"I wore glasses," said Evangeline, "and I had to tutor some kids, plus too, I was known to study all the time, so I think that quailfies me as a nerd back then." Evangeline laughed. "I remember you being a troublemaker, but then again, the majority of troublemakers when they were kids turn out okay."

Tristan smiled. "Well, all I can say is, you've come a long way since then," Tristan said. "I guess we both have. I mean, I hardly ever play pranks anymore. Well, except for this annoying guy I work with who takes everything too seriously. He's kind of fun to mess with. There was this one time when I tricked him into thinking that I'd developed super-human strength with a potion... it was really funny."

Evangeline laughed. "Well then," she said. "I haven't played a prank in awhile. Being in the registry thing is not really a place to play pranks, or even joke for that matter, since werewolves, and some other people come in. The majority of the people are the type of people you don't want to mess with. Worse than the ones at the Hog's Head."

"Now, that's a shame," Tristan said. "Sounds to me like they're just the kinds of people who could use a litle humor in their lives." He finished the last of his sandwich and leaned his chin on his hand. "So, what do you want to do after this?" he asked.

"The only humor I can imagine that's in their lives are fighting," said Evangeline. "Well, I dunno what we can do after this. We could always go to my house and hang around."

"That sounds like a great idea," Tristan said. "I'd love to see your house. I bet you have it decorated really nice, right?" He gave her a grin. "Just... whenever you're ready, we can go."

"Well, it's not bad looking inside. I want to repaint it whenever I can get paint," said Evangeline. She finished the last few bites of her sandwhich and stood up, pushing her chair under the table. "Alright, let's go."

"Ok," he said. He took out a handful of galleons and put them on the counter to pay for their food. Standing up, he ran a hand quickly through his hair and held out a hand for her. "Come, my lady, let's go," he said in an exaggerated tone, giving her a stiff bow.

Evangeline gave a small laugh and took his hand. "Thanks Tristan. For everything, especially what happened at the club," she said.

He smiled, and leaned close to her to press a light kiss on her cheek. "Think nothing of it," he told her. "I was glad to save you from that vampire. And I've had a really good time tonight. I just like being with you."

Evangeline smiled. "I've had a really good time tonight too," she said. "I'm glad that you showed up in my life when you did. Everything had been a total bore."

"Well, I'm glad to have met you, too," he replied. He walked over and opened the door for her. "I was getting into a bit of a rut myself. Sometimes it's just too easy to get into a pattern, and before you know it, each day is almost exactly the same as the last. You've brightened up my life."

Evangeline smiled and reached up and kissed him on the cheek. "I'm glad that things are not going to be such a bore. Just to let you know, don't be surprised if you see books everywhere in my house. I mean they won't be just stacked up, but there's a few laying around. I haven't gotten the chance to put them away."

"Oh, don't worry about that," Tristan said casually. "A little mess doesn't bother me. In fact, I think it's kind of cute. My place is usually a total mess. Knowing that you're a little messy just makes you more attractive to me. It means you're not perfect. Who wants perfect? I don't. I'm certainly not perfect."

"Trust me, I'm far from perfect," said Evangeline. "I know some people go insane knowing that their or someone else's house is in a mess, or a little messy. I couldn't live with an extremely clean house all the time. I mean clean is good, but I don't care to much for it to be spotless, you know?"

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I've known a few people who were neat freaks, and they were always worrying so much about whether or not things were neat, that they never really had any fun or anything. You know, sometimes you just have to relax a little." He leaned in and kissed her lightly. "So, are you gonna show me around?"

Evangeline smiled. "Yeah, I guess I can. Of course, this is the living room. The room through that door is the kitchen," said Evangeline pointing to the door, then she walked to the small hall. "And down the hall, is a bathroom and two bedrooms. I know it's small, but I like it."

"No, it's cute," Tristan said. "I like it. It's much nicer than my place, since my place is just a room over the Leaky Cauldron. I'd been thinking about getting a place of my own, but I just haven't had the time to look, you know?"

"Oh, I hate those rooms," said Evangeline. "I had to stay there once. Only when I was trying to find a house, but luckly, I found this one with no problem." Evangeline took a seat on the couch. "Yeah, I understand. Why don't you take a seat?"

Tristan sat down next to her and put his arm around her. "I've been hoping we could ahve some time alone together all night..." he said, winking at her. He touched her face gently, then with his hand still cupping her cheek, he kissed her.
