"Yeah, I guess that's kind of the way I am too. Due to always being out of town, I spent a lot of time in hotels and inns. Its not really that I don't like people or anything, I just like a little bit of privacy. I'm not a major fan of all of the noise and 'openness' that living right in the city always seems to include." Tyler replied, nodding in agreement. "But I've been here for about two and a half years now, I think. I lived in the darker and more secluded places of the area after I graduated from Hogwarts and became a...well, follower of You-Know-Who." He said, deciding that it was a good idea to refrain from using "death eater" and "Voldemort" for a while.

Cassidy looked at him shyly. "I can't even imagine you working for... him..." she said. "You seem so nice and friendly... I guess you've really changed a lot since then, huh?"

Tyler nodded again, "Yeah. I guess I really have." He thought about it for a moment. "I don't think I was really ever ready to fight for him in the first place. I just wanted revenge on some people in the Ministry and didn't really know how else to get it. I don't know. Overall, it was just a stupid move on my part." He chuckled awkwardly, unsure of how else to put it. "And I can't exactly say I'm this nice and open to everyone. Its not that I'm not usually mean or anything, just kind of quiet."

"Well, don't worry. I'm quiet, too," Cassidy said. "And I guess I know what you mean about wanting revenge. I became an auror... well, not for revenge so much as to try and make up for what my brother did when he was a death eater. Sad thing is, my parents still talk about him like he was some kind of hero, and they don't even see me, even though I'm the only child they have left." She frowned, wishing she hadn't said so much. "Um, that's my house right up here," she said, pointing to a small yellow house with purple wisteria vines hanging down from the covered porch.

Tyler looked up to where Cassidy was pointing and saw the small yellow house decorated with a fair assortment of nice-looking flowers in the front. "It looks nice." He commented, smiling as he got a good look at the entire house. "I guess all that work really paid off." Tyler added, glancing at all the surrounding plants and decorations as he followed Cassidy up to the front door.

Cassidy smiled. "Thanks. I like flowers and plants... I like to keep everything all bright and colorful. I could help you with your garden if you want.... although, of course, I'm sure you'd rather use some more, um, manly plants?" She blushed. "I mean, like a nice tree or... maybe some vegetables or something." She closed her mouth, realizing she was just making herself sound stupid. Instead she walked up to the porch and unlocked the door. "So, um, come on in," she said.

Tyler grinned, slightly chuckling at her comment. "Eh...it doesn't really matter to me. Flowers are nice and colorful." He shrugged, stepping into her house as she unlocked the door. He glanced around curiously. The interior of her house was actually set up quite nicely, just like she had mentioned. He smiled as he realized how much time she must've spent arranging it all.

"Oh, OK," Cassidy said. "Well, cool. Just, um... let me know if you want me to help." She looked around the house. "Well... here it is. It isn't much, but it's home. Um..." She was a bit at a loss for what to do next. She'd never had a guys--or anyone other than Evangeline, for that matter--in her house. "Do you, um... want a tour of the place? Not that it'll take more than 5 minutes..."

Tyler grinned again. "I'd love to....but I really probably should get going after I get that TV. I really shouldn't take any more of your time than I already have. Maybe another time though. Some time soon." He smiled. "Maybe this weekend? Some time when we've both- well, when you- maybe have more time to...uh, have me visit." He said, trying not to sound rude at all. He really didn't want to go yet, but he knew she had stuff to do.

"Oh, OK. Right," Cassidy said, feeling slightly disappointed. But it was probably for the best, she told herself. "Um, it's right there, on that shelf," she said pointing. "I haven't used it in a while, and that's where I put it when I'm not using it." She twisted a lock of hair around her finger as she added, "This weekend sounds nice. Hopefully by then, I'll have done some more work on your case. Oh... and um, if you wanted to, you could go out for a few hours tonight. I got it cleared with the Ministry. Just so you can get a change of scenery. But you have to stay in town... and you have to be back by midnight... lame, huh?" she added with a slight laugh.

"Yeah. But I guess it makes sense." Tyler said, grinning again. "Besides, I wouldn't want to embrace my inner, wild and manic side for too long. I am, after all, a traitorous criminal." He said sarcastically, letting out a small laugh. "Thanks for setting that up though. I could probably use some time out alone. Not that I didn't enjoy the time out with you, but you get what I mean. I'll find something to do." He walked over to where Cassidy had pointed out the TV. "Well, I, uh, should probably get going with this. It shouldn't be too much of a problem to carry it over. After using magic all the time, I guess I got kind of lazy. I could probably use the exercise." He added, lifting the slightly small, yet quite heavy television set off of the shelf.

"OK, cool. Well, have a good time, then. Just be careful... try not to run into any of the Death Eaters. You can contact me on that little beeper thing I gave you, if you run into trouble." She noticed he was having a bit of trouble with the TV set. "Oh, right, I forgot how heavy that thing could be. Do you want me to put a charm on it to make it lighter?"

"Uh...yeah, actually that'd be a good idea." Tyler nodded, setting it down for a moment so she could perform the charm. Once she had finished, Tyler picked it back up again, relieved to find that it was much lighter. "Yeah, that's much better now." He said, cradling it with one arm. "You're probably getting tired of me constantly saying thanks, so I won't say it again. But, uh, yeah... It was fun to finally get out of the house today. And I guess I'll be seeing you again soon." He said with a smile as he made his way back to her front door.

"OK, no problem," Cassidy said. "I had a goood time today, too. I'll see you this weekend, and we can talk more about your case." She held the door open for him and gave him a little wave. "Good luck with the TV and everything!"
After he was gone, Cassidy closed the door and walked over to sit on her sofa. She felt strangely... happy.
