Jackie wished she'd stop listing off her injuries. They were easier to pretend they didn't exist if she didn't hear them. But she also didn't want Dean to know. She didn't want him to know that the reason she had been floating in and out on the way here was because of the jostling movements of being carried and held close. She didn't want him to feel guilty.
"I can stay awake," she said, despite her heavy eyes.

Peter followed several other students toward the hospital wing. As he got there, the wing was filling up, but he rushed her to a place where he could put her down easily. He knew that Madam Pomfrey was extremely busy with those that were already there, but he held onto Adelaide's hand. "It's going to be okay," he whispered to her. "We're back at the school. Just please hold on." Peter was worried and he didn't care if his face showed it. Everything was still blurry as Peter carried her through the passageway and into the hospital wing. Her head was pounding and it felt like it was going to split open any moment. The noise of the crowded room did not help her headache any but she held on tightly to peter's hand, knowing he would take care of her. "My head hurts, Peter."

He swallowed, wanting to take the pain away from Adelaide. He didn't like seeing her hurt. "Everything will be fine. You'll be taken care of in a few minutes, I promise." Peter attempted to make her feel better. He wasn't sure what exactly happened to her, but he knew that whatever it was would be healed and then Adelaide would be back on her feet and smiling. Peter blushed slightly as he thought about her smiling at him.
Holding onto her hand, Peter leaned down and kissed it shyly. "Just stay here with me and talk to me."

There were so many people here, she'd never seen the hospital wing so crowded. Often times she had wondered why it needed to be so large, as there was never more than one or two students in at a time. But it appeared to be well planned out, and it made Adelaide nervous that this sort of thing might have been anticipated by the castle's builders. How many other times had this room been filled to capacity?
She tried to keep her head straight and she looked around to gauge the others in the room. How badly were they hurt compared to her? She wasn't even bleeding, aside from a few scratches on her arm. She just had a lump on her head. "Is that Professor Black? Who's she with?"

Glancing around the room, students were still coming in. He noticed that James was there with Robin. Peter thought about going to go see them after Adelaide was healed. He then looked toward Professor Black as Adelaide mentioned it. "Yeah," he said. "She's with a man named Tonks, I think." Peter remembered that it was the man that made Andromeda cry. He looked curiously at them, then back to Adelaide. "James and Robin are here too." Peter wondered about if his other friends were alright. He didn't see Lily anywhere, nor Sirius or Remus.

Alenna, would you go to the Owlery and send a message to St. Mungo's? I have a feeling I am going to need a few more healers to help out."quote] "Alright Madame Pomfrey," Alenna said. She hurried past the groups of students waiting for help and up to the owlery. She scribbled a note as legible as possible to send to St. Mungos. " Hogsmeade Attacked By Death Eaters. Madame Pomfrey wished for healing assistence. ASAP" Then she attached the letter to an owl and sent it on its way. "Hurry," she said.

Jon was just doing a routine check around the hospital before scribbling a few things down in patient's charts. Things were going smoothly at the moment.
As he neared the nurse's desk, a nurse looked at him frantically. "Hogsmeade has been attacked. The school needs healers," she said hurriedly. Jon put down the chart he currently held. "Take care of the patient in room 232. He need's his daily medicine. I'll be back shortly."
Jon left St. Mungo's as quick as he could and arrived at the school shortly after. After making it to the school, his eyes widened slightly. Students were filling up the wing with all kinds of injuries. He made his way quickly over to Madam Pomfrey. "Madam Pomfrey," Jon said greeting her to let her know that he was there. He gave her a short nod of the head and walked over to the beds of students as he began to examine them.
His first bed was were a boy in green trimmed robes was by a girl he assumed was in Hufflepuff. "What exactly happened to her," Jon asked calmly.

Adelaide didn't have much of an ear for gossip and so she had no idea who Tonks was. She simply assumed he was someone injured in the attack and in need of a healer's care. She was glad that Peter had spotted James. She knew Peter was worried for his friends, so seeing that one was here must have made him feel better. She held onto Peter's hand and said," let's see how they're doing. Is Robin hurt badly?"

"We'll find out in a little bit. James looks like he's talking to her about something. I don't know if I want to bother them," Peter said. He did want to find out if Robin was hurt badly, but at the moment with everything going on in the Hospital Wing, it probably wasn't a good time to try to get over there.
He continued to gaze over there. "I don't know how badly she's hurt but she looks like she's trying to stay awake." Peter squeezed Adelaide's hand. "What happened to make your head hurt?"

"I'm sure she'll be fine," Adelaide said, hoping to reassure him. She tried to see past the crowd to get a better look at Robin. Her leg looked pretty messed up but James was taking care of everything for her, like Peter was taking care of Adelaide. Their group were very chivalrous.
"I hit it on a wall. Well, I was pushed into the wall. When the Death Eater..."

His eyes widened slightly as she told how she was hurt. "You don't have to finish, it's alright," Peter said holding on to her hand. "Soon we'll be out of here and we can hang out if you want. Maybe go get dinner, or just go sit down." Peter was going to attempt to give her a reason to smile. He found himself having a crush on Adelaide. He sort of figured that out a couple days ago, but today he was sure of it.
"We could even play a game of wizard's chess although I'm no good at it at all."

Peter was too kind, and too quick. He changed subjects almost seamlessly and she was already laughing. "I think with a head injury I'm sure to lose no matter how bad you are. But yes, that sounds like fun. And a nice distraction. But, I don't have my own set. I've played with my dad's before, we can borrow his if you'd like. Or, no. I'd rather not see him or mum today. If they find out what's going on, they won't let me out of their sight for weeks. Then we'll never get to play."

"I'll get my set later, after you get out of here. We could play for however long you want to," Peter said smiling. Adelaide's laughter was enough to make him smile no matter what kind of mood he would be in.
"If you want, I could go with you to see them. They might not react like the way you think they might. I know that they would probably be worried, but if I went with you, maybe it would be that bad." Peter looked at Adelaide shyly. Her father did intimidate Peter a little bit, but he would stand strong for her.

That did sound better, having Peter there. Maybe they wouldn't be quite so bad. They loved her so much, if they had known she was sitting in the Hospital Wing right now, Merlin help her. She'd be smothered to death by hugs. "We'll see. I'd much rather talk about how badly you're going to beat me at Wizard's Chest right now."

Peter laughed. "I really am quite horrible at the game, but I do like playing it," he said. "I doubt that I will beat you, because you'll catch on pretty fast and beat me. I promise I wouldn't be letting you win." He grinned. He really was pretty bad at the game, but it was probably his most favorite game.
He learned how to play by watching people play. Peter did practice from time to time, but he didn't really get any better.

He did feel guilty, knowing that while she had all those broken bones, he had held on to her. He caused her more pain, and Dean frowned. "Jackie, I'm sorry. I should have just levitated you back to the school," he said. "Why didn't you say anything?"

"Don't worry about it, dear," Madam Pomfrey said to Dean. "Just help her drink this potion," she said, handing him a cup. "She should drink all of it. I need to run into the back and get another potion for her lungs. When I get back, I'll need to heal the bones, then give her the other potion, OK?"
She quickly dashed off in the back, stopping quickly to thank Jon for coming in from St. Mungo's to help out.

Jackie looked to him and saw the guilt plainly in his eyes.
"It didn't hurt," Jackie said, not even really lying about it. She hurt too much anyway that a little extra jostling was easy to deal with as long as she felt the safety of his arms. Besides, this was Jackie and she hated admitting pain of any kind.
"It's okay, Dean."

Adelaide laughed though it hurt her head. She was trying to be strong so she didn't even wince at the sharp pain. "That's very sweet. And I promise I won't just let you lose either."

Erica was quick to attention, she attempted a few spells to help Eve settle comfortably, then went to other students asking what was wrong. It was nice that she knew a few basic healing spells and what potions did what, but for the seriously injured she put a red tag at the end of the bed indicating that they were the priority.
She was already exhausted and glanced at Madame P. How did the woman do this so consistently?
