Regina finished smoothing out his hair. "Alright, I'm finished," she announced so that he could stand up straight again. "You're shoes were on your window sill?" She wasn't surprised that his shoes ended up there. "You know, sometimes I think that in your roommates may play tricks with you. But I'll help you find your brush today." She gave a laugh. Days like this were ones she looked forward too. She wasn't really shy around him and could open up.

Although it was possible that some of the guys in his dorm played tricks on him, it was also just as likely he'd kicked them off and that's where they'd landed. Thane wasn't sure... he couldn't remember taking them off either way. So he shrugged not knowing why his shoes had ended up there.
He raised his head and laughed with her, at least she didn't mind that he lost things and she was always willing to help him find stuff or remember things for him. "Thanks, I just hope I don't loose it again once we find it."

"Well, maybe I can keep a brush with me, just in case you lose yours again and you can just use mine," Regina offered. "Although we'll turn your room upside down until we can find it. We might be able to find books while we're at it." She grinned. "You know, I don't really feel inclined to walk and trip over myself while we head up to the school, so you know you want to carry me on your back. I'll find some way of repaying you, for it." Regina had a sudden burst of courage to ask and didn't really think about what she said before blurting it out.

Thane didn't notice as a huge grin spread across his face. He didn't mind carrying her at all as a matter of fact it sounded like a great idea to him too. "Would you rather have a piggyback ride or have me carry you?" Both sounded good to him, either way he could help her from falling and get to hold her. It was a win win situation as far as he could see. "And you can repay me when you loan me a brush." he laughed.

Thane's grin was contagious. A grin spread across her face as well. Either way was good with her, but she decided that she was going to make up her mind today. "Let's go for piggyback ride this time, then next time I don't feel inclined to walk and trip over myself you can carry me! That sounds logical, doesn't it?" Regina was sure that a pink tint was permanently on her cheeks whenever she was around him. "Alright that sounds like a deal. Are we ready to go search for your brush?"

Thane knelt down as he said "ready! hop on, your carriage awaits!" He waited until she climbed onto his back and then he reached around go hold her thighs which were wrapping around his waist before standing up. His hands were slightly oversized for his body, since he hadn't quite grown into them yet, but it gave him a better hold on her legs as he lifted her up. She was not heavy though and he lifted her easily and carried her off towards the school, leaving his book on the grass forgotten.

Regina laughed and jumped on his back with care, just so she wouldn't knock him over. She wrapped her legs around him and her arms around his neck. Naturally, she didn't have a problem with him carrying her at all. "If I become too heavy, let me know," she said before he stepped off.
A smile was on her face as she rested her chin on his shoulder. "Hold on," she said remembering his book. Regina pulled out her wand as Thane was holding onto her. "Accio book," she said. She caught the book and tucked away her wand and held onto the book while one arm remained around his neck. "Alright, we're set. Onward Mr. Scotts."

Thane chuckled grateful that she'd remembered for him. "Thanks Gina, you always save me. And you're not heavy just hold on tight." He laughed as he half walked and half trotted off. He carried her all the way to the Ravenclaw tower and even up the stairs. He waited for the riddle before answering correctly and then carried her into the common rooms and right on up to his room so they could begin the unenviable task of trying to find Thane's brush.

"Hey, it's my job superman," said Regina. "It's a fair trade for what you do for me, don't you think?" She tightened her hold on him as he sped up, but she made sure she didn't choke him. Regina was fairly comfortable as he carried her and of course she didn't mind it at all.
Once they entered his room, Regina slid off his back and looked around. "I'm setting your book on your bed," she said looking at him so he would know where she put it, although he would probably forget. "Now, where do you-" she walked around his bed but hit the floor as she tripped. Regina slowly got up and looked at what she tripped over. "I think I found one of your missing books," she said as her head coming up on the opposite side of his bed.

"oh hey you found last year's charms book! I've been looking for that!" He laughed as he read the title. He had a habit of keeping old books on hand just for reference of course. He would have helped Regina up from the floor, but he was kinda used to her being there after all and he was sure she'd find more stuff while she was down there so he decided to just let her crawl around.. he only got a little distracted watching... though his mind was already thinking about that one spell he'd been looking for.. he went to the book she had just set down and started thumbing through it without thinking.. though he was still half watching her crawl around grinning.

After setting the book on his bed, Regina returned to looking underneath his bed. She was already on the floor, so it didn't hurt her to continue looking. She didn't even notice that Thane was watching her. Reaching under his bed, she pulled out a crumpled piece of paper and another book.
Sighing, Regina looked up to Thane. A questioning look come across her face as she looked at him. Why was he grinning? "What," she asked innocently. When he didn't answer right away, she threw the crumpled up paper at him with a mischievous grin spread across her face.

Thane laughed when she threw the paper at him. He didn't answer her though he would have been too embarrassed. Then he opened up the crumbled paper and immediately blushed. He crumpled it up more and tried to hide it in his pocket before Regina noticed what was on it. He'd forgotten about that too. He hoped he didn't have any more like that in his room.

"Fine don't answer me," she mumbled jokingly. Regina watched him open the paper only to blush and crumple it up again. She raised an eyebrow and looked at him curiously. "What was that," Regina asked before looking back under his bed. Without any luck, she didn't find his brush.
She stood up and stepped infront of him since he was standing in front of his trunk. She still looked at him curiously. "Don't mind if I look in your trunk do you?"

He was too busy blushing "just some.. doodles" with your name all over it. He wasn't about to tell her that last part though. When she asked to see in his trunk, he just kept right on grinning.. "be my guest..." there were all sorts of things in his trunk including all of his clean clothing, undergarments and sweaters and class uniforms and robes.. anything a guy would normally have in his trunk along with other things like books, scraps of paper, odds and ends, notebooks, a scarf.. and a few things he was sure he'd forgotten were in there.

Thane sure was grinning a lot, but Regina didn't make any comment over it. She knelt down and opened his trunk. As she rambled around in his trunk, her hand landed on his hair brush and on a piece of paper. She looked at the paper with her head tilted sideways. All she noticed was a C and a heart.
Standing back up, she kept his brush in her hand. "Found it," she said once she closed his trunk. Regina smiled and realized how close she was to him. She took a step away shyly and put it on his night stand. "See if you can't remember to leave it here."

"oooh Thanks! You're the best, Regina." He took the brush off the night stand and walked over to the mirror and brushed his hair out. Then just as he finished he thought of something and forgetting his brush he set it on a nearby seat and walked over to Regina. "Hey I just thought of something. We need to get you a dress for the dance!"

She watched as he brushed his hair and noticed that he sat it down in a chair. Regina looked up to him with a smile on her face. She motioned to where he left his hair brush before she responded to his comment. "That does need to be done. While I'm looking for a dress, you can be looking for dress robes. However first, I think you need to look over in that chair." Regina did her best to hide her laugh that wanted to surface.

"Huh? Wha?" Thane turned to follow the direction of her finger towards a chair. His eyes landed on his brush. "My brush! oops.... sorry." He dutifully went over and picked it up, chagrin on his face. He carried it over and set it on his nightstand. "there we go!"

Regina let out a laugh that she muffled with her hand as he went to go pick up his brush. Once he returned his brush to the nightstand, she reached out and patted his shoulder. "Good job," she said grinning. "Now we just have to do that with every thing else." Regina let her hand fall back down to her side and picked up the two books that were on his bed and sat those on the nightstand as well.

Thane watched her put two books on his nightstand and wondered briefly how many of his books she planned to fit on the nightstand. All around his bed in corners and against walls were stacks of books. He scratched his head unconsciously messing up his newly brushed hair as he watched and wondered.
