"Ah, you're staying upstairs then?" he said. "I was thinking of doing the same, do you know what the rooms are like here?" He took another long swig from his drink.

"Well, the rooms are alright," said Rochelle. "Pretty much cleaned. Nothing special. Although, I can say they're better than places I've stayed before," she said.

"Aye, well, that's not so bad, then. Maybe I'll talk to the bartender about renting a room myself," Sully said, as he finished his third drink. "Well, I don't know about you, but I think if I have one more o' these, I'll be too drunk to stand."

Rochelle nodded. "My head is starting to feel funny, so I think I'm going to stop while I'm a little ahead," she said swallowing the last bit in her glass. "The last time I got too drunk, I had to be carried home. That wasn't good, and I don't want a repeat of that."

"No, that wouldn't be good," he said. "I might be a little too drunk already to carry you. But if you like, I could walk you up to your room."

"That would be very kind of you," said Rochelle. She stood up from her chair, slowly, and pushed her chair under the table like it was.

Sully dropped a few coins on the table, then pulled himself to a standing position. He glanced at Rochelle; she looked a bit unsteady, but hopefully if they took it slow, she would be OK. "Right, then," he said. "Lead the way."

Rochelle started to walk towards the stairs slowly. Luckly she didn't lose her balance or anything, but she still went up the stairs slowly, just in case. When she made it up the stairs, she felt more confident that she wasn't going to lose her balance or anything, so she took the next few steps fast, but that was a mistake. Just as she was about 2 steps from her door, she lost her balance, and began to fall backwards.

Sully saw her fall, and he rushed over and caught her in his arms. Holding her close for a minute, he gasped, "It's all right. I've got you." Breathlessly, he looked down at her and felt a bit warm. He helped her straighten up, but didn't let go of her.

Rochelle felt someone catch her. She looked to see Sully. "Thank you," she said quietly. Whenever he helped her straighten back up, and didn't let go of her, her heart felt like it skipped a beat. That wasn't supposed to happen, was it? Rochelle stared into Sully's eyes and she felt funny, not because of the drinking, but of something she didn't really know how to describe. Not only that, but time seemed to stop for a moment, and she didn't really want him to let go either.

Sully looked at her, feeling suddenly as if the breath had been knocked out of him. "Uh... you're... you're OK now," he said. A surge of panic rushed through him and he pulled away abruptly. "And... uh... I have to go now. I'll, uh... I'll see you around." He turned and rushed back downstairs, leaving her standing there in the hallway alone.

Rochelle watched as he rushed back downstairs, and she felt emptier than she had before. She sighed and opened her door. When she shut the door, Rochelle laid across the bed. What was making her feel so disappointed and somewhat sad? She didn't really understand, but then again, she couldn't really talk to anyone, because after all, she was a werewolf and he was a human. They would just probably tell her that it was all in her head. Only if her brother was still alive.

Sully staggered over to the bar, and, against his better judgement, ordered another drink. he was feeling more unsettled than ever and he didn't like the feeling. A part of him wanted to run back up the stairs to be with Rochelle, but that was crazy. He barely even knew her. And the feelings he was already starting to feel for her were extremely dangerous. Maybe it would be better if he kept his distance. But now, all he wanted to do was shut out what he was feeling. And maybe one more drink would do the trick.

Zander shook his head. "Are you sure you want another one, pal? It looks to me like you've already had one too many. Why don't you just go upstairs and sleep it off?"

Sully slammed his fist on the bar. "I said, I want another drink! If you won't give me one, I'll just have to go on to another bar. Look, I just need one more, OK?"

Zander shrugged. "OK, OK. I don't want any trouble. I'll give you one more drink. But if you pass out, don't blame me." He walked over and grabbed a bottle of the firewhiskey and poured a glass. "Here you go," he said, setting it in front of the man. Quietly, he walked back and observed the guy from a distance. He was definitely trouble. And yet, he'd seemed calmer, more relaxed, when he was talking with Rochelle. Zander had overheard a bit of their conversation. The man was a werewolf hunter. And ironically, Rochelle was a werewolf. And so was Zander. Curious, he thought, that this man who professed to be a werewolf hunter seemed to know so little about his prey. Well, he wasn't about to enlighten the man. He just hoped Rochelle was careful if she kept hanging around this man. He didn't seem very stable.

Sully took his drink and gulped down half of it. Then he turned around and began looking around the bar. There were quite a few seedy-looking fellows sitting in the back that seemed to be staring in his direction. "What, are you looking at something?" he shouted.

Korbel just happened to walk into the Hog's Head whenever someone shouted What, are you looking at something? He gave a small chuckle to himself and walked on up to the bar. He noticed that the man at the bar was the name he had gotten into a fight before. The werewolf hunter, Sully, or something like that. "You shouldn't worry about that mate. You shouldn't just start shoutin' stuff whenever there are men here that are steadier than you," said Korbel with a smirk.

Sully spun around, wobbling on his feet as he did. "Got something to say, do yeh?" He yelled. He squinted at the man, and suddenly recognized him. "You!" he hissed. "I know you.... I fought you before! You're that werewolf from back in France!" He pulled out a knife. "I hope you've got a weapon on you, brother, because I intend for this fight to go better than the last."

"You remember now," questioned Korbel with the same smirk. "Are you sure that I'm a werewolf? I mean you know those drinks could be gettin' to ya mate." Korbel eyed the knife that Sully pulled out. "I don't have a weapon, other than my hands mate. So I guess that'll do if you really want to fight. But I have to tell you mate, that I don't think that this fight will go for the better in your case."
