Bek smirked. Granted, Max and Seth were surely going to fight after this, but maybe it was exactly what they needed. Bek made a mental reminder to introduce herself to Samantha after class. She just had to thank her for her help, even if she wasnt entirely sure why.

"Right, now. Let's practice our wrist movements, shall we? Wands down please." He hesitated momentarily while the students complied. "The motion is quite simple. We'll do it together. Two quick outward swishes and a forward flick. For you right handed students that's two clockwise swishes. For left handed students it will be two counter-clockwise swishes. Ready? Together now. Swish swish flick." He demonstrated the movement precisely, watching how each student moved.

Samantha withdrew her wand and performed flawlessly.
Once in her first year of school during a defense class she had an accident which caused a lot of embarassment, it seemed that she had a lot of power but very little control. That was unacceptable to her mother, even though her professors assured Marrion that her daughter was gifted, the fact that her daughter was different in a way that could cause potential embarassment was a no no. From that point on Samantha had double the work, she would attend school regularly, but during any and all vacations and on the weekends she would meet with private tutors that assisted her in learning control. Once the problem was fixed her mother insisted she keep up with tutoring if only to be "better" than the other students. Sam hated it at first, she didn't want to be "better" she wanted to be normal. That word would never fit her.
She made the movements by muscle memory even, her eyes focused as if she were paying attention to every detail.

Severus Swished and flicked and had the desired result. It was smooth but not totally elegant. He thought 'At least it gets the job done.' and the began to stew. He hated this class, it felt so ...domestic. It was something his mother would have him do, he had to be good in school, he had to be something, not like her, not like his father, he had to be more. The curses he knew would be terrible and the magic he could do was already basic. He realized it'd be hard to be his teacher, he was so very hard to impress.

"Swish Swish Flick," Gage muttered under his breath, focusing hard on the task at hand. He held his arm ridged and it began to cramp and feel sore. "Swish swish flick, Swish swish...ow," he groaned, grapping his wrist. Some students get writing cramps, Gage got casting cramps.

Samantha glanced at Gage after his "ow" but didn't stop moving. She almost parted her lips to ask if he was alright, but didn't. A lifetime of almost being nice, but stopping herself. What was wrong with her? But surely one of Gage's friends would help him or ask him what was wrong, he didn't need her support in anyway.

"Gage," Maxi whispered, an understanding look on her face. Gage always had a hard time controling his wand, an impediment that she, Bek, and Seth figured Gage would grow into. But, even with out a wand, the poor boy wanted to focus extra hard so as to own up to his older, more experienced friends. "Here Kiddo, let me help," She grabbed his arm gently. "Relax," a common piece of advice she gave Gage. "Now, Swish Swish Flick..."

Bek peeked over at Maxi and Gage and smiled. Maxi was so sweet to help Gage out. Well, she was just sweet in general, that was Maxi. But it seemed her sour mood from earlier was fading, and Bek sighed in relief.

Seth looked over to Maxi and Gage, wondering is the mood she had been in was over with. "Wonder what that was about?" Seth said quietly to himself as he continued the motions.

Sam kept her wrists moving without paying much attention to them. She glanced towards Gage, and then towards Maxi and the others. This was getting a bit tedious, she almost wanted to pick up her wand and actually cast the spell, though to her credit she looked as if she were earnestly trying.

"A little less jab, and a little more flick, Mr Oliver. Try not to take your wrist off when you cast the spell." Carlisle was speaking softly to Gage as he walked around the room, looking over the students' technique. Most everyone seemed to be getting it. He politely corrected the few that needed assistance.
"Very good, everyone. I think we're ready to practice the incantation. Who can tell the class what the incantation for a summoning spell is?" He looked about the room for an eager face to call on.

Samantha raised her arm quickly before the other students and tried to catch the professors eye. Her heart thudding, though she wasn't sure why, she felt a desire to make up being late to his class, not out of moral obligation, or that she felt bad for being tardy, but solely because it didn't look good.

He saw a hand fly up into the air, and he turned towards it. "Yes, Miss-" Carlisle looked down at the note she had given him when she showed up late for class. "Miss Montgomery. The incantation is?"

"Accio, Professor." her wand had stilled as she answered him, obviously she didn't want to summon the professor to her.
She waited for approval as her arm lowered.

"Excellent. Ten points for Slytherin." He twisted to aim his wand at the blackboard. The word 'Accio' appeared as he turned back to the rest of the class. "Accio, the incantation for the summoning charm. To work properly it must clearly. Can everyone repeat it with me?" There was a short pause, before he said, "Accio," fo the class to say it with him.

Samantha didn't care that this was elementary, she was thrilled to have gotten her house points. That "thrill" was short lived, but it did linger long enough to have her participating in the class saying Accio when instructed.

"Accio," Gage said with the rest of the class, still trying to focus on the motion for the wand. He looked over to Maxi who was doing the same and muttered. "Thank you."

Maxi simply winked at Gage and continued her practicing. She REALLY wanted to get to more practical practice. She knew this spell it was easy for her, she'd done it a million times.

***Just a note for you guys, this spell is a fifth year level spell, so if you're fifth year and under, you haven't learned this spell yet, at least in class. And since the classes are joined up together, please play as if you are actually learning here. There's no point in having classes if you are all going to play that you know it already. It's not that elementary of a charm. I do my research in my lesson plans, and I try to choose tasks that are appropriate.***
The classroom sounded with a chorus of 'Accio' and Carlisle smiled. "Very good. I'm sure you are all eager to get onto the practicum session of our lesson, so let's begin." Carlisle conjured enough plastic jars for each student to summon, which appeared silently on his desk. With an organizing charm, he aligned the jars in a single file line across the from of the desk. "Front row, we'll have you summon a jar first. Second row next, and third row last. Remember; swirl, swirl, flick. Front row," he called on them to practice.

***Got it***
Maxi excitedly picked up her wand and pointed it to a jar. "Accio Jar," she said and focused on the jar. It came about five feet then dropped to the ground. "Oops..." she said. She turned to Seth who she knew would be smirking at her. "Shut up, you try it," she said.
