Christine spun around at her uncle's voice. His finger going to his lips curbed her desire to run and jump in his arms but she was definitely glad to see him, "Oh you're home!" she said in a slight whisper, " I'm so glad." she nodded.

Christopher spun Christine around as he hugged her. "I thought that I would surprise you by coming home early. Of course I have something for you and Sam, but you two will have to wait until later to get them." He smiled widely. "I don't want your dad to know I'm here quite yet. I thought that I would come see you two first. So, how is school going? I don't have to come and take care of a few people do I?"

Geoffrey felt butterflies in his stomach as he headed over to Alison's house to pick her up. It was awfully soon for her to be meeting his family, and the Montgomery family wasn't exactly the perfect sappy sitcom family. Not that there was anything wrong with them, either. But they could certainly be intimidating for those who didn't know them. And since Alison would be the first girl he'd ever brought over to a family gathering, there was sure to be a lot of scrutiny. He only hoped they would take it easy on her.
He took a deep breath as he knocked on Alison's door. "Well, here goes nothing," he whispered to himself.

Glancing at the clock, Alison was searching her apartment for her shoes. She was ready to go, except for the fact that should couldn't find her shoes. Her hair was pulled back for once and she had on a blue top, with a light white button up sweater over top of that and nice black pants. Alison wasn't sure what she should have worn, but she figured that it would do.
"Oh Benji, were are my shoes," she said worriedly. Geoffrey would be there any moment and she wasn't quite ready. The small puppy seemed to be dragging the shoes that she was looking for toward her. "Thank you Benji!" Alison took the shoes from him and put one on. Right before she could put the other on she heard a knock on the door. Her heart started beating faster, but she hopped to the door, attempting to put on her other shoe. After nearly falling, she was able to get her shoe on just as she reached the door. Benji was right behind her with his little tall wagging.
Alison took in a deep breath and opened the door. A smile grew on her face as her eyes met Geoffrey's. "Hey," she greeted. She was nervous, she wasn't going to lie about that. Alison had never done anything like this but then again there was always a first time for everything.

Geoffrey's heart did a little flip-flop at the sight of her. She looked really pretty. Blue was definitely a good color for her. In that moment, all of his fears of what his family would think of her seemed to fade away. They were going to adore her. How could they not?
"Hi," he said, grinning. He held out a small bouquet of flowers to her. It just felt right to bring something... besides the small gift he had brought for her. "Benji's not going to eat these, is he?"

"You brought me flowers," Alison asked excitedly. This was probably the first time she got flowers from someone other than her father. "Thank you!" She took the flowers polietly. "I need to put these in a vase real quick, and no Benji won't eat these. He doesn't like to go attempt to eat colorful stuff," she said with a laugh. "You can come in for a few moments while I put these in my vase."
Alison pulled out her wand and made water appear in her painted vase that she recieved from her mother. After putting the flowers in the vase, she turned back to Geoffrey. "If you're not careful, Benji will get you in a staring contest," she said with a laugh. Benji let out a short bark and she shook her head. "Alright, I'm ready if you are."

Geoffrey was kneeling down on the ground, petting the puppy when Alison turned around. He smiled up at her. "He's really cute," he said. "I wish I had time to hang around for a bit and play with him... he seems like a pretty fun dog."
He stood up and looked at her shyly. "You look really nice," he said. "My family's going to like you, I can tell."

"Benji is adorable," she agreeded. "Maybe you could come back sometime. I'm sure that he would love it since apparently he likes you." Alison smiled widely. She would have enjoyed him coming back too. "He really likes to play around."
As Geoffrey stood up, Alison was straighting out her sweater. "Thank you," she said blushing. She didn't bother hiding it. "You know really nice too." Her voice had become almost shy.

Sam it seemed was more talkative than Christine was, which in the Montgomery household was a strange thing indeed, but Sam dealt with this problem differently. Instead the trouble she had now forced her to act, forced her to smile, luckily her family didn't know her well enough to know that she was more afraid than ever.
She smiled sincerely however seeing her Uncle Chris. Everyone expected it to be a strange homecoming when she moved in with them, but really she did her best to set everyone at ease and blend in as if she had been staying with them forever. "Ooh Presents." she said with a grin.

Releasing Christine, he held his arms out to Samantha. "Of course I brought you two presents. Two each," he said smiling. "I found a couple things, with some help and opinion of course, and thought that you two would like it. I always have to bring my neices something back from my trips, don't I?" Christopher knew that Sam was still adjusting to living there. By looking at her, it appeared that she was doing wonderfully.

Samantha nodded and fell easily into his uncle's arms. "I'm glad you made it." she told him sincerely. This was a new experience for Samantha. Warm and loving didn't exactly enter into her world when she had lived with her mother, but here...at the place she was now beginning to believe as home...here things were different. Here she was loved.
She and Christine still needed to get dressed, but it wasn't too important just yet, still she looked over her uncle's shoulder to catch Christine's eye in a light signal.

"I couldn't miss Christmas and seeing two of my favorite people," he said hugging her. Christopher released Samantha and looked at the both of them, realizing they weren't dressed. "I think you two lovely ladies should go get dressed. You know how Edward and James are," he said with a grin.
Before he turned to leave however, he walked over to Christine and bent down to her ear. "She's not your aunt," he whispered. "She's just here with me. I'm attempting to work things out." As Christopher stood up straight, he looked down to his niece with a look that said that they would talk about it later. Of course, Christine would know what he was talking about anyway. He looked to Samantha and smiled. "Do either of you know if Anthony is going to be here?"

It was just one more thing they were planning to do together. There were already so many things he wanted to do with her. It seemed odd to make so many plans when they'd known each other for such a short time. And yet, somehow, it felt natural. "Thanks," he said, blushing. "Anyway, we'd better get going. My mum's probably wondering what's taking me so long."

She didn't mind planning out things. Of course, they didn't have to do everything at once. Alison looked at it more as ideas that could be done, but didn't have to be. However, she did want Geoffrey to be able to come over at least once, other than just picking her up.
"Alright, my coat is by the door." Alison bent down to Benji and petted his head. "Behave," she told him then stood up and grabbed her coat before putting it on. "Ready whenever you are."

"All right, let's go," Geoffrey said. Turning to the puppy, he said, "Goodbye, Benji! You be a good dog, and take care of the house!"
He opened the door for her and led her outside. "I know a guy in the Portkey office, so we'll be going by portkey." Then he let out a short laugh. "You know, it's funny, but I work in the Floo Network, but I never travel by floo. I hate showing up to places covered in soot."

"I only travel by floo if it is raining outside, or if I don't feel like apparating. Apparating doesn't bother me as much as it used to, but I attempt to limit how many times I actually do it." There had been a few times that Alison almost splinched herself and she didn't want to repeat that to many times.
"But I'm sure that you make the soot look good," Alison said with a laugh. At the realization of her words, her cheeks went extremely hot and she started watching where she was going.

Geoffrey nodded. "Yeah, I usually like to apparate, too. It's just faster. But I always think side-along apparating is a little weird, and it's hard to apparate somewhere you've never been. So, that's why the portkey."
He felt his cheeks grow warm at her compliment. It was strange how often she seemed to be able to make him blush. He didn't really remember doing it so much with anyone else.
"Thanks... you, too." He stared down at the ground, making a big deal out of looking around for the portkey. Spotting a small tin cup, he pointed. "There it is."

"Thanks," she said looking back up. Alison wasn't even sure what kind of portkey they were looking for. She was just following him, which she didn't mind. Even though the two hadn't really known each other for long time, in some ways it seemed like they had or to Alison it did anyway.
Spotting the tin can after he pointed it out, she shyly slipped her hand into his. "Alright, lets go." Giving him a smile, she reached down for the can.

It wasn't like her uncle to be mysterious but those whisperings of a secret lady in the house, and not being her aunt...why would he have mentioned that unless he had taken her seriously...and if he had taken her seriously was he seriously in the market for a wife? Was this woman, whoever she was, the one? He said that they weren't married yet...or well there had been an unvoiced "yet" that her superior inquiring mind caught rather easily. Now she was intrigued, but she knew better than to pry, she would have to find out more later. When Christopher asked about Anthony Christine sighed, "He's not here yet...I hope he can make it." it would have been really nice to have the whole family for Christmas.

Caleb took a breath and studied his reflection a bit longer in the mirror. He had been examining feelings that he didn't care to examine ever since break, really ever since the Attack itself. The questions he kept asking were plaguing his mind incessantly and it all boiled down to the fact that he was acting like a nervous schoolboy because a school girl...not just any schoolgirl, but his own student was coming for dinner. This was madness he had said again and again, when he wasn't pushing the thoughts out of his mind, and yet madness had a way of forcing itself into the mind whether the mind wanted it or not.
He rolled his eyes at himself as he removed an invisible speck of lint off of his shoulder, "Get it together man.." he shook his head and left his room to search out ...well anyone would do, but being alone with this thoughts was not a good idea.
