Coda nodded. "I know, but that was the last place my pack was, I thought they would still be there." She looked at her arms. "I'm use to Goss attacking me, though I'm also use to Tis saving me."

Skye continued to walk. "I've never seen regular wolves act like that before. It's rare enough that they took you in for all that time, but for the others to attack you... you are a most unusual werewolf, Coda. Will they attack you in your human form as well?"

"They did once, but Sauris and Tis fought them because they are always with me when I am in my human form." Coda said.

As they reached the river, Skye stepped into the water and turned to face Coda. "Where do you think they might have gone? Have they moved caves before?" she asked.

"Yes, they have, I guess they thought I would always be with the humans." Coda said as she also stepped in the river.

Skye walked over to where Coda was standing and began to examine the girl's wounds. "Most of these aren't very deep," she said. "You were lucky. But this one on your shoulder could become infected. I'm going to need to bandage it. I can't do it here. Why don't you clean yourself off, and then we'll head back to see if Karl found our clothes. Do you keep clothes nearby? Do you have something in the cave?"

Coda shook her head. "No, the clothes in the cave are too small." She began to wash herself off getting the dirt out of the scratches as if she had done it before.

Skye frowned. "Well, we cannot bring you into town without clothes on," she said. "Maybe Chloe can use her stick thing to make some appear. I could make you some more clothes later; I am good at sewing. I always used to repair Karl's clothes when he got them all torn up."

"All right, that would be good enough, if you can find something," Skye replied. "You should wash all over, and not just the wounds. You have some blood stains on your skin."

"Well, we're here to help you now," Skye said. "Whatever you need, we'll help you, all right? And you are free to secide where you want to go from here. If you want us to look for your wolf family, we will do that. But if you want us to take you to the humans, we can do that. We just cannot leave you alone out here."

Karl walked back to where they had left their things the night before. He found their clothes and Chloe's stick, and walked back to where Chloe was still sleeping. Kneeling down next to her, he shook her lightly. "Chloe, hey," he whispered. "It's morning."

Chloe was still sleeping peacefully. During the night, she hadn't really slept that well, until about an hour or two before dawn broke. She didn't even notice that Skye and Coda had left. Finally Chloe was shaken slightly, and she heard Karl's voice. She slowly opened her eyes. "Hey Karl."

Karl smiled and kissed her on the tip of her nose. "Good morning," he said. "Skye and Chloe are washing up in the river. I brought your clothes and your stick."

Chloe smiled. "How is Coda doing? She wasn't hurt to bad was she," Chloe asked pulling her shirt over her head.

Karl shook his head. "It doesn't look too bad. Skye's gonna patch her up. She's good at that. She used to patch me up when I'd get all scratched and stuff." He smiled. "We'll take her to your place once we get her some clothes and stuff. She can decide what to do from there."

Chloe nodded and finished dressing. She took her wand and tucked it safely in her pants pocket. "I suppose we better walk towards the river and get them their clothes," said Chloe. "I'm glad she's doing better. What about you? How are your injuries from last night?"

Karl looked down at the gashes on his boy. "Aw, these ain't nothing," he said. "I'll be fine, no worries. I had worse cuts than this before." He smiled. "But I'll let you be the one to patch me up."
