Healing

[Skye]

"Water is fine for me," said Skye simply.

[Chloe Owen]

"Okay," said Chloe. She disappeared back into the kitchen and fixed the drinks. Afterwards, she brought out Skye's and Kris' plates out, along with their drinks. "You can eat in here, the kitchen, with Karl, or wherever. It doesn't matter," she said disappearing back into the kitchen to get Karl's plate, and drink. Chloe walked down the hall with the items on a tray, so that way it would be easier. "Hey Karl. Do you want your food now or later?"

[Kris Lupin]

Kris smiled then began eating her food. She was thinking about thanking Karl for saving her after eating. She wondered what her life would be like now.

[Skye]

Skye took her food and began to eat. "How do you feel, Kris? It is very common to feel tired and sick after a transformation, especially after your first one."

[Kris Lupin]

After taking a sip of her apple juice Kris replied, "I am tired."

[Skye]

"When you have finished eating, why not take a nap for a while?" Skye suggested. "Chloe has an extra bed, along with the big sofa. I am told they are quite comfortable, for those who like such things. I prefer to sleep on the floor... I am not used to soft beds. But you are welcome to use them."

[Kris Lupin]

"Well, I was thinking about thanking Karl for saving me although I don't remember it." Kris said after finishing off her food.

[Skye]

Skye ate a little more. "That is a good idea. You should do that," she said. "Karl is not always so good at being human. He can be gruff and his manners are not the best. But he has a good heart, and he is loyal. With him as a friend, you have a friend for life."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris finished off her juice then stood up. "I'll go do that now. You can have that drawing if you want." She said then walked to the room that Karl is in. She stood in the door way feeling somewhat nervous.

[Karl]

Karl smiled at Chloe. "I can eat now," he said. "I'm pretty hungry." He shifted slightly and moved the ice pack over his shoulder again. "How is the new pup? Kris? She still seemed pretty confused. I hope she's OK."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris cleared her throat quietly then waited for someone to notice her. She felt bad for him; getting hurt just to save her, she was glad he had though.

[Karl]

Karl looked up and saw the girl standing in the doorway. "Hey," he said gruffly, smiling at her. "You OK?"

[Kris Lupin]

Kris nodded. "Just a bit tired." She smiled slightly. "I...um...just wanted to thank you for saving me, I don't remember it, Skye told me." She bit her lower lip nervously.

[Karl]

Karl grinned. "Don't worry about it. I did what I had to do. I couldn't let Fenrir take you off to be with the snakeman. 'Sides, I kinda liked the fight. I never fought Greyback before, and I liked it. I'm just glad Chloe bailed me out, or I'd a been done for."

[Kris Lupin]

"But still, if you hadn't showed up..." Kris said trailing off.

[Karl]

"Well, that was just luck," Karl said. "I was nearby, I heard his call, and yours, and I knew he made a new pup. Since I joined with Zander's pack, I keep my head better when I turn. I knew ya needed my help, so I went. I'm just glad I could help you."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris smiled then something came to her. She took a deep breath then asked, "Will it always hurt? I can remember the pain during transforming but after that, there's nothing."

[Karl]

"Yeah, it usually does hurt. Once you embrace your wolf, as Skye would say, it gets a little better, but it's pretty much always gonna hurt a little." Karl shrugged. "Unless you reach a point where you like the pain. Greyback told me he liked it."

[Kris Lupin]

"I could tell." Kris said quietly.

Chloe smiled as the two were talking. "Karl, I need you to sit up just a little bit," she said. Chloe walked over to the bed, and sat down the tray beside his bed. "I'll help you."
