Smiling at his big sister who was always there for him, he looked over at Justin. "I know, i'm sorry Justin." Transferring his eyes back over to Gwen he began to frown and leaned in very close so only Gwen could hear what he had to say next. "I'm a little on edge sissy, Kat is muggle born." Pulling back he took a seat on the stairs and motioned for Gwen to come sit between himself and Justin, he knew she had missed Justin as much as if not more than he did. "Oh, I do remember that she likes quidditch."

Gwen grinned. "Perfect, Tim." She more or less ignored his comment about her being a muggleborn. There was no need to mention this to Justin. She squeezed his hand again, though, to let him know that she didn't mind.
"You're going to take her to the quidditch pitch one day, just the two of you... and I can get you a rigged snitch... but you have to make sure she catches it. It will transfigure into flowers, and then you can ask her, in the air. It's cute... and as long as you're you, Tim, she'll say yes."

Tim's jaw dropped as Gwen laid out the plan, it was perfect, infallible. Standing up he rushed over to his sister and hugged her tight. "Gwenny your the best! Thank you thank you thank you!" Letting go he rushed over to his brother and gave him a big hug too. "Justin you tend to be a jerk sometimes but I still love ya! Oh Merlin I can't wait to tell Thane he'll die when I do!" Rushing excitedly up the stairs he headed for the library where he knew he could likely find Thane.

Gwen almost laughed, but hugged her brother tightly. "You're welcome, Tim. You'll tell me how it goes, right?"
She watched as he ran off, and the turned back to Justin with a mischevious grin.
"You were saying something about having brough me something, I believe."

Justin chuckled at his brother's enthusiasm, returned the hug and ruffled his hair. He thought it was a ridiculous plan but hey whatever floated his boat. Usually all you had to do was smile, be charming and ask. How hard was that? Why go to all that trouble for a girl? He shook his head in amusement as Timothy ran off to find Thane. Of course he was sure Thane would think the plan was brilliant, they were both the romantic types and there were times he had a hard time believing they shared the same parents.
Of course, as soon as Timothy was gone Gwen was already reminding him about his surprise. He shook his head.. "oh no I was just telling you I had a surprise for you.. I didn't say you were going to get it today. You have to wait till I visit for dinner, I don't have it with me here and and I'm not going to tell you what it is either." He knew this would torture his sister and that made it so worth telling her she was getting something before she actually found out what.

Gwen's smile faded slowly. "Justin," she complained. "That's not fair. Now I'm going to be wondering what it is all week!"
She groaned. Justin knew exactly what to do to make her suffer, and she hated it. Though, secretly, she loved it. If she had to choose... well, she loved every single one of her brothers, and her favorited varied minute to minute. Right now, it was Justin just because she had missed him so much.
"Will you give me a hint?" She asked, batting her eyelashes at him. "I did say yes to you about the dance after all. Terrible sacrifice that was," she teased.

"I'll give you one hint... but only because you let me take you to your dance." He smiled taunting her by not telling her the hint right away. "And it's perfectly fair, it gives you something to look forward to. Besides you know I like to make ya suffer just a little bit, or it's not as much fun." He laughed at her expression and his eyes held mischief.

Gwen rolled her eyes. "It's terribly unfair."
That seemed to make her sit up a little straighter though. "Hold on, we'll come back to that to that hint. Why did you ask me to the dance, Justin? I don't believe that you missed Hogwarts that much."
She wasn't complaining, but it did strike her as odd.

"What a brother can't miss his sister and want to take her to a dance? I have been gone for almost six months after all. And then I can keep all those mudblood guys off you at the same time." He smiled with an innocent charm.

Gwen grinned. "You're going to have a hard time of it, you know," she said. "Keeping the boys at bay, I mean." She didn't mind joking about it. Justin knew she was all talk, anyway.
"Was it six months? Wow." She wasn't sure if it seemed like longer or less time. "All right. Back to this hint."

"Okay lets see.... it's something you can wear to the dance. And that's the only clue you are getting." He smiled knowing that the hints were really only more torturing because she'd be going everything she could think of that could be worn to a dance for a week. He chuckled. "Happy?"

"No," she told him miserably. "I'm not happy at all. It could be anything, Justin! A necklace. Earrings. A dress? Shoes? Well no... you wouldn't bring me shoes." The wheels in her head were turning, and she knew he really was going to make her wait until dinner this weekend.
She sighed. "At any rate, I'm glad you asked, because I don't think anyone else was going to."

Justin was happy just watching his sister look frustrated over not knowing what the gift was and a clue that only kept the possibilities coming. He was enjoying it and knew that she'd keep his surprise as long as he had a present waiting if she didn't spoil it. Of course he didn't think it was necessary but it was still a fun torture for his sister.
"Well, as much as I am surprised by that, I'm glad too. That means I can go and keep an eye on you. Don't you have any guys you like yet though? Maybe some pureblood slytherin that we can get you married off to soon?" He grinned.

She hit his shoulder. "Stop trying to marry me off so quickly," she told him, rolling her eyes. "And the 7th year Slytherin boys are not the type to get involved with," she added. "All three of them are..." Well, what could she say? They weren't exactly loyal? Well no one she married that her father would approve of would be faithful, likely. She shook her head... she had to make them want to be hers.
"Anyway, I think Dad's talking to the Wolff family about it. You meant them a couple of times... their son isn't too much older than me."
She was happy Justin was back, and it made her very talkative.

"Wolff family.. wolff... oh is that the guy who is a lazy money bum and sleeps around? I remember him I think. Surely dad can find someone better than him. If you were smart you'd find a good pureblood wizard on your own. Either that or you're going to have whoever dad picks out for you." He wanted his sister happy but at the same time he also wanted her to have a pureblood husband at the very very least. Slytherin would be best of course but he'd at least settle for a pureblood.

Gwen shrugged. "I know. And I've been looking."
She gave Justin a look at his assessment of Adrien Wolff, though what could she say? He was dead on right.
"I hope I have a little bit of time, anyway... there is really no one in Hogwarts worthy."
She sat up straighter and her smile was back. "But anyway, enough about my future husband. Tell me what happened on your trip. Do you have any exciting stories?"
The Scotts children, well, the youngest four at least, were unaware of the family's dealings with the Dark Lord. If anyone were to be the one to bring her in on it, though, it would be Justin.

"Gwenny you know I can't tell you where I went on my business trips.. except most of it was spent on an island and the business transaction I was supposed to be handling got screwed up and the trip ended early so I headed home. Not too exciting this time unfortunatly."
There were many times that he wished his sister wasn't so good hearted, she would have been a brilliant Death Eater. But he didn' think she had it in her to kill and answer to the Dark Lord. Such a shame, she had a lot of courage.

She sighed at tried not to pout at him. He never told her about his trips, and it was always so disappointing. She was curious, and would love to hear just one tale of adventure of something exciting.
"Tropical island or British isles type island?" She asked, hoping he could at least tell her that so she would know how jealous to be. "And I'm sorry it didn't go like you wanted. Next time."

"The British type, and no it wasn't fun.. it was business.. long borring and over. And I'm staying at Tanya's for a couple days until I can see mom & dad and see if my room still exists. I have a feeling I'll be home for a while this time." There was no way the Dark Lord was going to give him another long term mission any time soon. If he was lucky he'd be given missions closer to home in order to prove himself again. But he'd much rather be doing assasinations than treasure hunting assignments anyways.
"Hey where is Xavier? I know I sent him an owl too to meet us.." he sighed, he'd been looking forward to seeing his favorite brother.

"Of course your room still exists," she said as if he was ridiculous for thinking it didn't. "And Mum would be heartbroken if she knew you were staying at Aunt Tanya's instead of being home." If Gwen wasn't in school, she would have been, too.
"I don't know where Xav is. Maybe he's still in class?"
