Healing

[Chloe Owen]

"Well, don't worry about that Kris. We're here for you now. If you ever have any kind of problems at all, I don't care if someone is just picking on you or something, just come talk to me," said Chloe. "I'm either here, or at the Hot Panini. Sometimes I'm even up at the school. I have a friend that I visit there sometimes."

[Kris Lupin]

"Who?" Kris asked. "Sorry, if I'm being nosey, I just like to know stuff. Do you have any books? Or something I can draw with?"

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe smiled. "It's okay," she said. "Remus. Remus Lupin. That's who I visit sometimes at the school," said Chloe. "And yes, I do have some books and there's also some kind of paper lying around somewhere," she added.

[Kris Lupin]

"Remus, huh? Would you think me crazy if I told you he is my brother? He sure did." Kris had muttered the last part. "I need something to do, I like reading but I love drawing."

[Chloe Owen]

"You're his sister," questioned Chloe. "No, I don't think you crazy. Just about anything is possible," she said. "Although, he did? That's interesting. I'm planning on possibly going to visit him tomorrow. I'll see if he says anything about you," she said. "But, feel free to do either. Like I said I have both."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris nodded then left the room to find some paper and something to draw with. After finding some she came back into the kitchen then sat on a chair. After a few moments of thinking she began to draw a doe.

[Skye]

"You can tell me anything, Karl," Skye said softly. "You're like a brother to me, you know that. What is it?"

[Karl]

Karl frowned and struggled to sit up. Making sure the ice pack was placed on his sore shoulder, he looked up at her. "I know you never knew who bit you... I couldn't bear to tell you, cause you were so upset and scared... but it was me. Fenrir told me I had to turn someone... and I saw you, and he made me do it. I wanted to tell you now, in case you see him again and he tells you. I thought you should hear from me." He looked at her nervously.

[Skye]

Skye looked at him, feeling a bit shocked. Finally, she nodded. "It is OK. It was not your fault. I don't blame you, Karl. I wish you had told me sooner, but I am glad you are telling me now." She hugged him. "I was very proud of you, for what you did last night. How you helped the new pup... it was very brave."

[Karl]

"Aw, it was nothing that no one else wouldn'ta done," Karl said. "Anyway, I'm glad you're not mad. I hated it when you were so scared you wouldn't talk. I always felt so guilty."

[Skye]

"Not everyone can attack Fenrir like that. It was very brave, whether you want to admit it or not," Skye said. "Do not feel guilty about what happened, Karl. It is in the past, and cannot be undone. I do not regret it. I only wish I could remember my family, so I could let them know I am all right. But if I am meant to find them, I will. I do not worry about it." She leaned down and kissed his forehead. "I will see if Chloe has some food or water for you. For now, you must rest." She left him there and walked back into the kitchen where Chloe and Kris were. "Kris, have you decided what to do yet?" she asked.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris looked up from her drawing and smiled. "I'm going back to school...to be with Sirius." She looked back at her drawing and saw that she ended up drawing a deer family. She lost her smile as she saw that one of the fawns looked like Remus in a way.

[Skye]

"I think that is the right choice for you," Skye said. "As for Remus, give him some time. He will probably accept you, but he needs time. You should tell him what has happened to you. And you should tell Sirius, too." She sat down on a chair, then frowned. Chairs were just not comfortable... She got up and sat cross-legged on the floor.

[Kris Lupin]

"I will, some time." Kris sighed. "But I don't know when." She pushed the drawing away and watched it fly off the table and flutter to the floor and land infront of Skye.

[Skye]

Skye looked at the paper, then back up at Kris. "This is a lovely drawing," she said. "Why do you not want it anymore?"

[Kris Lupin]

"It just reminds me too much of the way my family was." Kris said quietly. "I had wanted to just draw a doe. I don't really know how it ended up as a deer family."

[Skye]

"At least you have good memories of your family that you can look back on. I have no memories of my family. And besides, now that you are one of us, we will be your family." Skye smiled at her. "We will be there for you."

[Kris Lupin]

Kris smiled then leaned back as her mind wondered off to different things. She wondered if anyone noticed she was gone.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe continued to make breakfast, and got hit with grease from frying a couple of pieces of bacon. Finally, she finished, after getting a burn mark on her hand and fixed four plates with one pancake on each and several pieces of bacon. "Hey Skye, Kris, what do you two want to drink? I have apple juice, orange juice, and water."

"I'll have apple juice, please." Kris said smiling. "I love apple juice."
