spark up like fireworks (Thane)

[Regina Curry]

"It means that you're the only one that doesn't mind me being me," said Regina. "And you're the only one who took the time to get to know me and you don't mind that I'm clumsy. Any other person would more than likely point and laugh. It's what the other guys do. They don't stop and help me up like you do." She smiled shyly.

Thane was going to be only one that she wanted to dance with because she was comfortable with him unlike others. With him around, she had all the confidence she needed.

[Thane Scotts]

"I would never make fun of you, Gina.. not ever. Not in a million years. And helping you is one thing I'll never forget to do either." He had an impulsive thought and quickly leaned over and kissed her cheek and immediatly blushed again. "I still think you are a beautiful dancer no matter what you say though." And he would always be there to help catch her when she fell or pick up when when she was down. He knew it like he knew he would breathe each day when he awoke. "Besides, I get teased just as much only for different things."

[Regina Curry]

Her cheeks went from a pink tint to a deep red within point two seconds. Never in her life had she received any kind of kiss other than from her parents of course. Her eyes looked down at the grass before moving back up to his. "Only because I have a wonderful teacher," she replied.

Regina tilted her head to the side. "We're both going to try and get the teasing to cut down. We'll help each other and I can use my strengths to help you with your weaknesses and you can help me with yours. "

[Thane Scotts]

"Sounds like the best kind of deal to me." He was silent for a time before he reached out and held her hand. He considered her for what seemed like a long time, though it was likely only moments. He was thinking... he was usually thinking and that was part of his problem. He was normally thinking so much he forgot other things. But this time he was thinking about Regina. "Gina, have you ever thought about what you want to do when you grow up?" They were only 14 & 15, but in two years she'd be graduating. And he'd be alone again.

[Regina Curry]

She felt his hand take hers, but she didn't pull her hand away. It didn't feel awkward, but she didn't make a comment of it. Regina just held his hand as well. She watched as he seemed to be thinking. Her thoughts seemed to take over as things were a comfortable slience. She wondered what he was thinking about and part of her wished that she could just peer into his thoughts for just a second, but she stopped thinking as Thane spoke.

"I haven't really decided what I want to do," said Regina. "I guess I'm going to keep my job options open. I do know that I want to help people, but I'm not sure if I want to become a healer. I know that I wouldn't do so well as an Auror, and I don't mean because of my clumsyness. I guess I haven't really thought too much about it. What about you Thane? What do you want to do?"

[Thane Scotts]

"I am not really sure yet, I'm just starting to consider options.. I mean I still have an extra year after you graduate so I have a little longer to decide. I'm still torn between teaching, healing or maybe work for the ministry. I think I'd enjoy working with enchanting things or breaking curses maybe.. something that I can use my mind and solve problems and help people." He knew it was a vague answer but it was the truth, he really didn't know yet but he did want to use his mind to help others... maybe a teacher, healer or researcher, very likely. He even considered that one day he might try to get orgainzed enough to write a book on something. But he still had a lot to learn before he'd find where he fit in the best.

[Regina Curry]

"Whatever you choose to do, I'm sure that you will be great," said Regina. "We just have to make sure that you have slightly more improved organizatonal skills." She gave him a teasing smile. "Maybe you'll become something big and I'll be your assistant or something and I could make sure your work is where you can find it." The thought of that was slightly amusing. However, the thought of her graduating a year earilerwas sort of sad, although Regina did have Hallie. That was a good way of looking at it. Who knows where her and Thane's friendship would be in two years. It could be were he found him a nice girlfriend and then he and Regina sort of grew apart.

[Thane Scotts]

Thanes thoughts of the future were in a completely different direction and all of them included her somehow but he'd never admit to that, of course. So much could happen or not happen between now and then. Three years was a long time away still, but he enjoyed thinking about it anyways. The best way to get what you want is to make sure you aquire the knowledge you need before you ever need it. And Thane was sure of one thing, but he still had a few years to uncover what that thought really meant.

"I think I'd be lost without you. I know everything I own would be lost too." He grinned light heartedly. "I'll probably end up walking around Hogwarts half naked my last year!" He laughed.

[Regina Curry]

She started to laugh. "I'll be sure to check in with you sometimes to see how things are going in your final year, I promise," Regina said calming her laughter. The image of poor Thane walking around half dressed was adorable because of the look on his face once he realized what was going on.

"We'll make sure to find you again so you won't be entirely lost." Now, how was she going to get around without tripping or doing something else clumsy without him there? "I think I'm going to be more lost than you will be. Who's going to be there if something is about to break because I accidently knocked it over or if I trip? Maybe most of the stuff in my apartment that I hope to find when I get older will be plastic or something non-breakable."

[Thane Scotts]

"Aha! but I have a plan for that see! I read about a charm that makes things unbreakable! We'll just have to learn that one first. And I'm sure we'll think of something, maybe by then you won't be falling anymore anyways... especially if we keep practicing. I think that maybe in two years you'll outgrow being clumsy.. like that muggle story of the awkward duckling who turns into a graceful swan." I already think you're a swan, Regina he thought silently.

[Regina Curry]

"Do you have a plan for everything," she asked with a smile. It seemed that way. Of course Thane was naturally quick witted and she admired him for that. She was quick witted, but not like he was. "I dunno if I will grow out of it, but there's always hope. I've always been clumsy even as I was little. But, if you're there to push and catch me, I suppose it would be a gradual change."

She continued to look at him. "And who knows, maybe you'll gradually become slightly less forgetful."

[Thane Scotts]

"hahaha.. maybe." He doubted it.. unless he ever stopped thinking so much but one could hope anyways. "And if not I'll just have to keep you around forever, now won't I? I couldn' afford to loose everything my whole life. I'd probably loose myself. Kinda like that one time where two years ago when I was trying to read on my way to class and I manged to get lost on the third floor without even realizing it till you and Gwen managed to track me down." He was laughing about it now, but sadly at the time he hadn't even realized he'd been truely lost he'd managed to get so caught up in his book.

[Regina Curry]

"I'll more than likely be around anyway. Maybe so much that you'll get tired of it." Regina smiled again. "We'll figure something out." The memory of Thane being lost played through her memory. "I remember. It took us forever to find you! I remember not being able to find you on my own and I ran into your sister. That's when we both started looking. I was worried."

She shook her head. "It seems like everytime you lose something I find it. Either I trip over it or remember where you put it down."

[Thane Scotts]

"Yeah I noticed that," he chuckled remembering the many times she'd tripped over a book or something else he'd left on the floor for her to 'find' with her feet. Not intentionally of course, but it always seemed to work out like that for some reason. "Do you have some kind of Thane-sensor like my sis does?" he was laughing, both Regina and Gwen had an uncanny knack for finding his stuff.

[Regina Curry]

"I guess I do, and I guess you have a Regina-sensor. You seem to catch me before I fall, just like I keep finding your stuff." She laughed. Many times had she fell because she had found Thane's lost books, shoes, or whatever else was lost. "We make a pretty decent team, don't you think?"

Regina didn't mind if she fell when she found Thane's lost stuff, or if he was right there to catch her. That part was always a plus.

[Thane Scotts]

"Now that you mention it.. yeah I think we do make a good team.. maybe an unlikely underdog kind of team.. but defiantly a good one." He liked it that way too, it was comfortable for him and he really enjoyed their kind of teamwork. At least life would never be dull between them, and likely would never get old. And he happend to like catching her.

[Regina Curry]

"Exactly! And I don't think we'll ever have a dull moment," she said with a small giggle. "Something always happens, good or not so good. Either way we can get a laugh out of it." Regina gave him a wink. "Which reminds me, did you ever find your brush? I remember you couldn't find it yesterday."

[Thane Scotts]

Thane had not infact found his brush and to prove the point he lifted his hand, wiggled his fingers at her and then brushed his hand through his hair, silently explaining why his hair looked discheveled. "You mean this one? I didn't loose this one." He laughed.

[Regina Curry]

Regina laughed. "I take it you never did find your other brush," she said with a shake of her head. "Did you check in your trunk? Or under your bed?" When Thane lost things, they always ended up being in the oddest places. Regina reached up without a second thought and straightened out with her free hand. She liked the discheveled look on him, but she wanted the chance to touch his hair. Either way he wore his hair, it looked good.

[Thane Scotts]

Thane obediently ducked his head so she could attempt to fix the mess he'd made of it. He was grinning though and luckily he head was down so she couldn't see his wide grin. There were SOME advantages to loosing things... and this was one of them. His head still obediently down for her to fix since he was taller than her, he answered her through his grin, "umm.. I dunno.. I didn't see it when I found my shoes.. but then my shoes were on top of my window sill ... Who knows where I put it. Maybe you can help me look for it later?"
