Roy was a little antsy. After yesterday's afternoon with Caitlin, Roy had called his sister over for some advice, in the end, the two decided that Roy was suddenly growing a little crush on Caitlin. Roy didn't really know how to react to this. In school, he never really persued romantic feelings, he was much too sour about his blindness.
He was still stubborn about it, but Roy knew he wasn't going to let it run him. That's how he had met Caitlin in the first place.
He heard the knock at the door and pulled out his wand. Marina, when she was over yesterday, moved all his furnature, thinking she was helping, but now Roy didn't know where anything was. He turned his wand into a walking cane and made his way to the door, tripping over random chairs and tables.
He finally made it to the door and opened it. "Hey there," Roy said with a smile.

After Roy left yesterday, Caitlin took her time cleaning up. It had put her in a good mood, so she finished cleaning the entire house.
The next day rolled around and she was yet again excited. Caitlin shook her head, it was only a school girl that got entirely excited about seeing someone. She was out of school, past that school girl stage. Whenever she left her apartment, it dawned on her that she should get an actual job somewhere. Sure, she helped take care of people certain days during the week, but what money she got from that wasn't going to last her forever.
Pushing thoughts from her mind, she headed over to Roy's. Once she knocked, she heard a few thumps, then the door opened. It caused her to smile. "Hey."

He knew it was Caitlin the moment he opened the door. By now, he could just tell. "Hey," he said again, leaning against the door. "What's up," he asked, smileing. "Sorry it took me so long to get to the door. Marina was over, moved everything..." He shook his head and smiled. "come on in," He offered, stepping away and giving her room to walk in.

"Just been debating where I want to attempt to get a job," she said casually. Caitlin stepped inside his apartment and looked around. "Don't worry about having to take your time getting to the door. I'm not in a hurry for anything."
She crossed her arms. Even though she had been to Roy's place enough to know that she could just walk in and take a seat, she always thought she should wait for Roy to do something. It wasn't because she thought that Roy might need help with something. Caitlin had always waited until someone else sat down first, unless of course she was in her own place, or visiting her parents.
"Why did she move your furniture around," she asked smile.

"A Job?" Roy asked, hoping she would elaborate as he let her in.
"Oh, you know Marina," Roy shook his head. "She was just trying to help I guess." His sister has always been like that, ever since Roy's accident that caused him to go blind. She always watched out for him, but sometimes she would over do it, and Roy just didn't have the heart to tell his sister off for it.
"Take a seat," Roy said, noticing she hadn't yet. "Make yourself at home and all that host talk," he smiled. "Can I get you anything?"

Caitlin let out a quite laugh. "At least she is trying to," she said taking a seat on the couch. She leaned back against the back and folded her hands into her lap.
"I think that I'm okay for right now but if I need anything, I'll let you know." Caitlin knew better than to just tell him that she would get it. Roy wasn't helpless and she would amuse him by letting him get her something a little later.
"Yeah, I've been thinking about a job. I need to start having more money to come in," she said with a sigh. "I don't even really know where I could start looking. Maybe I could go to one of those muggle grocery stores and see if I could work there, or maybe I could find something in one of the shops in Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley."

"Can't hurt for trying," Roy agreed, thinking that he would never get upset with Marina for trying to do what she thought was best. Maybe he'd learn a spell to move everything back to where it was when she left.
"Jobs are good," Roy agreed, taking a seat once he figured out where Caitlin had sat. He took a seat on the couch beside her and faced her. Roy had never considered getting a job. He remembered in his fifth year meeting with his head of house about careers after Hogwarts. He had told her that he felt he'd be useless at any job, so why bother getting one.

"Yes they are. I'm going to go tomorrow to ask if anyone needs any help. Hopefully I can find a job close by." Caitlin shrugged. She turned so that she was facing him on the couch. Of course, even with a job she would still make time to come by to see Roy.
"So how have you been since yesterday other than getting used to the fact that your furniture has been moved around? Have you practiced any dancing?" Her last question was asked with a teasing tone in her voice.

Roy chuckled. "Practiced? Ha, no, I think I could only do that with a partner," he said, flashing a smile. "'sides, With Marina's fung-sui I would have just fallen over anyway," he chuckled again.
"Since yesterday? Nothing really, Marina came over and we hung out for a while, talked..." about Caitlin. "Then the usual, tuned the piano cause it was out of practice and went to sleep," He shrugged his shoulders. "Nothing of grand importance. I have a pretty boring day-to-day lifestyle." Roy said,

Caitlin laughed. "Well, I promise you won't be falling over any furniture. We'll relearn where every thing is placed now. She didn't move things in your kitchen did she?" There was a teasing tone in her voice again.
"Before I leave today, would you play something on the piano? I haven't heard you play in awhile." The teasing tone had been replaced by an almost shy one. She loved to hear him play guitar and piano. It made her wish that she had learned how. "Ah, you're life is not that boring. We should do something one day that will change it up completely."

"No, thank god," Roy said. "Most of the stuff in the kitchen is bolted down anyway," he let out a low chuckle.
"Sure, anything," Roy said. "Like I said, freshly tuned, just for you," he smiled, showing his teeth. "My guitar i haven't played in a few days, it's in my room somewhere..." Meaning he misplaced it. And that meant he probably wouldn't find it until he kicked it, or god forbid, stepped on it.
Roy felt thirsty and got up from the couch. "Do you wan't something to drink?" he asked. "I don't have much, actually, I think just water..." He smiled and blushed lightly.

"I'll help you find your guitar," she said. Caitlin knew Roy well enough to know when he misplaced something. "But I'm looking forward to hearing you play." She was smiling and her smile could be heard in her voice. Most of the time, Caitlin's feelings could be heard in her voice.
"I'd take a glass of water if you don't mind." Since he was offering, she wasn't going to turn him down.

"Really? Thanks," Roy said. "But you don't have to now, later's good," He added. He got up and headed to the kitchen, happy he didn't stub his toe on any furnature as he moved slowly through the liviing room.
The kitchen was a different story. Since most of the furnature and appliances were bolted down, it couldn't be moved, and it was the easiest room to move through for Roy. He was able to quickly move around the island in the kitchen to the cabinets where he kept the glasses. Roy grabbed to and then spun around to the sink in the island to fill the glasses with water.

"I'll definitely find it before I leave today." Caitlin moved on the couch so that she was sitting more comfortably and clasped her hands together on her stomach as Roy moved to get up.
As he walked into the kitchen and turned on the water, she leaned over so that she could see into the kitchen. A smile broke across her face as she watched him move around the kitchen. She laughed quietly to herself (with the exception of a small noise that came out of her as she tried to keep quite) as he spun around. Caitlin hurried up and sat back up as she noticed him coming back.
"I would have come joined you in the kitchen," she said, "but I didn't really want to get up."

"Lazy," Roy teased, comming into the living room again and handing Caitlin her glass. He thought he had heard footsteps and a laugh, but he guessed he was wrong. He took his own glass and sat in the chair next to Caitlin.
"So what's up with you?" Roy asked. "Feet sore from me stepping on them yesterday?" Roy laughed.

"That I am," she said with a laugh before taking a drink of water. "Gosh, yes my feet are so sore from you stepping on them yesterday! They're still swollen. What do you do, put bricks in your shoes," Caitlin asked teasingly then gave another laugh. "I'm only kidding. My feet are perfectly fine. You didn't bother them by stepping on them, promise."
She didn't want Roy to take what she said at first seriously, but she had a feeling he wouldn't. "I'm sure that I could deal with dancing with you again. After all, I did say that we were going to practice."

His heart stopped a little when she complained about being sore, but Roy relaxed slightly when he heard the amusement in her voice. "Geez Caitlin, give a man a heart attack why don't you?" he chuckled.
"Yes, you did say we were going to practice," Roy said with a smile, and even though he sounded a little reluctant, he couldn't wait to dance with Caitlin again. "And I also said i would play for you," he jerked his head toward the piano in the corner. "so what's first?" he smiled.

"Those are both true," Caitlin said as she started to sit up. She placed her glass of water on the table, and then stood up. "I want to hear you play first, since I haven't heard you play recently."
Caitlin moved in front of Roy and took his arm, pulling on him gently. "I don't care what you play. Just play what ever is on your mind." She was smiling as she pulled him gently in the direction of the piano. She took a seat on the corner of the piano bench, allowing Roy plenty of room to sit comfortably.

He felt her take his arms and he stood up off the couch. Gently, she pulled him toward the piano and he took his time getting situated with the keys in front of him. With his right foot, he felt the three pedals underneath. With his left hand, he pressed a key or two.
"B flat," Roy said, more to himself as he pressed that note. Next few over, a long key. "G," he muttered. He did this for a moment until he was situated and knew where all 88 keys were based on where he was sitting. Roy was aware of Caitlin sitting beside him, and alson that she gave him enough room to work.
"I don't need that much room," Roy smiled. He placed his hands in the correct spot and played Fur Elise, one of the first songs he ever taught himself by ear. He played for a few minutes, quietly listening and feeling, flowing over the keys.
After a minute or two of playing, "Any requests?" he asked Caitlin with a smile. It wasn't like he had sheet music to work with, everything was by ear. And on the days he sat around this apartment alone, he heard a lot of music. "Come on Cait, favorite song, I bet I could play it..." his confidence was in his music, thats where Roy shined.

Caitlin slid over closer to him while her face turned warm. She placed her hands in her lap as she watched his fingers strike the keys with ease. A light smile was on her face as she watched him. Roy seemed completely at home while he played, and that was enjoyable to watch.
"Favorite song?" She thought for a moment. Well, her favorite show was the Nutcracker. Caitlin racked her brain for songs from the Nutcracker. "What about Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy by Tchaikovsky," she asked shyly.
