"Yes, and I can't think of anyone who deserves it more," Wesley said with a grin. He shook his head. "Well, I don't know about you, but I definitely don't want to talk about Tristan anymore. So... how 'bout those Chudley Cannons?" He laughed.

"Eh," said Evangeline. "They haven't won a game since 1892! I sort of feel bad for them really. They were fair at first, but then they started to become horrible." She realized that she was sort of blabbing, and flushed slightly. "Sorry," she said with a sheepish smile.

Wesley laughed. "That's quite all right," he said. "I admit, I've never been much of a sports fan, and even I know that the Cannons are the worst team in the league. You look lovely with your cheeks flushed like that," he added, feeling suddenly bold. He reached across the table and lightly brushed her cheek with the back of his hand. Then he flushed as well and pulled his hand away quickly. "Sorry, I just... I couldn't help myself."

Evangeline laughed too, but grew quiet, and flushed even more. She could feel the heat rise in her cheeks as he placed his hand on her cheek, and felt like a teenager again with all the butterflies. "No, it's quite alright. I didn't mind," said Evangeline smiling.

Wesley smiled, but he felt a queasy feeling in his stomach as well. It was just like being back at school. "So tell me, what are some of the things you like to do? I thought maybe, er... if we went out again... maybe we could do something that you like."

Evangeline thought about it. "To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. I guess I just like the fact that I can get out of my house and just walk around and just look around, then if I decide to do something, I'll go do it. Dancing is nice, but it's alright if you don't dance. The club is a dodgy place, and I could have almost died last time I was there," she said with a slight frown. "But, actually, doing just about anything will make me happy. I'm not too picky."

Wesley laughed. "I'm pretty sure you don't want to see me dancing," he said. "Maybe I could manage a slow dance or two, but beyond that... well, let's just say it wouldn't be pretty. After about 30 seconds, you'd be pretending you didn't know me."

Evangeline couldn't help but laugh. "I can't dance to anything but something slow. Cass and I went out there one night for the fun of it and danced to almost every song while we were there. There were only about four people, including us there, and the other two people, well, let's just say that they weren't paying attention to anything going on. We would have made complete fools of ourselves if anyone else was there."

Wesley grinned. "Olivia used to always complain that we never went dancing. So one night, for our anniversary, I took her dancing. I stepped on her feet so many times I made scuffs on her shoes! And I tried a rather ill-advised move where I swung my arm around and knocked into a waiter carrying a tray full of wine glasses. We both ended up covered in red wine!" He laughed. "Needless to say, Olivia never complained about not going dancing again."

Evangeline smiled and laughed. "Oh my," said Evangeline. "That reminds me of one guy that Cass and I had seen at the club. He was dancing around like something was after him, and he ended up running into a few people, then it was like the Domino Effect! I felt so bad for those people dancing, because they all ended up falling. After that, we left, so I couldn't tell you what happened next."

Wesley chuckled. "I'm rather surprised I didn't do that, actually," he said. "I'm sure that was quite a sight to see, though. I wish I had been there, so I wouldn't be the clumsiest person in the room."

Evangeline laughed again. "Dancing just isn't your thing," she said. "But, here lately you haven't been really clumsy, or that I have noticed."

"Well, that's only because I'm not dancing," Wesley replied. "Although, I've never been good at fighting before--even with magic--and yet somehow, I was able to hit Tristan."

"Maybe you were just more focused than before," said Evangeline. "You can do a lot more things than you think you can if you put your mind to it."

"You're probably right about that," Wesley said. "I know when I found out Natalie had been kidnapped, I was prepared to do whatever it took to rescue her."

"I think the muggles call that an adrenaline rush, or something like that," said Evangeline. "It's basically you can do just about anything if a certain thing that happens to cause something in your brain to go off."

"That's an interesting theory," Wesley said. "I think I read about it once in one of their scientific magazines. Maybe I'll do a study on that in my spare time." He sighed. "I do miss the research in the Department of Mysteries, sometimes... I wish that locket hadn't combusted the way it did. I really was looking forward to figuring out what it did..."

"It is sort of interesting," said Evangeline. She smiled, his desire to research something hasn't changed a bit since school. "Locket," she asked. "What do you mean?"

Wesley sighed. "When Olivia died, she left behind a note in her vault at Gringott's, giving instructions on how to find something she had stolen from Craven. We went looking for it, and found it was a locket. She left another note saying that only I could discover its true power. I discovered that it was the locket of Salazar Slytherin, but before I could determine what powers it held, the thing disintegrated on me. It must have had some kind of protective charm on it."

"That's interesting," replied Evangeline. "I wonder what Craven wanted something like that for? But then again, it could have been anything with that man. He creeped me out horridly. Once he came into the registry just to check up on things, so he said, and he just stared. I tried to stay away from him as much as possible."
