"Just promise me you'll be careful headed into the office, okay?" Tyler said, motioning her to have a seat on the couch while he disappeared into the kitchen for a moment. He had made eggs for her, hoping she would stay for a couple of minutes, but that was before she was running late. It made him smile that she was still willing to stay.
He came back a minute later with two plates balanced on one arm, and a glass of orange juice in the second hand. There were eggs and toast for her along with the juice. He sat down on the couch next to her.
"You said that Tonks and Massey were patroling Hogsmeade, right? Maybe you can check with them before you head in." Silently, he added, maybe you should just not go in today.

Cassidy nodded. "I will," she promised.
When he returned with the eggs, she smiled gratefully and accepted the plate from him. "Thank you," she said. "Actually, yeah... I was thinking about talking to them... seeing if they could sense something. It's a Hogsmeade weekend, too, I think... I saw some kids running around. I don't think we could possibly be too careful, you know?"

Tyler shook his head. "You don't have to justify yourself to me," he said softly, looking away from her and taking a bite of eggs. He was pretty sure he had said this to her before. "If you feel like something is off... I trust you, and the other aurors should too."
He considered te fact that it was a Hogsmeade weekend, and looked back at her. "It would be a weekend they would aim for..." he trailed off, knowing she would catch his meaning. "He would want to cause as much damage as possible, and kids are the best target."

"... Are you joining us today?" "If the offer still stands," Julia replied. She brushed at her skirt and leaned nonchalantly against the doorway of the castle. She looked up at the staircase, but saw no sign of Jeremy, and she hadn't seen him in the common room either. She smiled at Nolan. "I'm sure we could wait a little bit longer for Jeremy," julia said. "He's probably picking up Alenna, wouldn't you think?"

Andi frowned and looked down at Sirius. At first she had just been nervous at the prospect of seeing Ted. But as they got closer into town, she started to feel the same strange energy in the air. It was like the air before a violent thunderstorm. Andi was suddenly feeling very tense. "I'm not sure," she said. "Stay close to me, OK?" Sirius frowned. The look on her face worried him. He was young and didn't quite have the instincts that she had, but he could tell by looking at her that she was sensing something was wrong. "Yeah, I'll stay close," he said. "What's going on?"

"I don't know," Andi said. "It's just a feeling I'm getting. The air... it's kind of heavy..." She shook her head. "It sounds weird, I know. But I feel like something's going to happen."
She had to be crazy, she told herself. There was absolutely no proof; no strange people walking the streets. Just children laughing and running around, excited for their day in Hogsmeade.
But as she thought about it, her stomach dropped. What better day to stage some sort of catastophic event than a Hogsmeade day for the students? Christmas was just around the corner; kids would be shopping for presents and Yule Ball dresses. If something bad were to happen, it would be on a day like today.
"Tell your friends to stay close to me, too," Andi said. "Don't wander. I need to find... him."
Ted was on patrol in Hogsmeade. She had dreaded the possibility of seeing him before, but now... Now she needed to see him. To see if he was feeling the same thing she was.

Sirius widened his eyes. "Him? You mean, Ted?" he asked. "Why? Andi, after what happened... what he did... Do you really want to see him? Are you sure it's a good idea?"

Andi sighed. "It doesn't matter right now... This is important. I have a really bad feeling, and he's one of the aurors assigned to keep watch in Hogsmeade. He'll be here, somewhere. I need to tell him about this feeling and make sure he has backup in case something happens." She sighed. "Yes, it's going to be hard to see him again... but this could be a matter of life and death. Just stay close to me. And tell your friends."
She looked around, trying to figure out where Ted and Veronica might be. The need to find them was urgent.

Sirius could tell by the look on her face and the sound of her voice that this was important. He didn't see or feel whatever it was she seemed to feel, but he did trust her instincts. He slowed down, allowing James, Robin, Peter, and Remus to catch up with him.
"Hey, guys?" he said slowly. "Andi's got a gut feeling about something and she wants us to stay close to her for a while, OK?"

James followed Sirius and his cousin Andi, along with Remus and Peter. James and Peter had been attempting to play peacekeepers between Sirius and Remus as much as possible. Today, they were all going to Hogsmeade together and hopefully things would be calm, at least between the four of them.
He looked to Sirius as he slowed down. A curious look came across James' face. What did Andi have a feeling about? He wasn't going to question Andi, so he nodded. "Alright Sirius," he said walking a little closer to them. James motioned for the others to walk up as well. "Do you have any idea what she could mean?"

Sirius shook his head. "I don't know," he said. "I don't see whatever it is she's talking about, but she seems to think something bad might happen. She wants to look for Ted... he's on patrol in Hogsmeade. And if she wants to find him, there must be something wrong..."

That sealed it for Ted. All four of them felt something off, enough to make them wary. It was as good as written in stone to him. "We need to try and find whatever it is and stop it first," Ted said, and he still had the feeling that he would want a lot more backup. He was probably being paranoid. Even if something bad happened, the four of them, plus Andromeda, should be able to handle it. They were trained for things to happen. "And we should find her." By her, he meant Andromeda, and maybe Veronica would be the only one to understand. Veronica did understand who he meant. What she wasn't sure about was whether he wanted to find her simply for additional backup, or more personal reasons. Still, she didn't question it. "I think maybe we should split up to see if we can catch this thing--whatever it is--before it happens. Roland, Riley, do you two want to head over towards the Hog's Head and see if there's anything going on around that side of town? Ted, I think we should head towards Honeydukes." Andi would be with the children, and for most kids, Honeydukes was the mandatory first stop in Hogsmeade.

Augustus smiled and let out a short but cheerful laugh as Bella replied to his comment. "For Salazar's sake," he said, ignoring the dirty and nervous looks for speaking at a time like this. "You're all depressing me. They die today, not us. Let's at least pretend to be happy." Someone else's arrival cut off whatever else he might have said. Bellatrix mumbled to herself, "It would be a hell of a lot easier to be happy if sheweren't in charge." But at least Bellatrix would not have to take orders from Claudia for long. She and Lucius would be on the other side of the village, far away from Claudia's nagging, hoarse voice.

Riley nodded. "Yeah, I think that's the best idea." She glanced at Ted, who had his brows furrowed and an odd look on his face. "You disagree," she observed, but didn't give him the chance to explain or anything, showing him she obviously did not care.
"You know how to find us if you find anything or need help. We will do the same. Be careful, all right?" She looked to Roland.

Roland looked at Ted, also noticing that he didn't seem thrilled with the idea. But he had also figured out who the "her" was that he had been referring to, and decided he just really didn't want to be involved in that complicated mess.
"Look, if something does happen, we won't be far. And my parents are right over at the school, we could summon them pretty quickly if we need to. We're in better shape than we could be."
As he mentioned his parents, however, he immediately began to worry about his brother and sister. It took all of his strength not to run off and look for them. "We'll let you know if we find anything," he said in a numb voice, as he turned with Riley in the direction of the Hog's Head.

Ted glared after the two of them as they left, irritated. His hands fisted in his pockets, and he told himself to cool it. This was ridiculous, and stupid, and it was irritating the hell out of him.
"One of these days, they're going to have to take me seriously," Ted said, his voice quiet, but hard and almost angry. He shook his head. "Come on, let's go."

Veronica gave him a sympathetic look. "Don't let it get to you," she said. "If it makes you feel better, I don't think Roland likes very many people... and that includes his partner. The important thing is, they're staying close by, and they're good fighters, if something happens."
She started walking in the direction of Honeydukes, glancing over at him worriedly. She had enough to worry about as it was, but if they were going to find Andromeda, she really hoped that the two of them could avoid having another argument that might distract them from what was going on.

Erica was on duty as well. Ever since the attack trips to Hogsmeade were monitored by the staff in case something should happen. Erica was bright when she was in school but wasn't the best in defense, still she could hold her own and was there mainly to watch the students. She entered the tea shop and spotted a fellow staff member. Smiling she joined Nikita for tea and conversation.

Becky was on her way to work that morning. She had the lunch shift at the Hot Panini, and she and Chloe were supposed to be there early to open up the restaurant and do the early prep work. Unfortunately for her, she was running late. She was still preoccupied with thoughts of her encounter the other night with Derek, and as a result, she had overslept.
She ran out the door of her little house in the Hogsmeade Village section of town, putting on her coat and pinning her hair back as she ran. She was going to be late, and Chloe would never forgive her, she was sure.
She never even noticed the ominous-looking crowd gathering at the end of the street.

Suri was sitting in the window of La Repas, stirring what used to be hot tea with a spoon. She hadn't a particular subject on her mind, she had decided to get out for the day, maybe hoping to catch up with Judah sometime later in the day. She had declined all offers for fresh tea, knowing it would be wasted like the cup she had bought a little over an hour ago. Somehow, Suri felt like she should be right where she was, unmoving and observing. This wasn't nessecarily her fiorte, but gut instinct had her on the chair as if she was an old cat.
