"Don't joke," she told him seriously. "It was torture."
She sighed and put her arms around his middle again and remembered just how perfect they fit together. It took them six years to figure this out. Go figure.
"Im glad I had you meet me here, then. This was an appropriately romantic, place."

Dean kissed her head. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to put you in torture. Although, I thought you would figure out that it was you. I tried to tell you without actually coming out and saying it."
His smile reappeared. "Oh, I think you had all of this planned out anyway, hence why you wanted to meet me here." Dean was teasing with her again. "But, on a serious note, I agree with you. It is a romantic place. I thank you for coming here. If I didn't think that you would have slapped me, I would have kissed you in the room of requirement when we ended up in the floor."

"I almost kissed you then, too," She replied softly. She was never one for keeping things secret, especially from Dean. "But I was still convinced it was another girl and I didn't want to do that to you. But since I can..."
She leaned her head back, giving him a look that implied that she wanted to kiss him again. She figured kissing him would feel as natural as holding his hand, and maybe even boring, but it sent sparks through her. It felt natural, but exciting and new as well.

His dimples showed as Jackie tilted her head backwards. Dean leaned his head closer to hers. He hadn't felt awkward when Jackie kissed him the first time, nor when he kissed her a second time. It felt right, like they had did it all along.
Chuckling a little, he closed the distance between then and kissed her. Carefully, he lifted her up slightly as he deepened the kiss. It seemed that Dean was apologizing for torturing her.

Dean was so tall, she thought to herself when they kissed again. She wondered when he finally figured it out, or realized, but she wasn't going to ask.
This... whatever the reason it happened now... this made her feel just as alive as one of he adrenaline kicks.
When the kiss ended, she bit her lip and smiled, blushing for the second time. "You taste as good as you smell." He tasted like spices and pumpkin.

"Hm. Maybe it's because of this," he said pulling out a tube of chapstick, which was Pumpkin Spice. Mum thought it would be a good thing if she sent me this too. My lips tend to get dry when the weather gets cold and this stuff helps them not get bad. I dunno where mum finds this, but she likes to get the different kinds of the chapstick to go around the seasons. I'm not sure why she ever really bought me the flavor kind instead of just the plain kind." Dean grinned sheepishly.

"Mmm," Jackie said, licking her lips a little. Granted, she did it to tease him just slightly, now that it was safe to tease him in that way. But the flavor really did taste great on his lips.
"I think that's adorable," she told him. "And I can totally see your mum doing that. Can I request peppermint for you for winter?"

He started to laugh. "I don't see why you couldn't. I'm sure that my mum would love to get an owl from you. She sent me a note in my last owl asking if I asked you out yet, so she'll be happy to hear."
Dean shook his head in amusement. "You should request it soon, because I'm sure that she'll send me some soon, after all, winter is not that far away." He winked at her.

"Yeah, I need to send her an owl. It's been a while," Jackie said, making a mental note to write the woman. She was like a second mother to her. Honestly, both of their families were interchangeable.
"Hm," she added, considering this. "You realize my brothers aren't going to like you anymore."

"That's what you think," Dean said grinning. "Apparently it was obvious that I liked you, because they noticed it. I got an owl, along with my mother's, that were from your brothers. If you don't believe me, I can always show it to you. They asked how things were with us, and if I told you yet." He gave her a wink. "But we'll see how things are whenever I see them."
His grin was still on his face. "And you know that my mum is going to love you even more than she already does."

Jackie's jaw dropped. "No! My brothers are as dense as they come! How did they know before me?" Then, she narrowed her eyes at Dean. "Was I the last one to know?" She asked. She was only teasing, she wasn't angry. But she was slightly surprised that her brothers had seen it.
"Well, if they didn't threaten you in the OWL, then I think you're okay. And I adore your Mum, so it's all right. And you know my mum would adopt you if she could."

Again, he laughed. "Was I the last one to know that you liked me back?" Dean pushed her hair away from her face. "And I adore your mum. She's like my second mum. At least I don't have anyone that is going to threaten to beat me up because we're going out now."
It was nice to finally have a happy moment with her, while they were finally together. Jackie meant more to Dean than she could ever imagine.

"No, I think I was the last one to know I liked you back," Jackie said, completely serious, and she frowned when she said that.
"Were we really one of those dense couples? I thought we picked up on things pretty well." She rested her head against his chest, breathing him in and enjoying the fact that she could do this this way.
"Are you hungry, Dean?"

"I wasn't sure that you liked me, so we found out last together." He winked and then moved his hands up to the corners of her mouth to pull it up into a smile.
Dean chuckled. "I guess we were. We did pick up on things pretty well, except for the fact that we did like each other. However, I think maybe that is what pushed us for what happened a few moments ago." He put his chin on her head, and then he chuckled again. "I guess my stomach is growling again. Or maybe it just likes you being near it." He grinned. "I'm always hungry. Are you hungry?"

"A little," she answered. She wasn't as hungry as Dean always was, but she could certainly eat. Something from the Hot Panini sounded fantastic, but she'd let him pick the place. He usually read her mind anyway, so she was sure he'd end up picking there anyway.
"Let's go grab some lunch and figure out what to do for the rest of the day."

"You got it Ms. Frazier," he said keeping his arm around her. "The Hot Panini sound good to you? I think that is what I've been wanting to eat for awhile." Dean led her out of the observatory. Now, the observatory would be an important place to both of them. "And I haven't the slightest idea of what we should do for the rest of the day, so I think I'm going to leave that up to you. You can drag me wherever you want to go, of course after we eat."

Jackie almost laughed and smiled to herself. "The Panini is a great idea, Dean."
Nothing changed. That was the answer to her question... nothing changed between them at all. They were still Jackie and Dean, except now they could kiss. They were perfect for each other. She could be Dean's courage, and he was her intuition.
She walked with him, her arm still around his middle, into the cold air of Hogsmeade, and pulled herself closer to him.

He welcomed her to come as close as she wanted to him. Dean tightened his hold on her, and walked with a sparkle in his eye, along with a smile playing on his lips. The weather was cold, and the cold nipped at Dean's face, but he did as much as he could to keep the breeze from blowing on Jackie too much.
He opened the door for them, and then he ushered them both into the warmth of the Hot Panini. "Shall we take a booth or table," he asked looking down at her.

"Booth," She replied with a nod and lead him over to one in the back corner. "And I am definitely getting soup. It's the warmest thing they have," Jackie added with a little laugh.
"I keep thinking how thrilled my mum is going to be with this... us, I mean," she murmured as a waitress dropped off two menus for them. "What are you getting?"

Dean made his eyebrows raise as Jackie led them over to a booth in the back corner. "Oh, so you're taking me to the back corner are you? We haven't even been dating for a day yet and you're already taking me to corners. Shame on you," he said teasingly and with a smile. He slid into the seat across from Jackie.
"My mum will be thrilled too." Dean looked over the menu. "I think I'll take potato soup and a ham and cheese sandwhich, along with butterbeer."
