Madam Hooch had no idea what the girl was talking about. She didn't know about why she had to lie to her boyfriend, or what her family problems were. But the explanation made sense, so she nodded. "I see," she said. "Well, you really should be careful wandering around the castle alone at night. Some of the ghosts are not as friendly as the others. Also, you know it is forbidden to leave the common room after bedtime." She patted the girl on the shoulder lightly. "I should give you a detention for this, but I won't... not this time. But don't let me catch you out here at this time of morning again, do you hear?"

Kris nodded, she turn to the fat lady then said the password, after the painting had opened she walked into the common room. She walked to her dorm and went and sat on her bed, she wished she had just told him the truth, but she couldn't tell anyone the truth.

Madam Hooch watched the girl go back into her common room, then headed off to take her morning walk around the grounds.
She didn't see the boy who had been hiding behind the suit of armor, waiting for her to leave.
