Healing

[Zander Smith]

Zander walked into Chloe's house with Ashura behind him. "Chloe! Is anyone home? I have someone I want you all to meet."

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura showed her nervousness by playing with her necklace, the only thing she owned from her past. She looked around as thought of the houses she had stayed in. She thought that compared the the last house this place wasn't that bad.

[Skye]

Skye stepped out of the kitchen. "Hello, Zander," she said. "Chloe is in with Karl now. He was hurt last night in a fight with Fenrir. Fenrir made a new pup last night, and Karl separated her from him. She is in with Karl and Chloe now." She looked past him to Ashura. "Who is this? Another pup?"

[Zander Smith]

Zander shook his head. "Skye, this is Ashura. She's not a new pup. She's been on her own for years, living in the forest. Ashura, this is Skye. I mentioned her to you before."

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura smiled at her. "Nice to meet you." She said quietly. She continued to play nervously with her necklace.

[Chloe Owen]

"I'll be right back," said Chloe to Karl. She walked into the living room, to find Zander and someone else talking to Skye. "I put Kris into bed, because she fell to sleep," Chloe said. "I'm Chloe," she said the new person. "Karl is back here in a room, if you want to come back."

[Kris Lupin]

"I'm Ashura." Ashura said smiling. She felt fidgity being inside again, she was glad to be meeting new people but she wanted to be outside.

[Zander Smith]

Zander smiled. "Hey, Chloe. This is Ashura. She's been a werewolf for a few years now, and she lives in the woods. But she's interested in joining our pack."

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe smiled. "Good," she said. "Don't be nervous around us or anything. We're your new friends and family. If you want anything, just let me know, and I'll see what I can do," said Chloe.

[Zander Smith]

"OK, Zander said. "Well, Ashura, now that you're all set here, I guess Chloe and Skye can take care of you... introduce you around, tell you more about the pack. And you can leave whenever you want to, no problem. I gotta get to work now. I'll see you around, OK?" He turned and left.

[Skye]

"We will be glad to help you," Skye said, smiling at the new girl. "I am happy you have decided to join us. Where in the forest do you live? Perhaps when we are done here, you could show me where you live, so we will know how to find you."

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura smiled nervously. "Just a small den in the forest, been there as long as I can remember." She said quietly. She tightened the vine around her hair to make it stay better.

[Skye]

"That sounds nice," Skye said. "I love the forest. I am much more comfortable in the fresh air and sky and among the trees. The human world is always so noisy and hurried and squashed together. Would you like anything?"

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura smiled and shook her head in response to thw question. "That's how I feel about it. I only have this from my past." She held up the necklace. "I don't remember getting it, I don't even remember anything before I was attacked. I don't even remember how I got attacked."

[Skye]

Skye smiled. "You are like me. I do not remember much of my life before I was turned. I remember that I went to the big school, and I had a family, but I do not remember who they are or what my name was. I could not even speak for some time after the attack. When I finally did, it was when I saw the sky. So Pearl named me Skye. I think it suits me."

[Kris Lupin]

"It took me a long time to remember my first name. But that's all I remember, I don't even know if I had parents or any family." Ashura said quietly hiding the fact that it hurt not knowing.

[Chloe Owen]

"It's okay Ashura. My parents disowned me, and so did my own family, except for David. He's my cousin, and he's a werewolf too, so he's my only family I have left, except for the pack," said Chloe. "Let me go and check on Karl," said Chloe. She excused herself and walked down the hall. "Hey Karl. How's your shoulder doing? Is it numb from the ice yet," asked Chloe.

[Karl]

Karl grinned at her. "It's better. Doesn't hurt so much now. Who's here? I heard Zander's voice, and someone else, too."

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe walked over and lifted the ice pack, which was now melted, off his shoulder and sat it down on the nightstand. "Yeah, Zander was here, but he had to leave for work, and there's another werewolf, but she's been one for awhile. Her name's Ashura. Syke's out there with her," said Chloe.

[Karl]

"Ah, OK," Karl said. "I'm glad she's joining us, then." He leaned back and closed his eyes. "I'm tired, Chloe... I think maybe I should sleep." As he closed his eyes, he still saw Chloe's face, and it made him smile.
