Evangeline got in from work, pretty tired. Today had seemed like the longest day of her life. It seemed like people had endless questions. She sighed as she entered her house and closed the door behind her. Evangeline laid across the couch and closed her eyes, relieved that it was Friday.... wait... it was Friday! Evangeline jumped up and smiled to herself. She walked quickly to her bedroom and headed straight for her tub. Of course for tonight, she wanted to make sure that she was clean and smelled nice.
After her shower, Evangeline made sure that she made the scent of her shampoo last longer in her hair. She combed her hair in the mirror, then headed for her closest. She couldn't decide what to wear. Evangeline let out a sigh of frustration. She should have let Cassidy help pick out what she was going to wear tonight. She finally settled on a little black dress. It wasn't extremely short, it was fingertip length. Before putting on the dress, she worked on her hair. She made sure that it wasn't frizzy or anything after it she dried it. Once she was happy with that, she slid on her dress, smoothing it out. She walked back into the bathroom and put on a slight touch of makeup, so it wouldn't be noticeable. Evangeline realized that she hadn't ever really taken this much time to get ready for a date. She began to feel butterflies in her stomach as the time got closer for Wesley to arrive.

Wesley spent over an hour getting ready for his date with Evangeline. He was incredibly nervous, and he had to have Athena check his appearance 4 times before he was satisfied. Then he apparated over to Evangeline's house. he took a deep breath and smoothed out his hair before he finally knocked on her door.

Evangeline finished putting on her shoes when she heard the doorbell ring. She took a deep breath and headed to the door. Before opening the door she smoothed out the bottom of her dress. Once she opened the door she smiled. "Hey Wes," she said giving him a quick glance over, "You look nice."

Wesley looked at her and for a moment, he couldn't breathe. She looked so beautiful in the black dress... He coughed, then managed a smile. "Thank you. You look... incredible," he said. He handed her the single pink rose he had brought. "This is for you."

Evangeline's smile grew wider. "Thank you," she said, taking the pink rose. She reached over to the small bookcase beside the door and put the pink rose in the vase on top of it. "So, um, ready to go," she asked.

"Um, let's just walk," said Evangeline. "I don't like to apparate too much, and it's not that far from here either." She gave him a smile and closed the door behind her as she walked out. "To be honest, when I got home, I was laying on the couch and nearly forgot that it was Friday. I just happened to remember. This week just has been so hectic."

"I guess it has," Wesley said. He began walking toward the restaurant. Although he was tempted to hold her hand, he wasn't sure she was ready for that, so he held back. "Since the full moon was this week, I imagine there were some new registrations, right? Uh... actually, Coda, the little girl who Alastor wanted to adopt... she ran away. She told Natalie she wasn't coming back because she was afraid someone would get hurt."

Evangeline nodded. "Yeah, there were a plenty to keep me busy," said Evangeline. "Really? I feel horrible for her to feel that way. I hope she does come back, because she shouldn't be out there on her own. There is Fenrir Greyback that's out there, I think he is trying to recruit werewolves for you-know-who. Although, I think that maybe she might be alright. There's a few registered werewolves that are pretty nice and if they're out there, I think they might find her and help her."

"I guess that's like anyone," Wesley said. "There are still a lot of good people out there... it's just that the bad ones are more obvious. Anyway, I do hope she'll be all right. We were just starting to get used to having her around."

"Oh, it was all right," Wesley said. "Natalie officially got her Hogwarts letter today, so I'm going to take her to Diagon Alley next week to buy all of her things. She actually seems almost excited. I think she's been so bored and lonely for such a long time, going to school will be good for her."

Evangeline smiled. "I'm glad. I know that she'll have fun at school," said Evangeline. "I remember getting my Hogwarts letter. However, I think my parents were more excited than I was," she added with a laugh.

Wesley laughed. "I can only imagine... It's funny, you know? There was no doubt that it was coming, and we'd been expecting it for a while, but it was still pretty exciting when it actually came, you know?"

"Yeah, that's probably it," Wesley said. "And this past year has just been so hard on her, and I think she just needs a change... something to look forward to. And I did get the job as the Ancient Runes professor, so I'll be able to stay close to her."

"I hope so," Wesley said. "She's always kind of kept to herself, even when she was very little. But I know she met a few people when she was hanging around the school last year, so hopefully that will help." He casually slipped his hand in hers as they walked. "I want you to meet her... would you like to come with us next week when we go to Diagon Alley?"

"Great!" Wesley said. "I'll let you know when we're going. I think it will be fun. I haven't been to Diagon Alley for shopping since... well... in a while." He frowned suddenly, remembering how the last time had been when he had taken Sabrina to buy her things for school just last year.
