Sully shrugged. "Um, I guess we can sit in that corner," he said. "What do you want? I'll go get our drinks."

"Um, I'll just take a butterbeer," said Rochelle heading over to the table. "Thanks," she said sitting down her bag and taking a seat.

Sully walked up to the bar and ordered two butterbeers. A minute later, he walked back with the drinks, and he placed one in front of her. "Here you go," he said as he sat down across from her. "So, tell me a bit about yourself. I know you don't do magic--why is that? Were you a squib?"

Rochelle shook her head. "No, I'm not a squib. I just, I'm not that great with magic. I haven't done any in a long time. I never got to go to Hogwarts or anything, I was taught a little at home, but my family never sent me to school, and I had an old hand me down wand, which was extremely old. I don't even know what happened to it," said Rochelle.

"That's a pity," said Sully. "Why didn't your family send you to school? Didn't they think it was important for you? Or did they just want to keep you near, to work or something?"

"Well, you see things happened that I don't want to talk about," said Rochelle. "And since those things happened, my family thought it was best if I just stuck around the house and they would teach me magic whenever they got the chance."

"Ah," Sully said, intrigued. It seemed Rochelle had a bit of a secret, and he couildn't deny that it made him like her alll the more. He took a big drink from his butterbeer, looking at her over the top of his glass. What was it about her that fascinated him so? "I'm afraid my story is far less complicated. Well, at least, the early part of it, anyway. I went to Hogwarts, and I fell in love with Jessica in my first year. Pretty much the first time I saw her, actually. She was a Hufflepuff and I was a Gryffindor. We were pretty much always going to be married... it just took me 5 years to convince her of it." He laughed slightly. "Do you have any brothers or sisters? I have a younger sister, but she disappeared when she was 16."

"Well, I had one brother, but I've already told you about how he was murdered," said Rochelle. "I never have loved anyone, other than family, because I never really got the chance to meet anyone else, and since I've travelled all the time, I haven't really had a chance to sit down and talk to anyone. But I think I'm going to stay here for awhile, so maybe I'll get the chance to meet someone, but then again, who knows, right?"

"Aye, your brother. Sad story, that. I don't even know what happened to my sister... I don't think I'll ever know." He sighed. "Well, I'm glad you'll be staying around. I haven't had a friend in a long time, and I admit, I rather like it."

"Hey, you never know, you could find out what happened to her," said Rochelle. "Somethings things just, come up," she said. She gave him a smile. "Well, I'm glad that I got here whenever I did. We both could have used friends at the time."

"It could happen, I suppose," Sully said. "She disappeared just a few months before Jessie died... It feels so long ago. So much has changed since then. I'm not sure I'd even recognize her." He took a sip from his drink and smiled at her. "Aye, we both needed a friend, and we met at the right time. I'm glad to have met you. It feels good to talk about things for a change."

Rochelle smiled at Sully and took a drink of her drink. "It does feel nice. Normally people just look at me strangely and continue on with their daily lives. I haven't had anyone I could really talk to about everything in awhile," she said.

"I used to think I was meant to be alone," Sully said. "That's why I never talked to anyone. I'm still not sure why I decided to talk to you, but I'm glad I did."

Rochelle shrugged. "I dunno either," she said. "What should we do after we leave here?"

Sully shrugged. "I don't rightly know. I'm not used to just doing things for fun. My days usually consist of eating, drinking, drinking some more, getting in a fight, and passing out." He shook his head. "I really am a mess, aren't I?"

Rochelle laughed. "Well, I think we can fix that," said Rochelle. "I haven't done anything fun either, but just walk around the places I've been. But let's see, what is there to do around here?"

Sully shrugged. "Pretty much the usual, I guess. Eat, drink, buy stuff. And dance. So tell me, do you dance? Now that I work at Spellbound, I'm guessing I'll be there a lot."

"Well, I've never really got the chance too," said Rochelle. "I mean I have, but not that often. I've tried to stay away from clubs if I'm by myself."

"That's probably a good idea," Sully replied. "Single lasses who go to clubs by themselves usually get all kinds of unwanted attention. Especially when they're as lovely as you are." He felt a little awkward after he said those words, and he quickly looked away. "I don't know if you know this, but some guys are jerks."

"So I've seen," said Rochelle. "That's one reason why I don't really like going out alone. No need for being embarrassed after saying comments. Don't let it bother you, because I'm not going to go crazy on you," she said after he looked away.
