Looking at the stars (Kris)

[Sirius Black]

Sirius nodded. "Yeah, we really should go." He stood up and stretched; he was stiff from sleeping in the same position all night. "It was a nice night, though, wasn't it? Just the two of us together." He smiled and kissed her cheek before he headed toward the door.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris bit her lower lip hating herself for keeping half of who she was from him, "I wish.. I wish I could tell you everything." She whispered her voice shaking a bit as she held back tears.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius stopped and put his arms around her. "Hey, hey, hey..." he said. "Don't cry. We just had a beautiful night together, sleeping under the stars. What are you upset about?"

[Kris Lupin]

"There's this whole other part of me I'm afraid to tell you about." Kris said as tears broke free and ran down her cheeks. "I want to tell you b-but I'm scared to."

[Sirius Black]

Sirius hugged her, trying to calm her down. This wasn't the time or place for this. As the sky got lighter, the chances of their being caught increased. He didn't understand why she had gotten upset so suddenly, and he had no idea how to calm her down. "Shhhh... it's OK. We have lots of time to talk about these things... There are parts of me you don't know about, either. We don't have to talk about them now... and there's no reason to be scared. I love you, remember?"

[Kris Lupin]

"You don't understand... this thing is a part of who I am and it makes me have to lie to you... and I'm scared that if I tell you what it is you'll leave me." Kris knew they needed to leave but she had o get this out of her system.

[Sirius Black]

Sirius was still confused, but he held her tightly. "I'm not gonna leave you," he said. "I don't want there to be secrets between us... I'm sure whatever it is, we can deal with it together, OK?" He kissed her forehead. "I love you."

(OOC: Remember, you can't tell him yet. This is taking place before everything that happened with Amy. If he knew the truth about you and cheated on you anyway, he'd be a real cad...)

((I know.. she's just having a little guilt breakdown))

Kris gently pushed him away shaking her head then ran back inside, she had tears in her eyes as she left the room.

((I was just thinking, what if she got caught or something?))

[Sirius Black]

Sirius stood, bewildered, staring after her. "What the...?" he said, scratching his head. "What just happened here?" He swore he would never understand women. Shrugging, he headed after her. He hoped they wouldn't get caught.

(OK... I'll send a professor to catch her.)

[Kris Lupin]

Kris had her head down as tears fell from her eyes as she walked, she wanted to just burst out the truth. She really didn't understand why she had even told him that much, she kinda hoped he would figure it out. Part of her wanted to leave and go home to her father but the part that loved Sirius wanted to stay, she felt torn in two and she didn't know how much longer she could stand it.

[Madam Hooch]

Every morning at the crack of dawn, Madame Hooch awoke, while the rest of the castle was sleeping. She liked to go out and take a brisk morning walk around the grounds. It helped to start off her day and give her energy and keep her healthy and fit.

Normally, when she was walking through the hushed halls of the castle, she didn't see a single person. So it came as a great surprise to her when she nearly ran into a young girl, who was running through the halls and who appeared to be crying.

"What in Merlin's name..." Madame Hooch gasped. "Young lady, what are you doing out here at this hour?"

[Kris Lupin]

Kris looked at the ground, she wasn't going to get Sirius in trouble so she said, "I just had a nightmare and wanted to go outside..." She was tired of lying but this was to keep Sirius out of trouble.

[Madam Hooch]

Madam Hooch shook her head. "Dear girl, you can't go wandering out at this hour by yourself. Couldn't you talk to one of your roommates? Which house are you in? I'll walk you back to your common room."

[Kris Lupin]

"This nightmare was caused by something that had really happened... kinda another family secret." Kris said quietly.

[Madam Hooch]

Madam Hooch wasn't quite sure what the girl was talking about; she rarely got involved in the lives of the students. But she nodded politely. "Well, I'm sorry you couldn't tell anyone, but again, you can't really be walking about this early. Come, I'll walk you to your common room. Which house did you say you were in?"

[Kris Lupin]

"I'm in Gryffindor." Kris kept her eyes on the floor because she was worried that if she looked up the adult would be able to see that she was lying.

[Madam Hooch]

"Gryffindor," Madam Hooch repeated. She turned around, trying to remember which way the Gryffindor common room was. "Right... it's this way," she said after a moment, turning around and heading back in the direction she had come from.

But it was a strange thing... if the girl had just left her room and was heading out of the castle, why had she been running toward the common room? She walked with the girl back to the portrait of the Fat Lady.

"Now, tell me, dear," she said as they came to a stop in front of the painting, "Why were you really out?"

[Kris Lupin]

Kris looked up at her and said, "I told you why." She said wondering why she didn't believe her.

[Madam Hooch]

Madam Hooch shook her head. "Sorry, but I wasn't born yesterday. Based on the direction you were running, you were going towards the Gryffindor Common Room, not away from it. So what were you really doing? Don't worry, I'm not going to punish you or anything." She wondered briefly if she should be promising that.

[Kris Lupin]

Kris hugged herself as she said quietly, "I guess I was just having a breakdown because of the pressure of having to lie to my boyfriend and my family problems and everything... I did have that nightmare, but last night before midnight... I had went to the astronomy tower and ended up falling asleep." She still hadn't gotten Sirius in trouble and she didn't want to.
