Andrea let him direct her quietly grateful that he was allowing her this reprieve and that she didn't have to face Christine or any of the other Montgomery's looking the way she did. Going into the Room Christopher provided for her she took the gift nodding and moved for the shower, indeed she needed to wash off and clean up. She was at least clean now, and being clean indeed felt wonderful. She hadn't looked at Christopher's present yet and she was almost anxious over what he had got her. How typical for a girl to simply forgive a boy because he buys her something... She sighed bemused at herself while standing in front of the mirror. She wished she still had that wig...while her hair had grown out a bit from the trip and her not cutting it, it still only reached her shoulders and she missed the voluptuous curls. Oh well, she'd have to work with what she had, luckily she still had the make up she bought when they had gone to port and began making herself up for the dinner. She really didn't know what to expect from all this, but the least she deserved from Chris after all this time was a meal...and then...well who knew.

"Ah, well, hopefully he will make it. I haven't seen him in ages." The smile was still on his face. "Now, you two beautiful girls run along and get dressed. We don't need James nor Edward coming around telling you two that you are late do you? Besides, there is someone you might like to meet, and you two should be dressed at least for that." Christopher winked at the both of them and then started to walk back to the bathroom where he left Andrea.
He knew that she was probably still mad at him, but Christopher didn't care. He was going to do everything possible to get her to forgive him. The dress that was in the box was the simple sunset colored dress that he noticed that she had her eyes on. He knew that it would do perfectly for her. It wasn't too fancy, it was just a simple everyday type of dress.
Arriving back at the bathroom door, Christopher reached up and knocked carefully. "Andrea?"

The last thing Andrea expected to see in the box was the very dress she had been thinking about. After her shower and make up she stared forlornly at the clothes she came in, dreading putting them back on, she wanted to make a good impression on his family though she wasn't sure why she cared, she still knew that her raggedy sailor's clothing wouldn't do the trick. She had been thinking of that beautiful dress she had seen the day they went together to shop for presents, which reminded her that he had a present for her.
Giddily she opened the box and found the very dress she had been wanting so badly inside. The smile lingered on her lips. Chris had noticed her looking at it, he had been very attentive...in fact those few days at port had been magical...she had almost forgotten.
She slipped into the dress, it was strapless and fitted until it came to the waist where it fell in a soft poof getting darker as it went down until it ended at her calves creating a beautiful sunset.
She had just been looking at herself in the mirror surprised by her appearance once more how well she cleaned up. Then Christopher knocked, "Just a minute." she said smoothing out her dress again then going to the door.

Waiting patiently, Christopher stood in front of the door. He knew that girls liked to take their time. However, whenever she opened the door, Christopher felt his breath catch. He knew that look on his face said it. Her dress fit her well. Of course she looked beautiful. He thought that she looked beautiful in no matter what, now that he knew her.
"You look amazing," he finally said. A smile grew on his face and it took some restraint not to just lean in and kiss her.

"Thank you." she answered, heat rushed to her cheeks but she didn't pay attention to it. She was trying to maintain her anger at him, trying and failing, he was giving her a night that she longed for, and anger...well it never solved anything. She spent a lot of her life being angry, and she still had nothing to show for it, anger just exhausted her.
"Are we late?" she asked concerned.

The relief that hit Christopher was that she didn't look like she was about to rip his head off and she was talking to him. That was a good start.
"No, we're not late. I just thought that I would come check on you and make sure that you found everything you need." He gave her a light smile. "If you're up for it, I suppose we should go find my brothers."

Call it a momentary truce, besides she couldn't very well make a fool of herself in front of his family could she?
Nodding she swallowed somewhat, she had heard about the infamous Montgomeries, she was a bit out of her league even with her station in life, and certainly out of her league as a regular cabin boy.
"Alright."
She didn't know that she would be subject to scrutiny as soon as she met the other Montgomery men, Christopher might like to court rebellion as far as his family was concerned but they all knew better than to bring their light 'o loves over to the main house, it was wives or serious girlfriends only.

Samantha finished pinning her hair up in a flawless chignon then stepped out of her robe and put on the knee length evening dress. She looked beautiful as was expected of her...well perhaps not anymore, she could have appeared in her pajamas and they would have accepted her, she was beginning to like that very much even if she didn't know how to express it as often as she would like to.
Slipping across the hall she knocked on her brother's door, "Caleb, it's Sam may I come in?"

He wasn't sure what James' and Edward's reactions were going to be knowing that he had brought a girl home. It was the first time he did and Christopher was ready for any kind of questions they threw at him, he just hoped that Andrea would be ready as well. "Don't let my brothers intimidate you in anyway. I'm sure that they're going to like you." Christopher gave her a smile.
"And just to let you know, you're the first girl that I ever came here with me." He wanted her to know that he wasn't just bringing her here so that she could just eat and then run. He wanted her to stay with him and forgive him. Christopher wanted to make things right.

"Really?" she asked surprised forgetting her anger for a moment, it was surprising that he had never brought a girl home, well at a second glance no...it really wasn't. She didn't imagine that there were many women important enough for him to bring home, or rather dignified enough. Still she smiled. "Thank you." it was a compliment and she would take it as one.

He took a deep breath. "Even though my actions have not reflected what I have felt lately, I really do honestly care for you Andrea," he said. "I had a lot of time to think about everything and the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I liked you. That is why I really extended the offer of coming home with me. You had me captured from the first moment I actually saw you. And tonight, I know that you are probably still angry with me, but I ask that you continue to give me the chance to make up every bit of it to you and show you what I mean."
He offered his hand to her to take.

"Thanks," she said looking back up. Alison wasn't even sure what kind of portkey they were looking for. She was just following him, which she didn't mind. Even though the two hadn't really known each other for long time, in some ways it seemed like they had or to Alison it did anyway. Spotting the tin can after he pointed it out, she shyly slipped her hand into his. "Alright, lets go." Giving him a smile, she reached down for the can. He smiled back and took hold of the can at the same time she did. He didn't even have time to process the fact that their hands had touched before they felt the familiar pull of the portkey, whisking them over to the Montgomery house. As they reached the house, Geoffrey looked at Alison. "We're here," he said. "Let go!" He let go of the portkey and sailed neatly down towards the front yard.

If Alison hadn't had a lot of practice with portkeys, she would have landed on the ground with a thud, just like the first time she ever used one.
She let go when he told her to and she landed gracefully on the ground beside him. "That was much better than the first time I ever used one of those things," she said with a laugh. Of course since then she had a lot of practice with portkeys. Alison was starting to feel slightly nervous about meeting his family. So many questions popped into her mind, but she pushed them away so that they wouldn't cloud her mind.
Instinctively, Alison held onto Geoffrey's hand in an attempt to stop being nervous.

She'd be a fool to believe him, and she did not survive as long as she had by being a fool. She was staring at him utterly confused, this was a completely different man than the one she had known, well that wasn't entirely true, this man was more the man whom she had met during their brief time at port, but afterward he was a terror...why the sudden change? She didn't trust it and his pressing for her trust simply made her more wary shaking off her thoughts she sighed, "I wish I understood you..." she murmured but put her hand in his, she wasn't going to snub him in front of his family.

"I know what I did was wrong," he said after hearing her murmured words. "And I regret that I acted that way. I was, I was, I don't know. I regret my actions because I honestly did have a great time with you while we were in port. You know me better than anyone else. I've never had anyone so close to me, other than Christine. I suppose I was scared, but my actions were far to rash and I swear to you I will never ever act that way toward you again." Christopher wasn't sure if she believed him or not, but either way he got it out there.
Once she took his hand, he took in a deep breath and led her away from the hall bathroom and started to look for his brothers.

She nodded somewhat curtly wishing he would stop apologizing, it made her a little uncomfortable, not that he didn't have plenty to be sorry about, but she knew she hadn't exactly made it easy on him, and that she hadn't been completely honest with him, his retaliation wasn't fair, but in his own way she understood the justice behind it, his profuse apologies now confused her, and she was wary and would be wary for a while until things smoothed out.

Thankful that Andrea wasn't angry with him at the moment, Christopher continued to led her through the house. "Christine and Sam are getting ready," he told her. "I think that they're excited about meeting you, or well at least Christine is I believe." He gave her a smile.
He wasn't sure how he was supposed to introduce her. They weren't exactly together. "Edward? James," he called.

James smiled. "Anthony will come," he told Edward, though he wasn't really sure if he would or not. Anthony was still a kid... it was hard, sometimes, knowing how to treat your brother when you wanted to treat him like a son.
He heard Christopher call, and smiled. "At least he's home. We're in the study, Chris!" He called, louder, waiting for their brother to come find them.
This Christmas was going to be weird, certainly.

Hearing James' voice, Christopher led Andrea toward the study. He was slightly worried at what his brother's might think, but then again he never brought a girl back before. Whatever his brothers threw at him, Christopher felt sure he could handle it.
Making it to the study, he paused outside the door and turned to Andrea, giving her a smile. He walked through the door. "James! Edward," he said with his smile widening. "It's been awhile."

Andrea tilted her head toward Chris but followed him all the same, now she was a bit nervous in meeting such powerful men she actually clung to Chris' side a bit more despite herself.
When she saw Edward and James her jaw fell a little, it was a common enough reaction and she was quick to remedy it, but she was unprepared for the two adonis like creatures in the room. She knew Edward and James to be handsome from the pictures she saw of them in magazines and newspapers but she had always assumed that they paid extra to make sure they photographed well. Now looking at them in person the photographer should have been shot, although Andrea didn't think any camera could capture the raw masculinity and power each man seemed to exude.
She had always known that Christopher was a god and it was easy...well easier to hide her worshipful eyes where he was concerned because she had been around him for so long, and despite his large aura of whatever it was that made him seem so dangerously attractive, she felt safest with him. Such was the case now as she nearly fell behind his large shoulders to hide herself.
