Tristan got all dressed up and fixed his hair up nicely, then walked over to Evangeline's house to pick her up for their date. He had to admit, he really liked being so irresistably charming. It was fun, like a game he played with himself to see how quickly a woman could fall for him. Evangeline, he suspected, was already more than halfway there. As he reached the door of her house, he cleared the wicked thoughts from his head and pasted on a charming smile. Quickly he conjured a bouquet of tulips (because roses were just so obvious), and knocked on the door.

Evangeline picked out a simple black skirt and black top to match. The shirt wasn't short, it came just above the knee. She didn't put much makeup on, just a touch of mascara, and as soon as she got done combing her hair, she heard a knock on the door. Evangeline grabbed her small bag and opened the door. When she opened it, she saw Tristan standing there. Evangeline smiled at him and glanced at the flowers. "They're gorgeous! And my favorite," she said with a smile.

"You're welcome," Tristan said, handing them to her. "I saw them and they made me think of you." He leaned against the door frame and waited for her to put the flowers into a vase.

Evangeline quickly found a vase and sat the flowers in it. She turned back to the door and smiled at Tristan. "You ready?"

"I was born ready," he joked, giving her a wink. He laughed. "OK, that was stupid. But, yeah, I'm ready. Let's go," he said, offering her his arm.

Evangeline shook her head. "You and your corny lines," she said with a smile. Evangeline shut her door and took his arm. "I'm glad I don't have to work tomorrow."

"Yeah, I have the day off tomorrow, too. I don't get a lot of days off, so when I do, I like to take some time to relax and have fun. Hey, maybe we should do something together?" he suggested, as they began to walk into town.

"Yeah, I guess we could. All I had planned was maybe clean up a little and sleep all day, so we could do something," said Evangeline.

"Well, I guess I'll have to see what can come up with then," he said with a grin. "Anyway, did I mention yet that you look really pretty tonight?"

"No," said Evangeline. "Thanks. You don't look to bad yourself tonight," she said smiling. "It's pretty bad that I have a closet full of clothes and I have no idea what's all in there. Luckly, I found this."

He smiled. "Well, it works for you," he said. They rounded a corner, and found a huge puddle in front of them. Tristan quickly pointed his wand at the puddle and it dried up instantly. "Don't want you to ruin your shoes," he said.

Evangeline slightly blushed at his comment. "Thanks," she said smiling. Whenever they rounded the corner, she saw the puddle as well, and watched as Tristan dried it up. "Thanks, again," she said with a slight laugh.

"Hey, no problem," he said, shrugging. He took her hand and continued walking. They were almost at the club now, and he pointed ahead at an alleyway alongside the club. "Don't ever let anyone take you back there," he said. "I hear that's where the vampires like to take their victims."

Evangeline nodded. "I wouldn't want to go into that alleyway anyway. It's too creepy looking," she said. "Plus to, I don't think I'm going to be leaving with anyone else, but you tonight, so I think I'm good."

"Good," he said. "Because if you did leave with someone else, I'd be sad." He made a sad face. "And if any vampires get near you, I'll slay them myself. I even have a stake. Just in case..."

Evangeline smiled. "Don't worry. I don't think there will be any slaying tonight," said Evangeline. Finally, they reached the club and Evangeline opened the door and walked in, holding the door open. "There's not that many people here tonight."

Tristan stepped in and looked around. "Yeah, the place is fairly dead for a Friday night," he agreed. "Usually this place is packed. Maybe it's because the Weird Sisters aren't playing tonight. Personally, I think they're overrated, but they do bring a crowd with them."

Evangeline nodded. "I don't really listen to them a lot. I mean I listen to different types of music, just not the Weird Sisters. I've never really been a fan," said Evangeline with a shrug. She took a seat at the bar and ordered a firewhiskey. "I haven't had a good drink in awhile."

"The drinks here aren't bad," he said. "The Hog's Head tends to water them down a little, and The Three Broomsticks is more expensive. This place is pretty fair. I'll have a firewhiskey, too," he said to Maddie. As she was getting his drink, Tristan leaned in close to Evangeline. "The bartender is weird. She always talks to that fish thing behind the bar."

"Yeah. The only place I get drinks is at the Hog's Head, because they water them down. And I only drink that stuff if I've had a bad day, and whenever I don't work," said Evangeline. Evangeline turned her head slightly, and noticed how close he was to her, and she turned slightly pink. "Really? She does? That is kind of strange," she said.
