Jackie held back a groan of frustration. This was ridiculous.
Unconsciously, her fingers gripped tighter where they held him. "Dean, I really don't feel good," she said, figuring it would just be better that they went their seperate ways for the night. Everytime he said anything, she thought of wanting to kiss him and all sorts of things she had never associated Dean with before. For the first time in her life, it broke her heart to be with him.

Dean frowned. He didn't want to leave. Was it something he did or was she just not really feeling good? Why did he have to be scared to tell her? Things might be simpler if he would just tell her. "Are you going to be alright? Do you want me to carry you to the Hosptial Wing, or to your room?" He didn't want her to just go off on her own if she was sick. Dean would attempt to take care of her if she would let him.

"No, I'll be fine," she said. She knew the entire school was still watching the first task, so she could be in her room and just cry and no one would ever know.
But she also knew that Dean would be worried about her. She wished she could understand how she and Dean could get to know each other as well as they did, tell each other everything, get along great, and still just be friends. She wished she could understand how she had seen him as just a friend for so long.
She was just emotional and the news of the girl was new. In a day, she'd be fine, over it, and lagh at why she felt this way in the first place.

His frown was still upon his face. He didn't get it. "At least let me walk you to your common room," he said looking down at her. It was the least that he could do. After all, Jackie was still his best friend after all. "I can't just let you go on your own since you're not feeling well."
Dean was worried about her, just like he always was. He wouldn't really stop be worried until she was fine, or she told him what was wrong.

That was when it snapped, when she hated that she cried in front of everyone over everything.
The tears hit the second his sentence was finished, and all she could hope to do was play it off as not feeling well. She started to push away from him anyway. "It's okay, I'm fine."

Dean loosened his hold on her as she pulled away. Jackie never did that, and he wasn't sure what to do. Right then he knew that it wasn't that she was not feeling well. It was something else, but what? He knew better than to ask her if she was alright again. "Jackie," he said quietly as she pushed herself away completely. "What did I do," he asked.

"Nothing," she said, wiping her eyes. "You didn't do anything."
She got to her feet and turned towards him. "I just need to lay down and... I don't know." She sighed, pulling her lips between her teeth and biting softly. "Maybe I'll catch up with you at dinner, okay?"

Once Jackie got to her feet, Dean slowly rose to his. His frown still apparent on his face. He wanted to do something, but didn't know what. "A-alright," Dean finally said. "I'll see you at dinner then." He took steps after her when she started towards the door. If she was going to be going to her common room, then Dean might as well go to his. He had a lot of things to think over.

Jackie nodded. "Okay. See you later," she said.
And she left. She had a lot to think about as well, and Dean made it hard to think. She already knew she wouldn't show up for dinner when she left him.
(End?)

Dean thought that he wouldn't show up to dinner. There was to much on his mind. And for once, he was not hungry. He had too much to do before he ate, and thinking was the big thing. What was he doing and why was Jackie acting like she was? He didn't get it and he had to think about it.
He gave a wave to her as the went their separate ways. Now, there was a colder draft, it felt like, in the castle. He only hoped that things would get back to normal.
