Tyler smiled. "I'm sure you will be. I think its just that I need a little bit more time before I get to used to the fact that I'm not who I used to be anymore." He looked down at his feet. "Again, I know it sounds kind of dumb, but I just don't know who I am anymore or who I'm supposed to be. And I feel like I need some time to contemplate that on my own." He said, frowning. "But, we should probably get going soon. I'm sure you stuff to do."

"Oh, that's awful," Cassidy said. "But, well, it could be a good thing, I guess. I mean, a little self-reflection never hurt anyone I suppose. Not that I've ever done it... I always just figured there wasn't really much to reflect on. It's not like I'm even pretty." She blushed as she said that, realizing that she'd just said too much. "I mean, um... never mind. Yeah... I guess we should be going soon. I do need to do some more work on your case."

Tyler stopped her, "No, don't get so down on yourself. You look fine. And in fact, I think you are pretty." He said, failing to mention the fact that he actually thought she was very pretty. But he didn't think it was quite the time or place to admit something like that. He blushed a little bit, slightly surprising himself.

"Oh... no... I'm not," Cassidy said, staring down at the table. "But thank you for saying so. I, um, I think you're pretty good-looking yourself." She blushed furiously, regretting that she had ever said anything. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said that. Um... maybe we should go. I could take you home and I could go get you that television..."

"Uh...yeah, that's probably a good idea." Tyler nodded, feeling a bit awkward. He took one last sip of his coffee, finishing it off and setting a few galleons down for the bill. "Whenever you're ready." He added.

"OK, good," Cassidy said, still blushing. She took out a few galleons to pay for her coffee and set them on the table before standing up. "Um, OK, let's go then. Do you want to apparate there, or just walk?"

"I suppose we could walk. I am kind of sick of apparating. Its up to you though." Tyler said, chuckling slightly. Although, after what had just happened, he didn't really know if walking was such a good idea. Had she just admitted that he was "pretty good-looking"? He blushed again at the thought. He nervously turned his head away from her, so that she wouldn't see him blushing. He pulled his act together and opened the door of Madam Puddifoot's, walking out with her.

"Oh, walking is fine. I can imagine you'd be tired of apparating with me. Um, sidealong apparating always feels a little weird, since you're not controlling it yourself." Plus you'd have to hold on to me, she thought, blushing wildly. She had to stop this... hopefully a little fresh air would do them both some good. "So, um... did you need any supplies or anything that I could bring you? Food, or butterbeer... anything like that?"

"No, I don't think so. I think I'm fine. I've got a month or two worth of food back at my place. I hadn't really had much time at my own house to eat it before I got cursed by Claudia. I was usually working out of town or something and would just stay at an inn or in some kind of pub." Tyler replied, smiling lightly. "In fact, I don't think I've ever spent so much time at my own house in my life. Well, besides my childhood, of course."

"Well, that's good, then," Cassidy said. "I guess while you're home, you can fix up the house and stuff. It sounds pretty exciting, getting out there and going to all those different places all the time. I've always been kind of a homebody. I don't go out much. But I decorated my house really nicely... and I have a nice garden, too. Maybe I'll show it to you sometime."

"Sure. That'd be nice." Tyler replied, still smiling. "But, I don't know. Seeing so many different places was kind of fun at first, but after a while you start to feel kind of homesick. Or at least I did anyways. Frankly, I kind of just wanted to settle down and have a home for once." He made a kind of shrug. "Maybe I will decorate the house up some. That way I'll feel a little bit like I actually own the place."

Cassidy smiled. "And now that you're home, you wish you didn't have to be stuck there. It's OK. It's natural. But if you do a little fixing up, and a little decorating, maybe it will feel a little more comfortable. Just let me know if you need anything." She pushed her hair back from her face and looked at him. "What kinds of places have you been, if you don't mind me asking, that is?"

"Oh, um...I've never really been too far. Usually just in and around England and Scotland. I occasionally got to go to France and Germany and then I've been to the United States several times on vacation. I think I might have family there, but I'm not really very sure. Sometimes I kind of have an urge to investigate the matter, but I don't really know where to begin. My parents never told me much about my heritage or about the rest of my more distant family, but they went to the States often, giving me lame excuses for why they had to leave. And then before I had a chance to really sit down and ask them about it all, they....well, you know." Tyler said, trying to make out a small smile.

"I'm sorry," Cassidy said. "That really must have been awful. I can't imagine how it felt for you. I mean, I lost my brother... but he really deserved what happened to him. He crossed a line and joined with the wrong people, trying to gain more power for himself. My sister, though... I like to try and believe that she's still out there somewhere, but she's been missing so long, I sometimes lose hope. Maybe when all this is over, I could help you find your family, and you could help me search for what happened to my sister. That is, if you aren't totally sick of me by then." She gave a small, slightly nervous laugh and looked ahead as she walked.

"No, that sounds good." Tyler nodded. "I mean, you're the only friend that I've really had in a while now. So trust me when I say its gonna take a lot of seeing you to make me sick of you." He grinned as he spoke. "No, seriously though. Its good to know that you actually consider me a friend, rather than just a subject of my case. I'm sure that's more than I can say for most of the other Aurors who could've helped. And actually, I'm glad its you helping me." He smiled at her again. "But yeah, I'd love for us to help each other search for our families. I think it'd be fun."

Cassidy blushed. She realized that she had almost forgotten the fact that she was supposed to be investigating his case, not making friends. But there was something about him that drew her in and made her want to get to know him better. "I guess you are kind of a friend. I... like talking with you. I'm not sure it's right for me to spend so much time with you... but it's not like I have other cases to work on. And... you're easy to talk to. And I do feel bad for what you've been through. I just want to do whatever I can to help you. And yeah, I really do think this will all get cleared up eventually, and we can help each other find our families."

"Well, thanks. Again." Tyler grinned. "Here's my place." He added as they rounded the corner of his lot. "Actually, if you don't mind, I can go with you to your house and pick up the television set so that you don't have to bring it over. Maybe you can show me your house a little bit? I know I've got nothing better to do." He smiled, waiting for her response.

"Oh, OK. Sure, that would be great," Cassidy said, realizing that she really didn't want to say goodbye to him just yet. She was enjoying their time together--maybe a bit too much. But she forced that thought from her mind. "Follow me, I'll take you there." She smiled at him as she began walking in the direction of her place.

Tyler followed her quietly, looking at all of the passing houses and wondering which one was hers. "So...how long have you lived around here?" He asked her, trying to keep the conversation going.

Cassidy thought for a minute. "Oh, I guess about four years. When I first graduated Hogwarts, I was a bit too poor to have a place of my own, so I stayed in London in the Leaky Cauldron. That was I was closer to the Ministry. Finally, after working a few years, I was able to get a place here. I like it here better... I always feel so out of place in London. I guess I'm not much of a city girl. I need to be around plants and trees, you know? How about you?"
