Tyler popped out of thin air right in front of Madam Puddifoot's small tea shop in Hogsmeade along with Cassidy- whom he had apparated with. It had been a while since he had last been to Madam Puddifoot's, but he remembered going there a lot for a hot drink of tea or coffee with his Hogwarts friends on particularly rainy and cold days. Friends who had all gone their separate ways after graduation and who were now all working in different Ministry departments or with special and important wizard organizations. And here he was at Madam Puddifoots, just happy to be out of his house after being cooped up due to his house arrest order, even if it was with a very nice and surprisingly pretty fellow Auror. He couldn't help but ask himself what he was doing in such a situation. But he smiled at Cassidy and opened the door to the restaurant. "Here we are..."

Cassidy smiled back. "Thanks," she said. She stepped into the coffee shop, which was decorated with little glowing balls of sunshine and beach balls for the summer. "It's a good thing they have good coffee here, because the decor can be kind of nauseating, don't you think?" she commented.

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Tyler said, looking around at all the summer decorations. He walked over to a table and sat down in one of the chairs with a sigh. He ordered two cups of coffee from the waitress and then turned back to Cassidy. "So how have things been going with my case then?" He asked, interestedly, hoping for some good news.

"Well, as you might have guessed, Emily is willing to testify on your behalf. That's good, because she was the main person injured in the attack... it's good to have her on your side. Also, I talked to another Order member, Crystal Jacobs. She was there at the meeting and she knows the other man who was at the attack. She's going to try and talk to him for me, to see if she can get him to admit you were under the curse."

"That's great!" Tyler replied, smiling happily. "Has there been any consideration of a date for my trial yet?" He asked her. If they continued to get more information and Crystal Jacobs could get the one man to admit he had been under the curse, the Wizengamot would have to let Tyler off without any kind of punishment.

Cassidy shook her head. "No, I haven't heard anything about that yet. Hopefully it will be soon. But in the meantime, I can talk to some of the other Order members to see if they can give me any more information. I'm also wondering about the other man involved in the attack... Charles. If both men turned on Claudia, then maybe he can also provide some back up. But as of right now, I think things are looking up for your case."

"That's awesome." Tyler said, grinning triumphantly. It was unfortunate that he couldn't go with Cassidy when she questioned Charles in order to give him a nice beating for getting him in this whole thing in the first place. "Great job, Cassidy. I knew you'd be able to do this. And even though this whole thing isn't over yet, I can't thank you enough." He added, smiling at her.

Cassidy blushed. "Well, thanks. But so far, it's been pretty easy. Your biggest opponent so far has been Vincent. And I'll be honest... he's really mad. But I'm sure Emily can get him to change his mind. But things are going to get harder. The other Order members might not be as forgiving as Emily. But I want this to turn out in your favor. I believe in you, and I think you can beat this."

Tyler nodded, smiling. "Thanks. And I know I can beat this too. I just...needed someone to help me out." He added. "And I think Emily can play a big part in this. The Order forgave her and she's even on the Wizengamot now. So if she talk to them and show them that my case isn't too much different from her's, maybe they'll understand." He explained. "But I think as long as we're optimistic about this and don't give up, we'll come through fine." He stopped and smiled at her as he got lost in her deep blue eyes. Once he realized he was staring a little bit, he quickly looked down at his feet, blushing as his face turned bright red.

"Yeah, and she's not the only former Death Eater that's in the Order and everything. Voltaire and Isabella Rothschild were as well," Cassidy said. "I'm going to try to talk to them, too. Isabella wasn't there, but... uh... she might have some sympathy for your case..." She was momentarily distracted by his smile, and she nervously looked around. "Oh, whatever happened to our coffee?" she said, giggling slightly.

"Oh, yeah, its not here yet, is it?" Tyler said, looking around the restaurant to try and find Madam Puddifoot. "I guess Madam Puddifoot has gotten a little slower over the years." He added, chuckling slightly.
After Madam Puddifoot finally strode out of the kitchen and gave Tyler and Cassidy their cofee and bill, Tyler took a sip from his cup and looked back up at Cassidy. "So...um...how have you been doing outside of work and everything?" He asked, unsure of what else to talk about.

"Oh," Cassidy said, blushing. "I, um... well, I guess I'm OK. I'm not really all that interesting. I go out sometimes with my friend Evangeline. She works in the werewolf registry. But, um, she's got a boyfriend now... so I haven't seen her as much lately. I mostly just go home and read. I'm pretty boring, actually." She took a sip of her coffee and stared down at the table nervously.

"C'mon, I'm sure you're more interesting than you give yourself credit for. In fact, that's better than what I do all day these days. I usually sit around and do practically nothing." Tyler shrugged. "I've been trying to work in my yard and stuff just for something to do, but I usually just end up getting bored doing that too. I just wish I could get out and do something productive for the Order or even anyone for that matter." He said, frowning.

"Well, you'll be able to soon enough, hopefully," Cassidy said. "Um, in the meantime, I could bring you over some books, if you like. Oh, and I have one of those muggle things... you know, a television? I don't watch it much, so you could borrow it, if you want. It only gets one channel. Still, sometimes there are some good shows on. I could probably use magic to get more channels, but we're not supposed to. But I do use magic for the power, since we don't have the kind of muggle electricity you need to use it."

"Oh, yeah, sure. That would be great, actually. If its not too much trouble. " Tyler replied. "I've never actually seen one of those things, but I've heard of them. And I'm sure that trying to figure out how to work it without magic will keep me occupied anyways, even if watching it doesn't. Muggles and their electricity... The things they come up with can be quite complicated sometimes." He chuckled lightly. "But I hope I'm not becoming too much of a bother to you." He added, sincerely.

"Oh, no, you're not a bother at all!" Cassidy said quickly. "In fact, I actually like helping you... Um, well, you know, because I actually feel like I have a purpose now and that I'm really capable of being an auror, and not just that girl in the office who does all the paperwork." She gave a nervous giggle. "Besides... you're nice."

Tyler blushed a little bit and let a small grin spread across his face. "Thanks. But really, I just didn't want it to seem like I was being rude or selfish or anything like that. I mean, if I could do anything to help you with all this, I would. But it does make me feel a little bit better that you're actually doing something you want to because of my case." He said, taking another sip of his coffee. "I just need something to do, that's all."

"Oh, I understand," Cassidy said. "I mean, you were just in a situation where you had no control over your own actions, and were forced to do things you didn't want to do. And now, when you're free of the spell, you still have no control over everything and are forced to depend on someone--me--just so you can get out of the house for a while. It really isn't fair, and I feel badly about that. I just wish I could make this process move a little faster for you. But I'm afraid it's going to take time to talk to everyone involved and build a case. Plus we have to wait for your trial... it must be so frustrating for you."

"Well, yeah...it is. But, I get why it has to be this way. I mean, I'm not blaming the Ministry or the Order or anyone except for the Death Eaters really. If I were a different member in the Order, I wouldn't trust me either after everything. Yeah, I guess it really isn't fair, but since when has anyone's life in this world been fair, you know?" Tyler replied. "I guess I just need to buck up and pull through it all." He chuckled nervously. "I must sound like an idiot. I don't mean to act like I'm feeling sorry for myself. Its just...I've never really had a friend to talk to about problems like this. Not that I've ever had problems like this....but, you know what I mean?"

"No, no, don't worry about it," Cassidy said. "I mean... you've been through something. Torture, the Imperius Curse... dueling with Dumbledore... I can't imagine how it feels to go throguh all that, and then have the ministry take away all your power... You've got to feel pretty helpless. But don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help you. I know I'm not much... but hopefully I'll be good enough."
