Evangeline laughed. "Getting out of here would be a good idea," she said. "Sure, whatever sounds okay with me."

"OK," Tristan said, taking her arm. "I know of a nice little ice cream shop just a couple of blocks from here. I'll take you there." He held the door open for her and swept his arm out in a grand gesture. "After you, my lady."

Evangeline smiled. "Thank you," she said as she walked out of the door. She took his hand as he caught up with her. "I've had the most fun tonight. We should do it again some time."

"Oh, don't say that yet," Tristan said, winking at her. "The night isn't over yet!" He walked slowly, slipping his arm around her shoulders. "It's a beautiful night, don't you think? You aren't cold, are you?"

Evangeline smiled. "It is a beautiful night. You can see all the stars. I remember I used to go outside and just lay down, looking up at the stars. I used do that at Hogwarts, and I still do it at home," she said. "And, no I'm fine, thank you."

"That sounds nice," Tristan said. "You know, I hear you can see the stars really well out by the Shrieking Shack. That is, of course... if you can stand the hideous screams of the ghosts that live there..." he added with an evil laugh.

Evangeline raised an eyebrow. "I've never been out there to be honest. I don't think I've ever had the interest to," she said. "Although I have to say, I don't think there are strange things in that house. I think people have just made things up about it to frighten people."

Tristan chuckled. "You're probably right," he said. "I've been there myself, but I never heard anything. I have a friend who swears he heard screaming once, but I'm not sure I believe him. He actually lies a lot." They reached the ice cream shop, and he opened the door for her. "After you," he said.

Evangeline laughed as she walked into the ice cream shop. "Well, I've heard the same stories. I think we all have," she said. "I think I'll take a sundae. What about you?"

"Yeah, I think I'll go for a sundae, too. Hot fudge, of course." He put his arm back around her and led her over to a table by the window. "This place has the best hot fudge sauce. You gotta try it."

"Maybe I will," Evangeline said with a smile and taking a seat. "I remember Hogwarts had pretty good hot fudge sauce too. Especially late at night," she said with a laugh.

"Ah, yes," Tristan laughed. "Yeah, Wes and I used to sneak down to the kitchens and get the house elves to make us food." He shook his head. "Wesley was such a geek, though... he used to ask for fruit. Can you imagine? I mean, you're gonna steal food from the kitchen, you're supposed to steal the good stuff... not fruit!"

"Fruit? Well, I have to admit, I did do that a few times myself. Hogwarts always has the better food than anywhere else," said Evangeline.

"Yeah, but fruit... that's what you eat when you're forced to, not when you're stealing food. But that was Wesley for you." He frowned, realizing he actually almost missed his old friend. "Anyway, tell me what you want, and I'll go up and order it."

Evangeline smiled. "I think I'll just take a regular sundae. I don't think I want too much chocolate tonight. I won't be able to sleep," she said with a laugh.

"Probably a good idea," he said. Smiling, he stood up and said, "I'll be right back." He walked over to the counter and placed their order, then walked back. "OK, I'm back. Did you miss me?" he joked.

Evangeline watched as he walked away and then she glanced out the window. Not much to see since it was dark. She turned to him whenever he returned. "I missed you very much," said Evangeline with a laugh.

Tristan laughed. 'Well, I missed you, too," he teased. "Anyway, they'll bring our order over to us, so I won't have to leave you again."

"I'm glad you're not going to leave me again, because I think I would die," said Evangeline with a serious face, but then she couldn't help it, she started to laugh.

Tristan laughed. "Oh, well, we can't have that, now, can we?" he said. He reached across the table and took her hands in his. "Have I told you lately that you're completely radiant when you smile?"
