Class One [Muggle Studies]

Josh 'stretched' his arms out as Genevieve entered the room. She was pretty, he had to hand her that. Lance looked like he zoned out and was in Lance and Genevieve fantasy land, so Josh took his stretched out arm and hit Lance on the back of the head before crossing his arms on his desk. He flashed a grin to his brother. Muggle Studies was one of the classes Eve didn't take, so it was just going to be the three of them. As long as Lance didn't start snogging Genevieve, then everything would be alright.

(And I thought I was easily distracted... Josh, you've just been showing up to classes without having signed up to take any classes, lol)

Genevieve smiled. "Hi, Joshy!" she said with a cute little giggle. "And Lancey! Both of my boys are here... Pity Eve's not here, too! But we'll have fun, anyway, right?" She looked at them both happily, always comfortable when she was with them. It was like they were a little family.

Lance couldn't help but smile when Genevieve entered the room, she lit the whole place up just by being there and then.. "ow! hey what was that for? I..." Lance got distracted again as Genevieve flipped her hair over her shoulders in her normal half distracted way .."Hi Viv... you look very pretty today." It was a simple statement but true and he loved to compliment her, especially when it made her smile at him more. "of course we'll have fun with you here, don't we always?" He moved to make space for Genevieve between himself and his brother to sit down.

[Genevieve Danforth]

Genevieve beamed at him. She always loved when he told her she looked pretty, even though she already knew it. He had a way of making her feel special. She'd always especially loved that he called her Viv. Most people she had known had always called her Gen. So when Lance called her Viv, it made her feel like it was his special name for her.

"Thank you," she said sweetly. "And both of you are looking sexy today... I'm the luckiest girl in the world to be sitting between you!"

Lance reached out to touch her hair as she sat down, he hadn't meant to but he couldn't help himself. He wanted to touch her skin but her golden hair would have to do. "That must make you lucky all the time then cause that's usually where you end up and I like you next to me... wouldn't have you anywhere else." That last was spoken almost softly, tenderly.

Josh hid his laughter as his brother was speaking to Genevieve. Lance was completely smitten with her. Of course, Josh still haboured feelings for her, but he was good at hiding them. He really needed Eve to be in this class, but she had opted not to take it. As long as the two next to him didn't start snogging, he would be just fine.

He shot a glance towards Lance, but doubted he noticed. "You know Genvieve, I personally think that Lance is zoning out there. You shouldn't be so mean to Lance like that. It's hard enough for him to pay attention as it is." A playful grin spread across his face.

Lance gave a contrite look, "hey I can't help it if she's distracting me... and you don't see me complaining about it either." Genevieve might be easily distracted but she easily distracted him too. He looked over at his brother who was also looking at her and smirked, "you can't blame me for wanting to make a beautiful girl smile can you?"

[Daniel Tortuga]

Daniel figured that whoever would come now would be late. He stood from his desk, walked to the front of the class, and cleared his throat.
"Okay everyone, settle down, settle down," he smiled. "Let's start class now, shall we?"

[Leilani Evetts]

Thank Merlin, Lani thought. The Hufflepuffs were just too... happy and sunshine out their ears today. Maybe it was just that goup of them, or maybe she was in a mood, as she usually didn't have a problem with any of the houses.

She sat up straighter and pulled out her quill.

[Daniel Tortuga]

Daniel waited until everyone was quiet and he had their attention. He took a deep breath and smiled, choosing to go right into starting the lesson. "Wands away," he ordered to anyone who may have gotten their wands out. "Muggles don't use magic and neither will we in this class." He looked around.

"Okay," he said. "Who took this class because they thought it'd be an easy class?" He asked. This was purely because he was curious. He had taken Muggle Studies for the same reason when he was at Hogwarts.

[Leilani Evetts]

Well, that was exactly the reason Lani had taken the class. But there was no way she was going to admit to that. Besides, questions like that were always followed up with something along the lines of, "Well, this class is not going to be easy."

She remained quiet, not even bothering to glance at the other students.

[Seth Inophen]

"Five galleon's he says something like "Well, this class won't be easy"" Seth whispered to Maxi.
Truthfully, he hadn't even considered whether or not the class was difficult. Seth took the class for two reasons:

Reason one: Maxi Borale was in the class
Reason two: He couldn''t wait to hear what his father, who hated all things muggle, had to say about it.

[Maxi Borale]

"Only five?" Maxi asked, giggling slightly. She gave Professor Tortuga the benifit of the doubt though. No teacher, even a substitute, would walk into that that easily.

"No way. If he says something different, you have to take me to Hogsmede this weekend and pay for everything I may or may not want," Maxi smiled sneekily.

[Seth Inophen]

"Fine, but it's the other way around if I'm right," Which he knew he would be. What kind of teacher would admit that his class was easy?

[Daniel Tortuga]

"Well, for those of you that did, you're probably right," Daniel laughed, seeing some of the surprised faces in front of him. "This class is both easy to pass, and easy to fail, so make sure you pay attention, wont you Mr. Inophen?" He asked the Slytherin boy who had turned to talk to Maxi, the Hufflepuff next to him. Daniel raised an eyebrow at the boy before turning back to the class.

"Now, Mr. Jordan," Daniel started. "Have you heard of the book "The Wizard of Oz"?" He asked. Then he realized that there were in fact, two Mr. Jordans. "Um, Lance Jordan," Daniel corrected. "Sorry about that."

[Kingsley Shacklebolt]

Kingsley came plowing down the hallway just outside of Muggle Studies. He had been in the Gryffindor common room studying and ended up being late for muggle studies. Coming to a screeching halt, panting and staring at the door he knew Professor Tortuga stood behind. Hopefully the Professor wouldnt take too many house points from Gryffindor for his tardiness, opening the door slowly he slipped inside the room and chose a chair in the back of the class hoping maybe the Professor might think he had been there the whole time.

Lani sighed and leaned back in her seat, watching as the Gryffindor as he tried to sneak into class.

She just wanted the class to start, or get over with. Something. She was getting bored to the point of inspecting her nails, and she hated to be that cliche and blonde.

[Lance Jordan]

Lance looked up as the teacher called his name. The wizard of oz.. yeah he'd heard of it.. though he didn't really care for the story. "Yeah the one where the wicked witch keeps trying to steal some magical artifact shoes from Dorothy until the girl uses a melting charm on the water before dousing the witch?"

[Daniel Tortuga]

"There's one way of looking at it," Daniel said. "Has anyone heard the muggle version?" He asked the class.

[Genevieve Danforth]

Genevieve raised her hand. "Ooh, I know. That's the whole "there's no place like home" thing, right? I watched the movie when I was a kid... the wicked witch was so scary! When I found out I was a witch, I cried for two days, thinking I was going to turn green and ugly!"
