Luke left his apartment and headed for the local Nightclub. It had just opened, so he thought that he would check it out. Work was just moving along. After all, there were so many things going on around the school because of a student dying, and not to mention what was going on with the muggles.
Luckly, Luke had time to himself for a moment. It always seemed that his mind was always turning, but now he was able to take a break. He could unwind and just relax.
Entering the bar, he looked around. He must have gotten there early because there wasn't a lot there. Luke leaned casually against the bar and ordered a drink.

Thalia had such a hard time keeping herself from getting bored. She should have been resting. Or looking for some work, or any number of things, but she had really liked the new club when she was there with Ursula, and decided to go back to see how it was not on opening night.
She smiled seeing someone at the bar, and slid up next to him. "What's a nice guy like you doing in a place like this?"

Slowly drinking from his glass, Luke observed the people. It was always amusing to see their antics.
He turned to the girl that appeared beside him and he smiled. "Well, I thought I would come check out the place and have a few drinks, then go back home." Luke finished off his glass. "What about you miss? A pretty lady such as yourself shouldn't be out alone."

Nat grinned. "Would you care to remedy that and be my company for a little while?"
She had used that line on men before and it always worked. Luke, of course, was different, and the line amused her this time.
While she waited for his answer, she ordered a drink for herself.

Luke looked as if he was contemplating Nathalia's offer. "Hm. Well, since you are alone and you might be vulnerable, I suppose I should, in order to keep you safe. So, it will be an honor to be in your company." He grinned and gave a slight bow.
"How have things been going for you?"

"Vulnerably," Nathalia answered with a slight laugh. "No, they've been good. Have you missed me?" She asked, raising her eyebrows and looking like a "no" from him would break her heart.
(Eh.. sorry so short)

He nearly laughed at the look on her face. Nathalia knew how to get him to bend to whatever she wanted him to say, however Luke was getting to were that look didn't really affect him anymore.
"I would be a liar if I said no," Luke said before taking a drink from his glass. "I've missed having you nagging me every now and again." There was a teasing in his voice.

"Well, in that case, here I am to nag," Lia laughed, holding her arms out to her side as if presenting herself.
"So... fill me in. What have you been up to, what have I missed, girlfriend, all that good stuff," she said, taking a sip of her drink as it was placed in front of her.

This time, Luke didn't hide his laughter. "It's good to have you back Lia," he said smiling. "I haven't been up to anything really. Just working in the Ministry. Things are a little hetic around there." Luke couldn't really speak much of his job, and Nathalia knew that. "Sadly, no girlfriends. I haven't had any, although there is this one girl I like, but it's near impossible that she would like me back. Before you you say anything, I know for a fact that it will be impossible that she would like me back. Just trust me."
He knew that Nathalia would probably tell him that he shouldn't say anything like that, but Luke knew the answer to that already. He would continue to try to get the woman to notice him like he noticed her, but he wasn't sure how that was going to happen. "Other than that, life has been kind of boring. What about you Lia? What are all the interesting things you've done?"

Nat just nodded like she knew what he was talking about. It was his work; he couldn't talk about it, and she couldn't ask questions. She accepted it.
"Nope, I'm not saying a word about my life until you tell me a little more about this girl. Who is she? What does she look like? Why is it impossible that she'd like you? You know. All the girly things I think you should share with me before I believe you or not."

He sighed. Nathalia was stubborn, and she was true to her word. She wouldn't speak about her unless he told her about the girl.
"Well, I do work with her. Her name is Fiona, and she has dark brown hair. She's gorgeous, but she doesn't think twice about me. I'm just another person she works with. After all, she follows our boss around like a puppy or whatnot, so that's how I know that she doesn't like me back. Although, I can't help but still like her."

Nathalia half frowned. "Well... it's kind of hard to beat the boss. And I've heard rumors he's a catch..." She was always honest. She had heard that the head of the department was quite a looker from others who had seen him, even though she never had.
"Anyway, does he show an interest in her?"

Luke couldn't help but roll his eyes. "I've heard that too, but then again I don't really judge men like that." He knew that there was no way in the world Fiona would ever look at him the way she looked at Augustus. Luke wasn't 'pretty' enough for any kind of attention like that from her.
"I don't know. After she walks over to him, I usually just turn my back and don't watch. I don't care to watch her drooling all over him."

Nat laughed. "That bad, hm?" She asked. "She'll get bored eventually. No matter how smitten we are... we can only go so long being ignored. I'm assuming he's ignoring her. He might be really dense and just not notice, though. Or maybe you're seeing something that doesn't exist. I believe you, though."

He scoffed. "Oh I don't think that she'll get bored," he replied. "She hasn't gotten bored yet, and from what I've heard, he's pretty entertaining." Luke ordered a refill on his drink. "Oh, I'm not seeing something that is not there. Just about anyone can see it. But, I suppose I should just get over it." He gave a shrug.
"Now I've told you about her, tell me about you."

"Oh, fine," Nathalia rolled her eyes, knowing to drop the subject. It wasn't really fair. She didn't know this Fiona girl, but she wished the best for Luke, and if he liked this girl... well, it was a shame she wouldn't look his way. "We might have to come up with a plan, though."
She took another drink and shrugged. "I got bored in the States. So I came home for a little while. That's boring, isn't it?"

A small laugh came from Luke. "You and your plans," he said with a shake of his head. He wanted to try this one on his own. If Fiona wasn't interested, then she wasn't interested. He wasn't going to force anything on her.
"No, that doesn't really sound boring. It sounds a lot better than working all the time." Luke gave a shrug. "Times are changing and there are new and bigger threats out there. The murder at the school is just the beginning. The Ministry is being trashed by the Daily Prophet, it's ridiculous. So, no what you've done doesn't sound boring. It sounds much better than what is going on here."

Ryland had been quiet lately, too quiet, and he was hungry. Nightclubs and bar were his favorite places to hunt. He had a thing for the young and the beautiful, and London and Hogsmeade's nightlife were full of young and beautiful creatures.
Strolling into the Enchanted night club like he owned the place, he eyed the clientel and smiled. It would be a good night.
Coming up to the bar on the other side of Nathalia, he ordered a drink, letting his eyes wander her body from his vantage point.

"Oh, well, I'm so glad I came back," Nat deadpanned. What a terrifically happy place England was becoming. She so badly wanted to ask what he did to stop what was happening, if his department did anything for it at all. But she knew better, and kept her mouth shut.
"I made you something in class, by the way. An art class I was taking. It's a painting."

"I'm glad you came back. I needed some kind of sanity back," said Luke grinning. With Nathalia back, he could possibly be more relaxed than just trying to busy himself with his work all the time.
"A painting? Oh, I bet it would look grand on my wall in my apartment. My walls are pretty bare because I never did take the time to put anything up."
