Daniel walked into the classroom and looked around, taking a deep breath. He was subbing for the class until the old Muggle Studdies professor came back. He flicked his wand and a piece of chalk rose up, writing "Professor Daniel J. Tortuga" on the chalkboard in neat cursiave. He then turned to the door and waited for his students to join class.

Lani probably would have forgotten to come, had the new teacher not sent her a note reminding her. She would have been happier doing anything else, really, but at least this should be an easy class that she wouldn't have to pay much attention in. That was why she had signed up for it, after all.
She took a seat near the back, barely even acknowledging the professor with more than a nod.

Daniel saw his first student walk into his classroom. She didn't aknowledge him at all, just took a seat in the last row and nodded.
"Name and house Miss?" Daniel said.

"Evetts," she answered quickly, assuming all he really needed was her last name to check her off on the roster. "And I'm in Slytherin," she added, her voice going softer as she finally looked up at him.
Her sour mood dissipated instantly, just because she never really could be in a bad mood for too long at any one time.

Daniel smiled and checked off "Evetts, Leilani" on his roster. "Thank you Leilani," Daniel said, figuring that the students would prefer their first names more than the formalities of their last names. "And...let's see...10 points to Slytherin, for being the first student to class today," Daniel said cheerfully.

Lani took a moment before she smiled. "Oh. Thank you, Professor," she said.
She hated being the first one to class. Aside from the Ravenclaws, she didn't know anyone who liked being first. But maybe this was how Ravenclaws got all of their points.

Maxi walked in and found that she was only the second student there. She smiled and sat a couple of seats in front of Leilani Evetts. She read the professor's name on the board and then turned toward him.
"Hello Professor Tortuga," she said cheerfully.

Daniel's next student came in. A smiling Hufflepuff girl with long blonde hair. She sat a few seats in front of Leilani and then addressed Daniel.
"Hello Miss," He looked at his roster. "Miss Borale, is it?" he asked. he tried to know all of the Hufflepuff students, being head of house and all, and he hoped he guessed correctly.

Lance walked into class with his brother Josh, half pushing each other to be first into the room. They both looked to the instructor, but knowing the drill that usually happened with new subs or professors Josh spoke up and said "I'm Lance Jordan and this is my brother Josh... oh and Hufflepuff if you didn't guess." He said pointing to his button pinned to his robes that said "Hufflepuff supports Maxi Borale". Then he noticed Maxi and waved at their house champion.

Seth walked into class and sat next to Maxi. "Hey Max," he said, smiling. "Class hasn't started yet, has it?" He hoped it hadn't, he had already been chewed out by a teacher already for not arriving to class on time.
He looked up to the Professor, "Seth Inophen, it's pronounced Ee-no-fin, just incase you were wondering Professor Tortuga," Seth introduced himself. "And I'm Slytherin, fourth year."

Maxi waved to Lance and Josh cheerfully and smiled at their "Support Maxi" buttons. ((I don't think we're supposed to know who the champions are yet, but I'll go with it for now...))
when Seth entered the room, she smiled at him as he took a seat beside her. "No, you're not late, people just began to show up." She turned away but then turned back almost instantly. "Wait! I thought you were taking Divination!" she said, surprised that Seth was in Muggle Studdies.

"Yea, well, Muggle Studies would make my father more furious than Divination would," he said. That and you're in this class Maxi Seth thought. He blushed a bit and hoped that Maxi didn't notice.

((LOL I was going with the thought that this thread will take a while and therefor might have occurred the day after the ceremony... if not lemme know and i'll edit my earlier post. I'm just impatient LOL.))
Lance said hi to Seth as he came in, he knew he was one of Maxi's friends and that made him okay in his book. They had something in common actually as well.. they had their little group of friends who always stuck together, much like Lance had his. The strange part though was the fact that Seth, Maxi, Bek and Gage were all in different houses and Lance found that odd considering the steriotypes that existed. Lance went find a seat and waited hoping that Eve and Genevieve would show up soon.

Daniel ticked off the names on his list: Borale, Maxi; Jordan, Lance; Jordan, Josh; and Inophen, Seth.
Daniel was glad that his class was beginning to fill. He checked his watch. Soon they'd be able to get this show on the road.
"Everyone can take a seat wherever they'd like," Daniel announced. "We'll be starting up in a minute or two."

Genevieve had been wandering the halls, following the Grey Lady around for a bit. She found the ghost fascinating, but she wasn't very friendly. Once she disappeared into a wall, Genevieve was forced to turn around and head for class.
Walking into Muggle Studies, Genevieve broke into a smile as she saw Lance. "Hi!" she said happily as she went to sit next to him.

Genevieve would have rather sat and flirted with Lance, but she turned around to face the teacher. "Oh, um, it's Genevieve. Danforth," she replied with a giggle. "This is Muggle studies, right? I get lost a lot."

"Yes Miss Danforth," Daniel laughed quietly. "This is Muggle Studies." He let Genevieve turn back and talk to Lance and he watched the other students interact for a bit, not minding if it got a bit noisy. Danile would wait for a couple more students before beginning.

Lance grinned as Genevieve entered the room, she was so pretty... and he didn't doubt for one moment that she most likely had gotten distracted and lost on the way to class. He thought it was adorable and waved her over to come sit with himself and Josh.. it was the one class that Eve wasn't in that the three of them were.
