"Peacefully," repeated Rochelle as if a question. "I don't believe Gretchen really knows what peaceful is. She has her mind on killing you. However, there is hope that something could change. There's always hope."

Sully stopped walking for a moment and put his arms around her, burying his face in her hair. "I've only just found you," he said softly. "I want a chance to finally be happy, after all the pain I've gone through. I am not going to die... not now... not when I have you to live for. Somehow... I'll find a way..."

Rochelle put her arms around him as he did her and took in his scent. Just being close to him like this, took away her worries. However, the worry about what might happen still hung over her. She wasn't sure what to say, but she kissed his cheek, then rested it in the crook of his neck. Rochelle did her best to hold back her fears, because she felt like that she had to be brave about it with him around. She couldn't just let tears flow, because she was scared, in front of him.

Sully felt as if his heart would burst from the emotions flowing inside him. He held Rochelle tightly, just breathing in her scent and feeling the soft curls in her hair tickling his cheek. He realized then, that he loved her more than he had even loved Jessica. His love for Jessica had been childish and innocent, but his love for Rochelle was deeper and more mature. It came from the knowledge of what it was like to love and lose. "I don't know how I'll do it, but I swear to you, I'll make it through this somehow. I'm not going to leave you. Not yet. Not so soon," he breathed.

Time seemed to slow down as they stood there, although, Rochelle didn't really mind. She gave a small, faint laugh. "I'm going to hold you to that Mr. Sullivan," she said with a kiss on his cheek. "I'll think of some way to help you, without anything happening. Maybe try to stall her in some moments to give you a better chance over her."

Sully pulled back and kissed her deeply. "OK, as long as you don't get hurt trying to help me," he said. "It won't do any good if I survive and you're hurt. I love you too much to lose you now..."

"Alright," said Rochelle. "I'll do the best I can. I have to find some way to give you the upper hand against her, plus I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, so you don't have to worry about that." She gave him a smile. "That I can promise you."

Sully smiled and kissed her again. "I'm going to hold you to that, lass," he said. He pulled back at last and clasped her hands in his. "All righ' then. I guess we'd better get this letter in the owl post. The sooner we hear from Zander, the better."

Rochelle nodded her head and began walking with him down to the owlery. She slightly worried about how well she could keep her promise. Quinn probably wouldn't think twice about hurting her if she had the chance. The two girls never got along.

Sully let go of her hand and slipped his hand around her waist instead. He was worried and fully of doubt, but he knew he had no choice. He had to make sure that his sister was safe. He didn't say anything else as they walked toward the Owlery. When they got there he found an owl and tied his message to it. He hoped the message would reach Zander quickly.
Turning to Rochelle, he managed a smile. "Well, now that that's done, maybe we should do something. Are you hungry?"

"Just a bit," said Rochelle. "I'm not sure what's exactly good around here. I never really did pay attention to the food places, so I guess we can just find somewhere." She gave him a small smile. Rochelle could smell the worry on him, but she couldn't blame him for it, she was just as worried herself. "I really don't really care where we go to be honest."

Sully smiled and kissed her cheek. "Why don't we just walk around for a bit, and if we find some place that smells good, we'll go in?" He thought maybe it would be good to keep themselves distracted, and to try and enjoy the time they had left in Italy.

"Yeah, alright," Rochelle said quietly. "That sounds like a plan." She squeezed his hand and started walking slowly. After they left here, things would change. It would be a good thing to not worry about what lay ahead, but just think about the time that they had left here for the time being. A memory of her brother kneeling down and silently talking to someone , which he had said was called praying, flourished in her mind. She decided that she would do that tonight. Pray to who it was that her brother had prayed to that everything would be alright and work itself out for the best. Rochelle glanced over at Sully and smiled.

Sully walked with her, his arm wrapped around her waist. He could tell she was worried, but he didn't want to make a big deal out of it. He would have to be the strong one. After all he had been through, all the loss and pain and loneliness, she was his reward. He was not going to lose her, not now. And he would not let her lose him, to know the kind of pain that he had known after Jessie's death. He breathed in the cool night air and glanced up at the sky. A bright star was shining down on them from above. The way he felt at that moment, he almost considered wishing on the star, like Ashura used to do when she was a little girl.
After a while, they came to a small restaurant. He could smell the rich aroma of tomatoes and cheese and meat coming from within. "Well, this looks like as good a place as any, don't you think?"

"Sure. Let's try it," said Rochelle. As they entered, and were seated, she took a look around. The place was not big, but not small either, and there were people everywhere. Some people were walking around carrying some big round thing with food on it, while some where just talking. As their waiter gave them menus and a few minutes to order, she looked over it. She didn't know what any of it was. They didn't have any pictures on the menu. All of a sudden, Rochelle felt a little shy. She put down her menu, with pink stained across her cheeks. "I can sort of read this, but I don't know what it is," whispered Rochelle.

Sully looked up from his menu and saw her pink cheeks. "Aye, don't worry, lass," he said with a smile, reaching across the table to touch her hand. "I'll help you through it. Have you ever had Italian food? Do you know about what you like? Or are you willing to just trust me and let me order for you?"

"I've had it a long time ago, but I don't remember what it was. My brother picked it out then," she admitted. "So, I'll have to trust you to order me something, since they don't have any pictures." This was one of the few times that she had ever really felt embarrassed about herself, but luckily, it was Sully that she was with and not by herself.

Sully smiled, glad to have something to distract them for a little while. "Don't worry about it," he said. "Don't you know that's part of the reason I love you... because you aren't as experienced in the world as I am? You haven't been hardened as much by some of the cruel things that can happen in life." He brought her hand up to his lips and kissed it. "I'll pick something out for you. Do you like meat? Or cheese? Do you like tomato sauce or something creamy?"

Rochelle gave a smile. "I do like meat, and is Cheese that white colored stuff that sort of smells, but is good too? If tomato sauce is that red stuff, then yes, and what is creamy," she said slightly curiously. "I'm sorry. I'm starting to ask a lot of questions. I feel like that I should know these things," she said turning slightly pink again.

Sully grinned affectionately at her. "Yes, that's right... Creamy would be something made of milk. It's usually kind of heavy." He looked down at the menu again. "You should probably try something simple... maybe a lasagna or spaghetti with meatballs."
