"Oh... I'm sorry, I just... I'm not used to saying such things to anyone. It felt... strange." He picked up his glass and began to drink quickly.

"Well, like I said. I'm not going to laugh at you if you have some random comment," said Rochelle. "Don't be embarrassed about it. There's nothing to be embarrased about."

"I didn't think you were going to laugh at me, I just..." he stopped and shook his head. "I just don't want you to think I'm trying to..." He stopped again. "I don't know what I was thinking, really." He gave her a slightly sheepish smile. "I'm no good with this... talking. I get awkward sometimes."

Rochelle smiled. "Well, you're doing okay," said Rochelle. "Everyone gets awkward sometimes. I think after we leave here, we should stop by the Hog's Head, drop our bags off, and then walk around some more, possibly. What do you think?"

"That sounds like a good idea," Sully said, smiling at her. "I'm ready to go whenever you are."

Rochelle finished her drink, and stood up, putting a few coins on the table. She grabbed her bags. "After you," she said with a smile.

Sully droped a few more coins on the table for his drink, then gathered his bag from the floor. He smiled back at her and headed to the door, opening it for her. "After you, lass," he said, winking.

Rochelle smiled at him again and walked out the door. She waited for Sully to catch up, and whenever he did, Rochelle walked closer to him, but yet, not too close.

Once again, as he walked next to Rochelle, he felt the urge to hold her hand. Still, he held back. He didn't want to complicate their friendship. He liked things the way they were, and was not at all interested in anything else. Yet the feelings he was starting to have for her were becoming stronger. As they reached the Hog's Head, he tensed up slightly. "I hope I didn't cause too much damage last night. I really don't remember what I did."

"I don't think you did any damage," said Rochelle. "Don't worry about it, even if you did, which like I said, I don't believe you did, you were drunk, and not really thinking, so technically, it's not your fault if you did do anything."

"Well, that's an excuse," Sully said. "I shouldn't be making excuses for what I do while I'm drunk... because I shouldn't be drunk in the first place. But thanks, anyway." He gave her a small smile and opened the door for her.

Rochelle smiled. "Maybe, well, hopefully, we can get you to cut down on your drinking," said Rochelle walking through the door. "Then, you wouldn't have to worry about not remembering what you did or didn't do."

Sully walked in after her. "It sounds like you've made me your own special project," he commented. "I wish I didn't need the help, but I am the one who let myself get this way. But if there's anything I can do for you, let me know, OK? I want to return the favor."

Rochelle smiled. "Well, what are friends for, right? And you are repaying me the favor. You're my friend, and that's all I really need," said Rochelle.

"Well, I guess that's a start," Sully said. "Still, if there's anything else I can do for you, let me know." He nodded toward the bar. I'm going to check with the bartender about the room I was given.... I don't think I even paid for it. Why don't you head upstairs to your room and I'll meet you by the door in a few minutes?"

Rochelle nodded. "Alright, I'll be back down in a second," she said heading up the stairs. Rochelle quickly went to her room and put down her bags, and took a quick glance in the mirror and saw that her hair was a mess. She tried to quickly fix it, but she stopped and asked herself why was she fixing her hair, she normally goes around with it messy, whenever it's pulled back, so why care now? Rochelle shrugged it off, and fixed it anyway, and then headed back down stairs to wait for Sully.

Sully talked to Zander about the room, and it was agreed that he would continue to stay in the downstairs spare room for the time being at a rate of 5 galleons a night. Sully thanked him, then headed to his room with the shirts he had purchased. He glanced in the small, dirty mirror, and felt a strange inclination to shave. He hadn't shaved in quite a while, although he did occasionally trim his beard and mustache. But suddenly, he found himself caring how he looked. It was stupid, really, he told himself. Instead he combed his hair quickly and splashed a little cold water on his face, then headed out to see Rochelle again.
(I say we start a new thread)
