his breath looking in the direction of the village. It was written on his face how deeply he cared for her whether or not he showed it in public under normal circumstances the look on his face was very clear, he loved her. It was an enviable look, the utter fear and concern that etched it's way across his features. Then without second thought his legs were carrying him away from the party and towards Hogsmeade.

Julian's mind went the same way Nicolas' did but with more caution. He liked Samantha, truly he did, but he had more sense than to just run into a potential dangerous situation with nothing more than his own abilities in magic.
He held Lyra a little closer to him and his hold tightened, he was glad she was here.
"Go and tell Dumbledore." he told her before taking after Nicolas. Nick might have been cold and logical in all things except when it came to Sam, then he was like any other hot blooded male.

Lyra's eyes widened as Nicolas ran full speed toward the village and the chaos that it held. She had not been expecting such rash behavior and it had startled her. Thankfully Julian was more reasonable and he gave her notice before he too ran off toward danger. "Julian..." she reached after him but he was already gone, running down the sloping lawn toward the entry gates. She had a panicked look on her face when she turned back to Collin. "What's going on?"

Evelyn was running down the hallway when students began appearing, seemingly from nowhere. Many of them were hurt, a few severely. They were talking about an attack on Hogsmeade by the Death Eaters. Zonko's had been blown up, which accounted for the thundering boom she had heard from the library which shook the shelves.
Evelyn was looking for Rayne when she ran out to the courtyard, where instead she saw Angelo standing not far off from a couple of Slytherin students. She ran over to the seventh year. "Angelo, Hogsmeade's been attacked by Death Eaters! Where's Rayne? Did she go to the village today?"

Collin overheard the two Gryffindors talking. "Did you say Hogsmeade was attacked?" He asked, his face paleing. Colette was at the villiage with her friends today.

Evelyn turned as she was addressed, the older Slytherin looking as worried as she felt. "Yes. There's a load of injured students making it up to the Hospital Wing. But not all of them have come back yet." She was worried about Rayne, that was her first and biggest concern. But also she hadn't seen Rabastan at the castle today. She wondered if Collin would know where he was. But the look on the boy's face showed her he was already concerned about someone. Evelyn chewed on her lower lip as she looked between the Slytherins and Angelo.

It was more a gut feeling that had him racing toward the danger. He needed to make sure Sam was safe, he needed to make sure that he was overreacting and that she would still be there tomorrow to tell him that he was overreacting.
Why would Sam have gone into Hogsmeade alone today anyway?
Please let her be alright.

The second Ama got through the passage way, she began to look for her brother, wondering if Jamie came back to the castle the long way. Ama saw Collin out in the courtyard and ran to him. "Collin!" she called. "Collin, have you seen Jamie, is he here?" she was panicked and took a couple deep breaths. "Have you seen anyone from the trip come up here?"

Collin was still panicking about his sister when Amandine came out of no where. "Dinny," he said, never realizing how glad he could be to see Jamie's attachment. "No, I'm sorry kid, haven't seen him," Collin looked behind him at the burning villiage. "Did you see Colette while you were there?" he didn't expect an answer, the two were both focused on finding their respective siblings.

She wasn't injured, so when she appeared on the other end of the passageway she didn't follow anyone toward the hospital wing. She went straight to the Slytherin Common Room to look for Collin. But he wasn't there. "Have you seen Collin?" she asked everyone she passed. Everyone was looking for their own loved ones and didn't seem to be able to help her. Finally someone said "try the courtyard," and sure enough, he was there. Her looked concerned.
"Collin!" She rushed past everyone else there and flung herself at her older brother. "Merlin's beard, Collin. Did you hear what's happening?"

"Colette!" Collin said, grasping onto his sister and hugging her tight. "Oh Colette, I was so scared..." he wasn't even embarrased for saying it. For the brief amount of time that she wasn't around, Collin was sure his sister was injured...or worse. "You're not hurt are you?" he asked.
"Yes, I heard. Death Eaters are attacking Hogsmeade..." He stood back shaking his head. To their right, Amandine was still pacinig around frantically, not really sure what to do with herself. "You didn't see Jamie by any chance, did you?" he asked quietly. Now that Collin knew his sister was alright, he wanted to make sure his friends were too.

Lyra listened, hoping the Gryffindor would give her some sort of information. Nothing useful. The same with the Ravenclaw. Then Collin's little sister appeared, who had actually been in Hogsmeade. This would turn out useful. "What about Sam? Did you see her? Or Rystain?"

"I was too busy running. I didn't stop to look for anyone, a Death Eater was chasing after me. I followed some first and second years through this passage that led right from Hogsmeade to the castle. It was right..." she stopped, trying to remember where she had ended up. But it was so chaotic and she was so upset that she hadn't paid any attention to where the passageway was. "I'm sorry, I didn't see them."

Collin's eyebrows raised. "You were chased by a Death Eater," he asked. "Did he attack you? Did he hurt you?" Collin asked, looking over his sister, she didn't seem to be hurt. But Collin took being a big brother seriously...

"I'm fine, Collin. I'm fine. Stop it." She swatted him away, not seriously but not playfully either. The situation was much to dark for playfulness. "He captured me but I got away. I'm fine." She didn't mention that the Death Eater was taken down more by her muggle-style defenses than by her use of magic. And she really was fine. She didn't have so much as a scratch on her. Other than being a little shaken up, she was probably coming out of it without any signs that there was even an attack. Colette knew she was very lucky to have gotten out alive, let alone unharmed.

Colette swatted Collin away and he stepped back, giving his sister the benifit of the doubt. "Okay..." collin said, still a little angry that a death eater had gotten a hold of his sister. He rocked back and forth on his heals nervously, not really knowing what to do...
