"It's because they only hear about the bad ones. You never read in the whatever it's called about a werewolf saving a child or anything like that. They only write about the bad stuff," said Rochelle. "Word is spreading through werewolves that there's a potion in the making that will help them keep their own mind for the night. I think it was WolfsBane Potion or something like that, but it's still being made. No one has really tried it yet."

"That's too bad. I am learning a lot more about how werewolves can be good, productive, and even heroic. After all, you saved my life, didn't you?" Sully smiled. "And Zander is a good person, from what I can see. And my sister... she's just an innocent girl. I hate to think of her suffering. I hope they can perfect this wolfsbane potion soon. It could really help people to learn how to accept werewolves if there's less of a danger to them."

"I doubt it," said Rochelle. "Not everybody will want to change their opinions about us. A few would, but not everyone. They'll still think of us bad, although the good ones are all around you, and do things for them everyday. Not all the wolves would want to take the potion. A few would, yes, but take ones like Greyback, they wouldn't."

"I wouldn't think everyone would want it," Sully agreed. "But I do hope it will be available for anyone who does. And if I can learn to accept werewolves... even to love one... I would like to think that anyone could." He smiled at her as the waitress approached them with their food.

Rochelle returned the smile and didn't talk about the subject again as the waitress approached. She smiled at the waitress and thanked her as she sat the food on the table. As she walked away, Rochelle glanced over to Sully. "Anyone can learn to accept us, is just the fact that do they want to. Some think it would be better to continue to hate us, some think different."

Sully looked at her, his eyes meeting hers. "For years, I let hate tear me apart. I wasn't much more than a shell of a man, because I was so consumed with hate. At first, it was just werewolves that I hated. Eventually, though, the anger took over me and I pretty much hated the world. I'm certain that if you hadn't come along when you did and seen something in me worth saving, that I would have wound up dying alone in some back alley. Probably with a bottle of whiskey in my hand. You saved my life, Rochelle... and I just wish others could see what that kind of hate can do to a person's soul... and how love and forgiveness can change everything for the better."

Rochelle gave him a faint smile. "Well, I was just doing what I was told to do," replied Rochelle. "I didn't really know what exactly I was doing, I just did what I had seen Gretchen do before, but added more as I went along. I'm sorry about the hate. I don't know what it is really like to hate someone, other than Fenrir, and the Snakeman, but I'm glad that you don't feel that way anymore. Humans, and even werewolves only see what they want, no matter how hard you try to make them see something else."

"Well, there is hope. People can change... they just have to have a reason." Sully smiled at her and began to eat his lasagna. "It's true... a lot of people won't try to understand werewolves, and a lot of werewolves will continue to act the way people expect... but I really think that some people, at least, will change their minds if they learn more about werewolves. When people don't understand something, that is when they start to hate. They do it out of fear of what they don't understand."

"Yeah, there are some people already changing their minds about werewolves. I've heard that the headmaster, I think he was called, at the school here is kind to wolves, since there is supposed to be one that goes there. I don't know who it is though," said Rochelle. "I feel bad for the kid. Having to go through all that mess, although I'm sure the headmaster takes good care of him. There's still a lot of things I don't understand, and I don't think I will ever understand, but you have to just go with certain things and try them, but like you said, most people are just scared."

"Fear makes a lot of people do stupid things," Sully said. "That's why it helps to try and face your fears, because then you may find out that what you were afraid of wasn't as bad as you thought." He laughed slightly. "It's funny how I can see this all so clearly now, but then... I was just blind to everything but my own hate."

"Hate does strange things to people," said Rochelle. "I've seen it worse than yours. I man took it out on some girl. I'm not sure who she was, but I know that they were both muggles." She shuddered at the memory. "But, I'm glad that you have changed. I have to admit, you were sort of scary, but I couldn't give up then, in fear of you, because of the fear of what Gretchen may have done if I gave in and just walked out."

"It's almost funny," Sully commented through a mouthful of lasagna, "Gretchen wants to kill me, but in a way, she is the one who saved me in the first place by sending you to watch me. Fate can work in mysterious ways sometimes."

Rochelle couldn't help but giggle as Sully talked with his mouthful. In order to stop, she gave a little cough and took a sip of water. "Yes it can," she said in agreement. Rochelle picked up her fork and looked at her spaghetti, not knowing what she was doing. She glanced over to her left out of the corner of her eye, and watched as a woman twirled her fork in order to get some on her fork. She sighed and tried twirling it. After the second try, she finally got some on her fork. Rochelle brought the fork up to her mouth and ate the noodles, only leaving a bit of sauce on her bottom lip, she carefully ran her tongue over it, and tried at the noodles once again.

Sully watched her struggle with the long spaghetti noodles. He couldn't help but smile at her. In fact, it took every bit of effort he had not to get up from the table and kiss her. "You're adorable," he said.

Rochelle continued to concentrate on getting the noodles on her fork. Finally she got more noodles on her fork, and just as she put them into her mouth, she heard Sully speak. She swallowed and looked at him, then gave a grin, with slightly pink cheeks. "It's complicated, but I think I'm getting it, just a little bit," she said holding up a hand to show a little bit.

"Don't worry, you're doing great," he said. "You can try to scoop up a small amount of the noodles and sort of brace them against your spoon as you twirl them onto your fork," Sully suggested. "Just hold your spoon up like this--" he demonstrated-- "and then push the noodles against it as you twirl. It makes it a lot easier."

Rochelle watched him carefully then picked up her spoon and tried it. She had to attempt it several times before she got it. After eating what had on her fork, she laughed. "Either way is complicated, but I think I'll get either way before I finish. I didn't really know that eating this stuff would be hard, but then again it's the first time I've ever had it."

"I used to make a terrible mess when I ate spaghetti," Sully said. "I'd end up with sauce all over my face, and bits of noodle in my hair." He laughed. "You know, Ashura never could get the hang of it. We used to cut hers for her, so it was in smaller pieces and was easier to get onto a fork. Do you want to try that, or do you want to keep trying to eat it whole?"

Rochelle laughed at the thought Sully having sauce across his face and the noodles in his hair. "I think I can just eat the noodles whole," she said. "It may take me a little bit, but I'll get done." She grinned again as the image of him having spaghetti everywhere. "You know, now that you told me about your accidents with spaghetti, I'm going to think about it every time I eat it."

Sully laughed. "Well, I'm glad you liked it," he said. "It's a bit embarassing to think of now, but I don't mind you knowing about it. I want you to know all of my secrets, even the embarassing ones. I loved to eat spaghetti when I was little, and I didn't care about the mess I made. But my parents took pictures of it, and every year at the holidays, they'd take them out and have a laugh. I got kind of self-conscious for a while... but suddenly, I don't even care. I want to share things about myself with you that I never even shared with Jessica."
