Alice at least had the grace to blush at the reminder of his sweet kisses before Kingsley had come in on them. Not that they were doing anything bad but Kingsley had winked at them as they lay curled together just enjoying talking and occasionally kissing, and she'd had the grace to blush then too. But for some reason being with Frank was just so easy and comfortable that it was easy to loose track of time when she was with him. She hadn't been back to his room since that morning when she'd woken up still curled up next to him, though she'd left before he'd woken up to get ready for the first task.
"I think it sounds fun, but I've heard that tower gets a lot of visitors." She chuckled softly, it was well known among the students to be one of the most used snogging spots in the castle.

"Well, if there are visitors already up there, we can find somewhere else, and it won't be a closet either," said Frank with a grin. "Like I said, there's the secret room in the school that I accidently found once. You can turn it into anything you want. It was when I was avoiding you. I walked past the door a few times, trying to think of a place to hide, but study and the next thing I know there's a room behind the door that I could go study in. It's pretty amazing really. So, the secret room is our back up plan if the tower already has vistors."
The waitress brought their food out and refilled their glasses. Frank thanked her and turned back to Alice. "But maybe we'll get lucky and we'll be the only ones there."

"A secret room huh? I might like to see that too." She smiled as their food arrived and took a bite of her sandwich. "You can turn it into anything?" She had never heard of it and never found it before, so she was intregued with the idea of some secret room in the school that could turn into things.

He started to eat while Alice was talking. Quickly swallowing his food without getting choked, he responded, "Well, we have plenty of time to check it out." Frank smiled. "And yes. It can turn into anything that you think of." Alice looked adorable especially when she seemed interested in something. "Maybe we can do that next week. That would be something to look forward to, since it's just going to get colder outside."

"So what did it turn into when you used it? How often have you been there? Where is it? What have you used it for besides hiding from me?" She couldn't help herself from asking questions, she was just too curious about something new. They spilled from her like a curious child.

Frank listened to each question as they just flowed out at one time. "It turned into a room that had a couch, a chair, and a table. Just somewhere comfortable where I could study and think. I've only been there once, it's on the seventh floor. And I have not used it for anything else. I used it just that one time," he said answering all of her question. "Although, I plan to use it more than once from now on, and of course this time I won't be alone." Frank gave her a playful grin.

Alice grinned, and then teased him, "oh yeah? who you planning on taking there so often? and what type of room were you planning on needing?" She was trying not to giggle but her eyes twinkled playfully.

"I was planning on taking this girl that we both know. She's really sweet and has the perfect laugh. She's got soft brown hair and she's also quite smart. The most beautiful girl I've ever met basically. She can make me smile all the time and she knows how to get to me. I think you may know her," said Frank smiling. "I was also thinking about a room that would have a nice couch, a fireplace. You know, something that has a calm, warm atmosphere."

"She must be a very lucky girl if you think all of that about her. And I have to admit I'm jealous because it sounds wonderful. Does Sam know you feel that way about her?" She was teasing of course but she couldn't help giving him a hard time.

Frank just shook his head with a smile on his face, but didn't comment about Sam. He did feel bad about just ditching her tutoring. "Yes, you are a very lucky girl, and I'm going to let you know just how lucky every day." He winked at her. "Just like today. I'm going and waiting for you to pick out a dress. Not too many guys would really do that. And then afterwords, we can make sure that Marlene and Kingsley are together in the common room, then disappear to the Astronomy Tower, after we eat dinner of course. But if it gets too cold while we're at the Astronomy Tower, we can just walk over to the secret room and have a fire place to get warm."

"You don't have to go with me to pick out a dress if you don't want to," she spoke softly. He hadn't said anything about Sam but she frowned at that fact. She really didn't like that snotty girl who expected everything to be handed to her on a platter and have everyone serve her needs. And from the look that passed over Frank's face even for a briefest of moments before he smiled and shook his head at her said as plain as day that he felt something. She didn't doubt Frank that he said he only loved her. But still...

"Now Alice," said Frank. "I'm not just doing to be doing it. I'm doing it because I want to. I don't have a problem with it, really." He frowned as her voice had softened and he knew the look on her face. "Don't start on Sam again. There's nothing there. Nothing has ever been there. Alice, how many times to I have to tell you that I only want you? You're the only girl I will ever be happy with, and you're the only one I want. I helped her with charms simply because she asked. Plus, she could have been one of my friends. I promise Alice, there's nothing that will ever take me from you. Nothing."

"I know you don't want her, but do you have to be so upset about not tutoring her?" she wasn't really feeling appeased at the moment. She knew Frank loved her and that wasn't in question... what bothered her was that Frank apparently felt bad about not tutoring the snobish girl. And he could have been friends with her? Was he blind? Were all the men in the school blind to that girl? She was a haughty french girl with men falling all over her to do her bidding. Her whole persona was so phoney even Maxi saw it. And she not only hoped to win the tournament... she expected it. How could her Frank be friends with a girl like that?

Frank didn't see all the girl all the other guys or girls did. He just saw a regular person, that was it, but he guessed that Alice didn't. "I'm not upset that I'm not tutoring her," he said. "She hasn't been hateful or snobbish or anything like that to me, so why should I strongly dislike her? It's not like I'm like most of the other guys and falling head over heels for her. I'm smarter than that, you know that Alice." He ran a hand over his face. He did not want to argue with her today. Frank knew that arguing was something you were not supposed to do on a date.
"Let's not argue alright? That's all in the past. We don't need to worry about that, except for the good things. We have a whole future of just us, so why don't we worry about that instead, alright?"

Alice didn't want to argue either, but she couldn't understand why he didn't see what she did. So instead of argue she pulled her legs under her chair and began to eat the rest of her food, trying to put Sam out of her head. The wounds were only recently healed and still easily bruised and it was hard not to get upset about it when she was the one who had to face the girl in the champion tent when he was gone. She didn't want to argue but the mood had changed and she didn't know how to change it back.

Frank didn't know what exactly he was supposed to do. He stopped talking to Sam, and he stopped tutoring her. What else was he supposed to do? He didn't understand. It became quiet and Frank felt uneasy. He had to make it right somehow. He didn't have to heart to just talk about Sam like he heard some girls talk about her. Frank couldn't do that. He sighed and looked down to his sandwich moving his legs underneath his chair as well.
They were eatting in slience and Frank couldn't take it anymore. This wasn't how he hoped it would be. After he had about two bites left of his sandwich, Frank placed it down on the plate and looked up at Alice. 'I'm sorry' was written in his eyes. "Let me make it up to you, alright? I'll find someway too, just don't look that way. Please?" Frank hated when she looked the way she did at the moment. He would much rather see her smile, laugh, something, other than the current look on her face.

Alice nodded slowly pushing her half empty plate to the side. "I don't want to argue with you, and I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. I think I ruined our date, didn't I?" She looked sad and sorry. "I love you Frank... I'm sorry." She put her arms on the table in front of her and laid down her head afraid she'd ruined everything.

Frank pushed his plate away from him and he looked directly at her. "No, no, you didn't ruin it, honestly. It's alright." He wanted to go over to her pick her up in a hug. Frank pulled out a few more galleons than what was going to be needed, but the waitress would need a decent tip, so that was what he leaving in addition. He moved out of his chair, and picked up Alice's arms gently off the table and looked down at her. "I love you too Alice, and don't be sorry. No one's hurt. Come on, let's go. I have an idea to make you stop frowning. Come on Ms. Prewett." Frank took her hand with a grin.

Alice looked up at him and let him take her by the hand, she had one of those odd lost looks on her face. Not sure how to feel but she knew she would follow him anywhere, and with her hand in his she stood up and let him lead her out of the restaurant.

The look on Alice's face made him smile again. He led her out of the restaurant and into Hogsmeade. The cold air hit him in his face, but he continued on. Frank led them between two shops and smiled at her. He snuck in a kiss. He gently put his hand on the back of her neck as he kissed her and then Frank slowly pulled away. "That help you any?"
